  2. Who do you want and think will win the upcoming USA election? I hope that eejit McCain doesn't get in and his thick-as-a-brick running mate Palin. My other big worry though is that if Obama gets in, he wont't last long long because of obvious reasons. Obama or Nader for me, though I thing Obama will get in.
  3. Munro should never have been an essential signature for ICT. As it has been said, he's local and unlikely to move anywhere else. Munro's an interesting player. I never really used to rate him that highly. I didn't think he was terrible, I just thought he was alright. My view changed towards the end of last season when he out injured and it could clearly be seen how much he was missed. Glad we got him now.

The answer is very simple in the gaelic debate. The answer is that the majority of folk in Scotland couldn't give two hoots about gaelic, if they did it wouldn't be in the state its in. The gaelic gang would like to believe that we all care so deeply about it and that it is jule in Scotland's crown. It aint, if anything its just mud on it's shoes. This channel and all the other gaelic garbage the government are throwing money at won't make the blindest bit of difference and is just ridiculous in the current climate of the world. People dying in Africa from easily preventable diseases, global recession, one in four kids in Scotland living in poverty. Nah, none of these are better to spend money on to try an stop than that good, old, soon to be dead if it aint already gaelic.
  5. If Barrowman and Proctor are out, I'd go for this: ------------------------------Fraser-------------------------------- -----------Duff---------------Munro--------------Hastings---------- ---Tokely------Cowie---------Black--------Vigurs----------Wilson--- ------------------Rooney-------------Imrie------------------------- Subs: Esson, McBain, Duncan, Zander, Djebi-Zadi, Wood, Brewster/McAllister
  6. Sad news. Seemed like a nice bloke.
  7. Had trials with some French club apparently. http://www.ghanasoccernet.com/index.php?op...6&Itemid=34 Says he also had a trial at Man U.
  8. Sure is.
  9. Get someone who can do all three: Kevin Muscat. Bringing in old Craig Moore could be pretty good too though bringing in both might be a bit expensive. I'd settle for bringing back big Bobby though.
  10. That's not what Mee meant at all. First and foremost, she means that if she had to choose a game to go to she'd go to Hibs/Killie because these two and ICT are always pretty evenly matched thus creating a more entertaining game. How do you know a result like the ones you've mentioned before you enter the game? Most ICT vs OF games end in a convincing OF win with ICT playing secong best for an hour and a half. If I had the choice to view a game of ICT vs OF or ICT vs Hibs, I'd choice the latter any day of the week.
  11. Someone should put Dodds's score into the Prediction League and see where he comes up against everyone else.
  12. ICT'll probably lose by a fair amount anyway. Unfortunately this is probably true but this formation was used by Argentina in the last World Cup. Of course Brew will never dream of putting a formation like this out and will probably stick with the boring old 4-4-2 or 4-5-1. Time to be more progressive, formation wise I reckon.
  13. And Ivan Zamorano wore 1+8 for Inter Milan.
  14. ---------------------------------Fraser--------------------------------- --------Proctor*---------------Munro--------------Hastings---------- --------Tokely-----------------Black--------------Djebi-Zadi--------- --------Wilson-----------------Cowie----------------Imrie------------ -----------------------------Barrowman------------------------------- Subs - Esson, Duff*, Vigurs, Rooney, Duncan, McBain, Brewster * - Duff is put in at right centre back if Proctor is still injured. If he still is Zander Sutherland or Phil McGuire is placed on the bench. Fraser in goal, for now. Last season in the 3-2 win, Proctor did a great job in keeping up with McGeady and at the Rangers game in January, Burke was having a tough time with crosses in the first half and wasn't able to start until he came up against Hastings in the second half. By put both Proctor an Tokely in these positions, the would-be Celtic crosser would have a hard time. This is the same on the left where possibly McGeady or Robson would have a hard time getting crosses into the box when coming up against Hastings and Djebi-Zadi. Munro would be place at centre back. The midfield, Tokely played very well against Aberdeen last season when in this position and by putting him here he can also make runs forward and can come back and defend. Black in the centre of the midfield and Djebi-Zadi at the left wing. He, like Tokely can be used to go forward and come back and defend if necessary. Tokely seems to play better with Wilson infront of him so he is placed at right attacking wing. Cowie is placed just behind the striker and Imrie is at left attacking wing. Barrowman is placed up-front. I know, Brewster won't put himself on the bench but he'd be perfect in the game to go into attack mode at towards the end of the game. With the 3-3-3-1, it can interchanged to 5-4-1 when defending with Tokely and Djebi-Zadi going as left and right backs. It can also be used to crowd the midfield in a 3-6-1 style and it can also be used as a 3-3-4 when attacking with Cowie, Wilson and Imrie peeling off to join Barrowman up-front. This would be the best way to get in about Celtic.
  15. Not much, but I'd rather they went back to 1-11. It's so much easier to understand.
  16. I see Derek Riordan is playing for Hibs as number 01 now. This whole number thing has gone too far, especially with teams in America now using number 0.
  17. ---------------------------------Fraser----------------------------- ----------Duff-------------------Munro----------------Hastings----- ---------Tokely------------------McBain----------------Vigurs------ ---------Wilson-------------------Black-----------------Imrie------- --------------------------------Barrowman------------------------- Subs: Esson, Rooney, Cowie, Duncan, Djebi-Zadi, Wood, Zander
  18. 1. A Sort of Homecoming 2. Miracle Drug 3. Mercy 4. One 5. Stay (Faraway, so Close!) There's what I think are the best U2 songs though not all are particularly well known. A few others could be stuck in there too such as Van Dieman's Land, If God Would Send His Angels, Acrobat and Angel of Harlem. Maybe a top 20 would've been better.
  19. ---------------------------------Fraser-------------------------------------------- ---------Proctor-----------------Munro---------------Hastings--------------------- ---------------------------------McBain------------------------------------------- ---Tokely----------------------------------------------------------------Cowie---- ---------------------------------Black--------------------------------------------- --------------Wilson-----------Barrowman----------Imrie--------------------------- Subs: Esson, Vigurs, Duff, Rooney, Zander, Djebi-Zadi, Duncan A nice attacking formation from the start with the possibilty to switch to a 3-6-1 formation and packing the midfield should it need to be done.
  20. I'm well cheesed off at Celtic right now and ICT for that matter. All the other SPL should put there foot down but no they going along with it like a flock of sheep. The ticket prices for these games is ridiculous anyway and the fact the put the prices up for these games just shows that ICT care more about the money than anything else. The OF games are always the ones where ICT need the most support so if anything they should be lowering the prices of these games. Shame on ICT for doing this.
  21. A tactic that used to be quite intersting to watch at ICT used to be when Tokely and Hastings used to go to the wing together and teeing each other up on crosses to swing the ball into the box. It used to work quite well and made ICT far more dangerous from crosses. This seemed to continue up until when CC took control. Did this really happen, or was it just an ICT-related dream I had? They should do it again, and if it was a dream they should do it for real.
  22. I wouldn't put Tokely if the team if I didn't think he was good enough and if played further up the pitch he would be very much good enough. If you want to find a defender that became a striker look no further that Craig Brewster as well as Chris Sutton, so it can be done. And even if Tokely was played in the position I put him in, it wouldn't be alien to him. He plays there most of the time anyway.
  23. Tokely's performance at right wing against Aberdeen was fantastic, though even though he can be a good player, he's too slow to be making these runs up the field from the defence. When he is upfront, his height makes him pretty dangerous at time, something ICT are really lacking at this point in time. Proctor is a far better option at right back though he can also change to be a right winger, and Brew should look at Tokely as being interchangeable too. Another good option might be this: -----------Proctor------------Munro-----------Hastings-------------- --Cowie-----------McBain------------Black------------------Imrie---- ---------------------------Tokely---------------------------------- --------------Barrowman-------------Rooney----------------------- By the use of this formation, Tokely still has his attacking edge that he has when he goes forward but wouldn't get as puffed out having to constantly run back to the defence and he can use his height to possibly knock the ball onto the strikers infront of him and for headers from crosses during a counter attack. This formation could also give him a freer roam of the pitch, something that could benefit both his play and ICT.
  24. Johnathon Smith could be another one. Third choice keeper in 06/07, no appearances though only a couple on the bench. Went to Clach after Ridgers came in. Don't know what happened to him after that though.
  25. Just thinking about players who ICT signed up to the first team but never played. Steven Watt is an obvious example. Played one game and on the bench a couple of times but seldomly seen all season. Ally Ridgers is another one. Two spells at ICT, hardly ever played, if ever. Tom Parrat might be another one, as is Ally MacDonald who seems to have disappeared this season and that fourth unknown keeper on the 06/07 season line up poster. Does anyone know of any more?
