  1. HT - ICT 0-1 Queen of the South FT - ICT 1-2 Queen of the South ICT 1st scorer - Foran Queen of the South 1st scorer - Weatherston Attendance - 2,176
  2. Don't know about that, but we'd certainly see a decent game.
  3. According to the ICT official site, he's only 5"10! (Don't think that's right though, they often get stuff wrong...)
  4. Black IIRC
  5. I for one can't understand why Butcher offered him a contract if he had no intention of playing him. I'm also quite surprised cause I thought Butcher would like a grafter, old time hard worker and experienced player that McBain is. Unfortunaltely Butcher seems to think more about his own ego than what's best. How a poor player like Stratford (unsurprisingly one of Butcher's signings...) gets a place on the bench before McBain is unfathomable. I have to also say, that McBain has never been my favourite player, and I felt he was never his best on the wings, but down the middle or at left back I always felt he did his job well, if modestly and unspectacularly. He ain't a showboater that's for sure. ICT need experience to progress at this level. McBain has SPL experience and has won this league before unlike many of Butcher's signings, most of him have had a little run if any in first team football. I for one would also much rather see McBain than Duncan in the centre, mainly cause he can actually pass and do his job effectively and can barely think of any occaisons where I came away thinking that he had a poor game. In closing, bring back the Royster!
  6. I was gonna put that point on myself. The Family Section is an official thing put there by ICT, the whole Section G singing area is an unofficial fan/casuals/ultras/singers area. If there is futher "problems" with it being so close to the official family section, then you could always move it further along, and change your season ticket seats.
  7. 1 up front !!! That'll have the fans flocking back to TCS . not like you to pick out one of my posts Didn't see any Chelsea fans complaining when Mourinho was playing 3 in midfield, Drogba & 2 wingers... or Liverpool fans complaining when they have Torres as the only front man with Gerrard playing off him??? Infact the majority of games last season Man U played with Rooney on his own And before you ask... yes Foran is a poor man's Drogba.... Cox is a poor man's Gerrard and Hayes is a poor man's Ronaldo!!! That formation would be fine but we dont have the players to play it. The thing about the Chelsea formation, is that it is pretty attack minded. The wide men are essentially forwards, in the sense that were on the wings, but attacking all the time. The 4-5-1 at home especially with ICT's players wouldn't work, and remember it's the home form that's been shocking for quite a while now, the reason being that ICT have been far too defensive. If it were me in charge, the 4-4-2 would be the most defensive I'd ever go at home. I also wouldn't seeing 3 strikers on from the start on Saturday as well.
  8. Should he start earlier? Probably. Should be on from the start? Sometimes. The fact that he's scored three goals this season (one was a penalty, another a tap in, don't know what his goal was like for in the Annan game), shows that at times he does know where the goal is, but if he ain't right in the goal, he doesn't seem to really know what to do IMO, and I've seen him a few times right in the box, needing to score when it really mattered and he fails to hit the target.
  9. Have to agree with that. Lionel did/has made some awful bloopers, but so has all the players at one time or another. It's funny you should mention Tokely. Tokely is/can be an a very good player, but he's another one who can be prone to some awful clangers, yet the vast majority of the ICT still adore him no matter how bad he is.
  10. I'm not talking about just Sunday here, I'm just saying that as he seems to be the same every week.
  11. B) Not when you start a post like that! So who doesn't understand what? :clapping03: :P
  12. I don't mean to be rude, but on which planet do some of you spend most of your time? Some of you are saying that the performance doesn't matter, but you only say that cause you know that was, to put it bluntly awful. Do I think Butcher's doing a good job? No. He might talk a good game but he seems to be able to do nowt else right. Do the team look organised? No. Do the team have good ball control? No. Do the team have good communication? No. Do the team look fit? No particularly. There's a reason why Butcher's been sacked 4 times (five times if count Malpas's sacking from Swindon, to make up the whole management team). The reason for this is simple. He signs poor players, he plays awful football, his teams are completely disorganised, and for the fact that he was such a profound defender (and Malpas for that matter), you'd think he'd know he's know something about defending. I reckon the current ICT defence is one of the worst since the amalgamation in 1994. We won't see promotion this season, of that I am fairly sure. Disorganised teams with poor ball control, no fluency, no communication, constant long balls, dreadful passing, a defence that is shakier than an earthquake and are failing to beat teams they should be, like Ayr and Airdrie, do not get promoted. I have some news for you. Butcher is not the greatest thing to happen to ICT ever. Just as well we won't have to put up for him much longer (just as long as Malpas doesn't get the job when he goes), cause if ICT don't get promoted I can't see him sticking around.
  13. How on Earth can anyone give any points to Proctor, let alone 5!
  14. Don't know what Malky's doing but I did hear a few months back that he was strongly being considered for the Chester manager's job. No really.
  15. Sorry but I don't you understand what I'm on about. I'm not saying everyone who disagrees with a certain point is a club insider. But why is it that when a profound section of the support militantly oppose something ICT are doing/done, these folk pop up, spouting the partyline and always act in the manner that the club are always right and the ones who disagree are always wrong. Some will be genuine supporters who hold an opossing view, but I not certain all are "just" supporters.
  16. Risky yes. I'm no fan of him there at all, but feel a centre-back Tokely, is still better than a centre-back Bulvitis.
  17. Aye, he was billed as a right back when he came in. In fact, the only time he actually played for Leicester City, was in a regional tournament (their version of the North of Scotland Cup I think) against Hichcliffe where he played right back. Also seem to recollect some of the posters on the Leicester forum saying he looked pretty solid when he played there.
  18. Rooney's a bit strange really. If he isn't right in on goal he doesn't seem to know what to do, and when he has a chance he doesn't seem to know how to take it. Rather have Barrowman myself. If Rooney spent more time on the training field than he does at Starbucks, he might turn into a half-decent player.
  19. He never gave one away yesterday, but was saved by the woodwork. If he continues passing the way it was yesterday, and the way the rest fo the defence is just now, he'll be at fault for a few goals this seasons. Is he the best left back ICT have? No sure about that. A reckon Shinnie is better, as is McBain for my liking.
  20. For me: -------------------------------------Esson--------------------------------------------------- ---------------------Tokely-------------------------Munro---------------------------------- ---Cox------------------------------McBain-----------------------------Shinnie----------- ---Ross-----------------------------Sanchez----------------------------Hayes------------ -------------------Barrowman------------------------Foran-------------------------------- Subs - Allison, Rooney, Djebi-Zadi, Eagle, Golabek/Proctor Whilst I quite like the oringal posters line-up (besides taking out Bulvitis and swapping round Ross and Hayes, due to neither of them being on their stronger side) I'd go with with this. Esson as always keeps his place, Tokely comes back in at centre half to replace the clumsy and accident prone Bulvitis. I'm no fan of Tokely in at centre-half at all, but he's the only one who could come in to replace Bulvitis and I feel, that even though it aint his strongest position, he would do better than what's there already. Munro as always stays where he is. Proctor is taken out and replaced by Cox at right wing back. Even though Cox has only really played at central midfield for ICT since his signing, but can also play right back (or right wing back in this case). Shinnie (who I have yet to see have a poor game) comes in for the mediocre Golly. McBain comes back in at centre midfield. Ross and Hayes forward to the wings with Barrowman and Foran up front with Sanchez sitting just behind them. This formation is essentially a 4-1-3-2, but with the full backs a little more attacking, though are able to move back should they need to. The thing with this sort of formation is it can change to fir the circumstances. It can be the original 4-1-3-2, a diamod shaped midfielded 4-4-2, it can move more defensively to 5-3-2, it can pack the midfield with 6 across the middle, and it can be used to attack, with a 4-1-5, or 2-3-5.
  21. Absolutely right. That was the first time I saw Golly in the 2nd spell of his ICT career and have to say I wasn't particularly impressed at all. And don't know how he looked in other in the other games, but he didn't look particularly solid at all. His passing was also very wayward and when he didn't pass it, he just hopelessly punted it forward. If that had been Lionel, there would have been tons of posters on here, foaming at the mouth, baying for blood. I would also actually say, that yesterdays defence is one of the worst I have ever seen since ICT. But where's the alternative? This about the left-back position, so I'll keep it at that. I personally would rather see Roy McBain re-introduced at left back or also Graeme Shinnie. For home games though I would also strongly consider going with three across the back, but it won't happen and I doubt we'll see Golly dropped anytime soon, cause he seems to another one of Butcher's favourites.
