  1. When I got my mine a couple of weeks ago, the Main Stand was nearly sold out, though there was still a fair amount of North Stand seats available. Not a huge amount though.
  2. I also endorse the aforementioned view, that would favour a tie that would be played in Dingwall against Ross County FC.
  3. Anyone else think that Blumenshtein's corners were quite good?
  4. Too early to say IMO.
  5. I have been led to believe that it pretty is written by someone else, from the player's perspective and they then just stick his name on it.
  6. From what I could see, it was 4-2-3-1 for the first half and 4-4-2 after Odhiambo came on.
  7. Well that was a bit of a boring game. ICT still seem too eager to punt it, with the play not being the best. The best players - Cox looked good, Blumanshtein had some nice touches and McCann was all right. Special mention though has to go to Odhiambo. What an improvement! Last season he could barely pass the ball, and now he's creating chances for fun! Unlike a certain Mr Rooney though who couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo! An improvement is still needed for Celtic mind.
  8. I think the "hoof-the-ball-aimlessly-up-the-park-at-all-times" tactics that most Scottish teams seem to use is a part of the problem.
  9. Would I be right in saying that Barnet are about lower SPL/upper SFL1 standard?
  10. I'm not sure if I'm ready yet to watch ICT play a French left-back that isn't Lionel.
  11. In that case, though, why risk him wide right, as you have him in your original post? I don't remember him making too many effective crosses in any games I've seen him in. FWIW I think he came on to a wee bit of a game in the "hole" towards the end of last season, although I still prefer Sanchez there for his passing ability. Having said that, I've not seen any pre-season games, so I don't really know who I'd play in the wide positions with Hayes and Foran out. Wide Right is Odhiambo's natural position. He's also got the speed to be effective there, which he couldn't use in the "hole" and has played better there every time I've seen him (which is a couple).
  12. IIRC Barnes's record at Celtic isn't actually that bad, bar one rather large blip from a team who's name has just slipped my mind.....
  13. It's a bit ironic I think that the two kinds of players ICT really need right now, are a Terry Butcher and a Maurice Malpas.
  14. And IMO one more centre back.
  15. Was Sammy Oji ever here? Who was Sammy Oji? Has Sammy Oji now left? Will Sammy Oji be signing?
  16. I think some people have forgotten that Odhiambo is mediocre at best when played in the "hole".
  17. It used to be free!
  18. With the first competitive game just a couple of days away, it's time for the first competitive "Team for..." thread of the year. For me, I'm going with a straight 4-4-2 formation (remember that Hayes, Foran and Proctor are out injured) - Esson Tokely---Innes---Munro---McBain Odhiambo---Cox---Duncan---Shinnie Blumenshtein---Rooney Subs - Tuffey, Golabek, McCann, Sutherland, Sanchez
  19. It's a club thing I think. Rory McAllister was number 13 for ICT a few seasons ago, and in the old days of 1-11 and 2 substitutes, most teams had their subs as 12 and 14, bar Celtic I think who had 12 and 13. I have much time for this superstitious nonsense myself.
  20. Tokely as number 3 just seems wrong to me.
  21. Some good goals there Renegade, not sure about the co commentator, so will make it a point to try and find out. Did did you see this one from our captain last season? Only got about 2 and a half million hits this one ;-) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUfEF2u3gqY Aye, quite good. That's some crazy goal music mind!
  22. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M4YT1sZHOR0 0:26 - Perhaps the best mascot ever? And by the way, is that a young boy commentating, or a very butch women?
  23. Is there a more comically named manager in world football than Fleetwood Town's boss Mickey Mellon?
