  1. I recollect being able to buy friendly tickets for the St. Johnstone and Ross County games a couple of years ago in advance.
  2. And in other news, betting for WC 2014 have started, with Scotland at 1000-1 to win it. I'm surprised that's not just the odds of them qualifying!
  3. Eh!? I have excellent taste I'll have you know! :)
  4. It could be of course, that there's a band across the middle a la the Flybe.com inclusion on the 2007/08 ICT shirt. That might look quite snazzy actually.
  5. Inconsistent is the word that first comes to mind. You'd see him one week and he'd be quite good, and then you'd see him the next week and he'd be dreadful. I don't think he was quite as bad as some made out, but at times you really did think there was a chance that he was going shoot at his own goal or any other crazy thing you can think of. He is quick and has a few tricks, and I always thought he could make it as a winger, but at left back he's often a accident waiting to happen, though an entertaining one, I have to say. A typical Lionel moment? - On the first home game of last season against Ayr United, Lionel got position of the ball in his part of the field. He then slalomed like an Olympic skier round the entire Ayr squad, until he got to the bi-line where he booted the ball into the stand! That was a typical Lionel moment.
  6. The OP's asked for an opinion about the player, and whether it's good or bad is irrelevant. He's asked for an honest opinion, and people should give him that, whatever it is. On Stratford, I thought he was rubbish. No speed, can't pass, can't tackle, doesn't shoot even when he's in a perfect position to do so, no good at all. IIRC his only good aspect is his cornerkick taking, but other than that he isn't a good player.
  7. Are you an ICT fan or one of those Caley "rebels" who love to have a go at the club at every opportunity? It certainly seems the latter.
  8. Link According to the link, Butcher says Duff will not be coming back. ;)
  9. So what position is Blumenshtein? I've read some reports that say he's a striker, though others say he's a midfielder. So which one is he, or is he both?
  10. Here's another WC fact for you - no goalkeeper has ever scored in the WC finals. But this is probably the closest ever (1:17) -
  11. How come Uruguay have always had a pretty decent side, yet are only about the size of Wales? What are they doing right that others aren't?
  12. When was that?
  13. Renegade replied to bauhaus's topic in Caley Thistle
    I prefers Chile's 3-3-1-3 formation myself.
  14. I don't know what all the fuss is about. I stopped noticing the sound of them ages ago.
  15. I don't think Black had much experience either really. I believe he played in the Blackburn Reserves a few time and trained with the first team, but that was about it.
  16. That interesting, as I also heard a while ago that the stripes would be back. Lets hope so!
  17. Someone reported that it was Jim Leighton the other week IIRC.
  18. Heard he arrives at the club on the 15th July, dont have a name but he is a mate of Butchers? any speculation? Peter Shilton!?
  19. Not unless ICT change to 4-4-2 with Hayes and Foran on either wing with Blumenshtein partnering Rooney up front.
  20. I see Grimsby Town have just released their new shirts which are also made by Errea. Something like this but with red and blue stripes perhaps? :P
  21. Now that ICT are back in the SPL, each player will be given an individual number. I presume Esson will take the number 1 shirt, despite being number 23 last time. Will Tokely go back to the number 2? Will Hayes take the number 11? Will Golly go back to his old number 3 shirt? From the article about the new signings on the official site, it looks like Max Johnson will take the number 22 shirt, while Gil Blumanshtin the number 18. And also, surely Rooney will go back to the number 9. He better, or his song would make no sense! Discuss.
  22. Does anyone else recollect Butcher saying that there was a chance that two keepers may be brought in during the pre-season? It's also interesting to note that Butcher has also said that he wants some experienced competition for Esson, something that this newly signed keeper does not have much of (yet), bar some reserve games at Newcastle. Perhaps the case is (also bearing in mind about Butcher's bids for Tuffey), that Max Johnson may be third choice keeper next season with someone else being brought in to fight for the number 1 spot with Esson.
  23. I don't remember the exact date, but it was quite late on IIRC. Edit - Had a look, and it looks like the away kit last season was unveiled on July 15th 2009.
  24. I think there could be a chance that if Odhiambo plays well next season he may be called up to the Tanzania squad. It happens all the time on Football Manager!
  25. Well that's him. ICT seem to have a history of taking players who maybe didn't fulfil their whole potential and help them turn out good. Hopefully this is another one of those.