  22. If that's true it's absolute madness. A - You never boo your own player, and B - he hasn't even been that bad. Sure he hasn't exactly set the world on fire, but come on. There are some folk in the ICT who are just a waste of space. Some of them will start booing if you breathe too fast. Absolutely ridiculous.
  23. For me it was: Foran Esson Munro Close between the top two. How anyone can give 3 points to Bulvitis or any points for that matter is beyond me.
  24. He might of scored, but he's a hopeless player. He is now anyway.
  25. Well I just got back a while and to put it bluntly, it was shocking. No fluency, no communication, no first touch. One up front pure an simple doesn't work, and doing that for a home game is madness. Butcher might talk the talk, but ICT looked hopeless today and had it been a game against a half decent side, it would've been a gubbing. Esson looked really good, Foran tried hard and Munro tried to hold it together the best he could. Duncan, Proctor and Bulvitis can just disappear as far as I'm concerned, the latter in particular was particularly pathetic. A fluke goal won it by Eagle, who did quite well from time to time, but does have periods when he disappears. Not the best passer of the ball either, but who in the ICT team really is? Thank goodness it didn't go to extra time as I don't think I could have put up with any more of that garbage. My results are as follows: Esson - :021: :019: :thumb02: :thumb02: - Looked very good today. Did well with essentially very cross and had a couple of decent saves. Did even better considering the abysmal defence in front of him. Proctor - - What was he thinking? Just rubbish. Can't pass, can't tackle, all in all can't defend. Tokely will be back soon and thank God for that, but where do you put him? The defence is falling to bits. Bulvitis - :020: :020: :020: - Allow me to be frank, he's absolutely dreadful. Can't pass, can't head, can't even control the ball, and the less said about his attempts at "defending" the better. He's just atrocious. Munro - :022: :022: :022: - Looked fairly solid and did the best he could with what he had. Kept it together to the best of his ability as well. Golabek - - First time I've seen him in his second spell at ICT and half to say, I wasn't particularly impressed. Came into it a bit more towards the end of the game, but whatever happened to his overlapping runs and crosses fromt he byline into the box? Poor passing as well. I'd look at re-introducing McBain there, or going with Shinnie again. Hayes - :022: :022: :022: - Put a lot of effort in and did quite well going down the wing. Cox - :024: - A strange one is Mr Cox. Doesn't seem to be the player he was a couple of months ago at all....infact he's turned into Russell Duncan! Doesn't seem to ping the ball out as much anymore and fades away a heck of a lot. Seems to be a different player since he had his cast taken off. Duncan - - Must be the most hopeless player to constitently get a regular game over the last few years. Can't pass to save his life, can't control the ball....can't do anything really. Just all round poor. Bring back the Royster! Eagle - :024: :022: - Scored a bizarre fluke of a goal and did well down the wing at times, but does seem to have patches where he fades away. Not the best passer of the ball either, a coupel of his crosses were okay, but not all of them. Sanchez - :024: - Another one who put the effort in but doesn't seem to know what to do with ball at times. Foran - :thumb02: :thumb02: :thumb02: :thumb02: :thumb02: - A decent shift my Mr Foran. Put the effort in all over the pitch, but desperately needs someone up there helping him. Did especially well considering the distribution to him was poor. Unlucky not to score a couple of times as well. SUBS - Rooney - :024: - Put the effort in when he came on, but doesn't seem to know how to take his chances. Stratford - - Unsurprisingly gave nowt as always in the short time he was on. There was another sub going to come on in the last coouple of minutes but I couldn't tell if it was Barrowman or Ross. One of them had their shirt on and looked to be getting ready and then put their jumper backon and sat back down. Butcher - - Sorry Terry but what were you thinking? 4-5-1 at home didn't work at all, and Foran should never be upfront by himself. Might have won today, but it was a fluke goal and had the opponent been decent, it would have been a gubbing. Need to sort that defence out ASAP, and drop the awful Proctor, Bulvitis, Duncan and even Golabek. Whatever happened to ball control? Whatever happened to passing? Whatever happened to communication? Whatever happened to keeping the ball of the deck? Far too many long ball again today and when ICT did get the passing going it was rubbish. Need to the fundamentals practices on the training ground.
