  1. SPL St. Mirren have signed Danny Lennon from Cowdenbeath as their new manager.
  2. From what I've heard, the Australian side that was after Tokely was North Queensland Fury, who up until a couple of months ago were managed by ex-Rangers man Ian Ferguson, but with him leaving recently they dropped their interest. They signed a couple of Scottish based players last season, Dyron Daal being a prime example. As well as having Robbie Fowler last season too. IIRC, they were awfully short of money, which in turn led to Ferguson leaving and joining Perth and taking Fowler with him. Whether it's Perth that are now after Tokely I'm not sure, but NQF were one of the teams after him.
  3. For me, having a good keeper should be the priority, the wages may well be the issue (though I believe in Esson's case the length of contract is the issue), it would be well worth it to spend as much as you can to ensure that that position is suitably filled. On the second point, length is important. Whilst it is better to have them signed up for at least some time rather than none, I'd rather have someone like Esson signed up for the future with the end in a few years time, so he cannot leave for free (when, should he gauge the interests of other clubs and a possible transfer bid could come ICT's way), or have to go through this same tooing and frowing next year.
  4. In response to post #47 - :P I was actually referring to the fact, that ICT seem to have make a mess of things. It's happened before. Whether it be on the pitch, such as ICT's habit of losing late goals, or whether it'd be off the pitch, such as how more effort wasn't made to keep Bobby Mann or Darren Dods (a player who's never been properly replaced) or the disastrous decision to bring back Brewster, which in turn led to the end of players such as Barry Wilson, Ian Black and John Rankin at ICT. There's many more. That's got nothing to do with whether I support the club or not, cause anyone could see that history may be repeating itself again. I think most people quite easily comprehended what I meant.
  5. Agreed. But remember people, this is Caley Thistle. A club that usually blows it.
  6. That's got me thinking, for a club of ICT's age, there's been an awful lot of mascots. Off the top of my head - Angus the Stag ICat Nessie the Monster Caley Croc Johnny the Fox - lasted one game I believe Bring back Angus I say. He was the best.
  7. It just shows that Dundee paid money for nothing!
  8. Renegade?
  9. I once saw Adam Rooney in Starbucks! :011:
  10. Does anyone know of any foreign sides coming to Scotland for the pre-season? From what I read from it, it won't be an English team either. The use of "European" has more continental connotations.
  11. Who was the sub keeper that day? If it was Les Fridge in goal then Celtic would of scored at least seven.

One player who will not be making a return to Caledonian Stadium, however, is goalkeeper Michael Fraser, with Butcher ruling out a move for the player who left a year ago to join Motherwell. :(

Agreed. I've been saying that for ages.
  14. Here you go -
  15. Is she not still married to that geezer that looked like his face melted a while age?
  16. Have they ever heard of Lionel Djebi-Zadi? Or would he be a bit above their standard?

I'd rather see Tokely move back out wide and a big, powerful Bobby Mann/Darren Dods-esque centre back coming in. And yes, I think you can get a second testimonial.
  18. I see Phil McGuire has been released by Arbroath. Unquestionably the greatest defender I've ever seen in an ICT shirt - even better than big Bobby! His speed, his passion, his skill, he's just what's needed at ICT. Sign him up!
  19. Maybe the problem is not what the mascot looks like, rather the boring effortless job he does. Maybe ICT should encourage their mascot to be more fun and entertaining, instead of just wandering around and waving at uninterested people. So, I hereby propose that ICT get an entertaining mascot like the old St Mirren one - Paisley Panda! Apparently some of Paisley Panda's greatest episodes include playing banjo in front of the Morton fans, gesturing with an inflatable sheep to QOTS fans, using a Falkirk shirt as toilet paper and even giving birth to another panda before a televised game against Rangers! Come on ICT, give us a fun filled mascot and not a dull wandering thing!

    New Stadium for ICT?
  21. Camera plays for some Greek team now.
  22. Just shows you can't buy success.
  23. Black didn't betray anyone. He was a good player, who felt that he, in order to further his career had to move to a larger club. He saw more opportunities to make something for himself at Hearts than he did at ICT. What's the matter with that? He also stayed until his contract was up, whilst also getting away from a manager whom he disliked immensely. Look at Richard Hastings? He wanted to further his career and gain more caps for Canada. First of all he went to County (not much of furthering career there mind) and then went to a foreign club and scored in the Champions League. He'd have never have done that with ICT. In the end he decided to return even though at that point ICT were a bigger club than they had been. He then went on to sign for Hamilton as he felt he'd have more chance of getting in the Canada team. Nothing wrong with that. And what about people like Wilson and Rankin? Both of whom were essentially forced to leave.
  24. :D So because Brewster came back and did badly, that would the same for Black etc.? O-kay. But anyway, a fair few players have returned and been successful. Barry Wilson being a prime example.
