  1. What's that got to do with it?
  2. I for one am optimistic at this point, that the appointment of Terry Butcher, the most experienced manager to ever be appointed at ICT. Hopefully this marks the end of the heartache and the desperation that came with being an ICT fan, during the era of Craig Brwster and Malky Thompson. A pair that had ICT on the worst run of form ever and a style of play that was uninspiring to say the least. The dream that was started in 1994 was almost destroyed. The flame nearly flippered out and the possibility might have had to have been endured that the ICT glory days were over and ICT would slip away from what they once were. Away from being a team to be feared, a team that was known as giant killers, until just becoming "just another club". Luckily for us there is still hope, and have hope for and an optimistic about the new appiontment of Terry Butcher. I hope I can now say, welcome to a new era of Inverness Caledonian Thistle. This marks this start of what I hope are THE glory days because I truly believe that ICT's best days are not behind them, they are still to come. So today, the work begins again, the team must play as one again, the glory days will begin again and the dream lives on.
  3. I don't see why it is such a big deal. Bruce Arena was manager of the New York/New Jersey Metrostars and the USA team at the same time. Guus Hiddink was manager of PSV Eindhoven and Australia at the same time. So I don't see how being manager of ICT and having a part time job at Scotland (a team that only have a handfull of games a year, some of which are meaningless friendlies), would hurt ICT.
  4. BTW it took an absolute age for ictfc.co.uk to say that Brew had been sacked.
  5. I've just heard on TalkSport that Butcher has been confirmed as boss of ICT.
  6. Interesting point in the Sun article about Robbo and Wilson. The news will come as a hammer blow to former Caley boss Robbo. He was desperate to get back into the game and rejoin the club he managed between 2002 and 2004. The ex-Hearts ace planned to take local legend Barry Wilson with him as his No2.
  7. Won't be Knox then.
  8. IIRC Bobby Mann lived in Dundee and used to travel to Inverness everyday for training so it can be done.
  9. I think you mean the Arbroath CIS Cup game.
  10. I see Colin Calderwood has become manager of the Faroe Islands. No chance of him coming now.

  12. Why would we? It's a TV station, not radio.
  13. ICT are keen on Knox apparently.
  14. P and J I see veteran manager Alex Smith is now interested in the job.
  15. Myself :thumb04: I was going to print a story how Brewster lied to a player (which I witnessed) then spoke the biggest heap of shyte the next day to all the press about it. It's true but could probably cause trouble so I'll save that for another day - PM me and I'll tell you that way! CaleyD and (I think) Immortal Howden Ender know who I am - lets just say I'm an arab with a huge dislike of Brewster and I regret the day he scored the winner in the cup final. United hero/legend my arse :018: Look to the start of the post - kencar guessed the player and game When you say an Arab, does that mean a supporter, or a player? Are you Barry Wilson? (i think he was a big DU fan)
  16. He's someone who'll go into management before too long.
  17. What about the great Peter Schmeichel?
  18. According to Wikipedia, Ozzie appeared in the film Escape to Victory, he also played as number 1 for Argentina and was named J League Manager of the Year for 1998. He was also manger of Croatia Zagreb in the Uefa Champions League.
  19. I've read that there's more than one. Some reckon one of them might be Damon Hill.
  20. Something folk should remember is that ICT have always been a better team when the ball is played on the deck (none of this hoof up the park nonsense). Ossy seems to love attacking football (which a lot of folk say they want to return to) and is big on keeping the ball on the deck. With these credentials, his style could be perfect for ICT.
  21. Why's that then? BTW, in that picture, the girl on the left looks really thriled to be there.

  23. The Caley Thistle fans, via an on-line poll, have made it clear they would like to see John Robertson to take the job alongside club legend Barry Wilson. Taken from the Daily Express article on Butcher. I wouldn't say it was clear. Right now Butcher's the lead by three votes.
  24. I have a strange feeling just now, that the next manager of ICT is not a candidate who has been mentioed yet. That's what I reckon anyway.
