Weren't some of the comments after the Partick match that Lionel couldn't play in the cold? That seems not to have been the case in Saturday's blizzard...
  2. Others have come and gone while you've been with ICT and you've always been right up there amongst our very best players - and a firm fans' favourite. Best wishes for whatever you do next, and thanks for the good times. Hope to see you back at ICT again...
  3. I?d like to see Rooney given a run of games ? he looks more hungry, does more running and links better with the wide players. Obviously, he?s not proven as a goalscorer, but neither is Barrowman. In my view, Wood did much better than expected on Saturday and caused Celtic's defence some problems. He needs to work on his first touch though as too many times he got himself in a good position around the edge of the box but lost the ball by just failing to control it. He looked more assured once Rooney was on with him.
  4. He has also had a few howlers... but hopefully he will learn quickly, we really cant afford to give more goals away. He seemed to do not badly on Saturday, albeit by the time he came on Celtic's attacking was a lot less threatening than it had been earlier on.

Do they still change ends at half time at Gayfield? I remember having a good blether with (injured) Tokely in the burger van queue at half time, back in the day. How many balls made it over the stand, onto the beach?
  6. Bummer. There goes the "top of the league and you're no" chant on Saturday...

Pouring (justified) abuse on Alan Combe from the North End at the New Year Kilmarnock game :016:. Terrific fun...
  9. Great news. A good bit of business, I reckon.
  10. I was delighted for Barry that he clinched the winner on Saturday - despite it being a very small consolation for the events of the previous Sunday. Good on yer, Barry. Keep up the good work!
  11. Great performance summary Harry Chibber. Spot on assessment, IMHO - except I might have given Barry :003: :003: :003: :003: :003:
  12. Totally gutted. I thought Bayne, Wilson, Duncan, Black were all outstanding, and everyone else played pretty well too. For me, the subs didn't help but I'm not sure bringing anyone else on would have made much difference. Celtic looked sharp at the beginning but less so as the game wore on and I don't think their subs made much difference either. That's part of what made it so hard to take - with 10 minutes left Celtic looked like they might be losing belief, errors crept in, some duff cross/shots, letting the ball slip out of play etc. I started to think it might be our day. In the end, I guess what the Celtic fans sung was (sadly) true - "that's why [they're] champions." What a sickener.
  13. It says Bullock would likely only consider moving back North if guaranteed first team football. Can't see Mike being too happy about that scenario....
  14. Today's Sun has a report saying we're interested in taking Tony Bullock from St Mirren as back up/competition for Michael Fraser :017:
