  3. What ICT need is a return to the good old attacking football seen under he likes of Steve Paterson. Going back to a previous manager probably aint a good idea, nor is someone who has just reired as a player. It's time ICT got a manager who knows exactly what to do formation-wise, transfer-wise and plays a high class of attacking football, which will dwarf any previous managers attempt at doing this. It's time again for some new ideas, it's time for Ernie Merrick.

  5. Will Brew be manager of ICT this time next year?
  6. I don't rate Fraser as much as I did and think that Esson would be a better option. I'd also consider this option: ---------------------------------------Esson----------------------------------------- -------------Proctor-------Duff-----------------Munro--------Hastings------------ ---------------------------------------Vigurs---------------------------------------- -------------Cowie---------------------------------------------Imrie--------------- -------------------------------------Djebi-Zadi------------------------------------- -------------------------Barrowman-----------Rooney---------------------------- Yes that's right, Lionel Djebi-Zadi just behind the front two. Lets face it. At left back he's pretty rubbish but there was a moment in Monday's reserve reserve game where he made a couple of attacking runs down the centre of the park and Celtic counldn't catch him or get the ball off him until some bloke pounded into him. As I said before, at the back he aint great but going forward he can be quite dangerous. And on top of that he's big and pretty quick. Play him just behind the front two and this could be a recipe for success.

  8. The board have to ask themselves a question here: do they A stick with and almost certainly get relegated or B get rid and bring someone else in with the possibility of staying up. Having to watch another long ball extravaganza on Saturday I reckon most would take B any day. Brew as a manager is a good as an old wet carrot. He is to football management what Sarah Palin is to golf. Nowt. Only ICT would be daft enough to take him back after the Dundee United disaster. Saturday proved to me how useless he is. He keeps on Wood who was a much good as two planks of wood, he takes off Rooney, someone who'd been playing quite well and who does he put on? The great goal scorer himself Roy McBain even after Motherwell go 2-1 up. Joke tactics by a joke manager. It looks increasingly likely ICT will be relegated this season and it is mainly Brewster and his tactics's fault. He's got to go.

  10. Who do you want and think will win the upcoming USA election? I hope that eejit McCain doesn't get in and his thick-as-a-brick running mate Palin. My other big worry though is that if Obama gets in, he wont't last long long because of obvious reasons. Obama or Nader for me, though I thing Obama will get in.
  11. Munro should never have been an essential signature for ICT. As it has been said, he's local and unlikely to move anywhere else. Munro's an interesting player. I never really used to rate him that highly. I didn't think he was terrible, I just thought he was alright. My view changed towards the end of last season when he out injured and it could clearly be seen how much he was missed. Glad we got him now.

The answer is very simple in the gaelic debate. The answer is that the majority of folk in Scotland couldn't give two hoots about gaelic, if they did it wouldn't be in the state its in. The gaelic gang would like to believe that we all care so deeply about it and that it is jule in Scotland's crown. It aint, if anything its just mud on it's shoes. This channel and all the other gaelic garbage the government are throwing money at won't make the blindest bit of difference and is just ridiculous in the current climate of the world. People dying in Africa from easily preventable diseases, global recession, one in four kids in Scotland living in poverty. Nah, none of these are better to spend money on to try an stop than that good, old, soon to be dead if it aint already gaelic.
  13. If Barrowman and Proctor are out, I'd go for this: ------------------------------Fraser-------------------------------- -----------Duff---------------Munro--------------Hastings---------- ---Tokely------Cowie---------Black--------Vigurs----------Wilson--- ------------------Rooney-------------Imrie------------------------- Subs: Esson, McBain, Duncan, Zander, Djebi-Zadi, Wood, Brewster/McAllister
  14. Had trials with some French club apparently. http://www.ghanasoccernet.com/index.php?op...6&Itemid=34 Says he also had a trial at Man U.
  15. Get someone who can do all three: Kevin Muscat. Bringing in old Craig Moore could be pretty good too though bringing in both might be a bit expensive. I'd settle for bringing back big Bobby though.
  16. That's not what Mee meant at all. First and foremost, she means that if she had to choose a game to go to she'd go to Hibs/Killie because these two and ICT are always pretty evenly matched thus creating a more entertaining game. How do you know a result like the ones you've mentioned before you enter the game? Most ICT vs OF games end in a convincing OF win with ICT playing secong best for an hour and a half. If I had the choice to view a game of ICT vs OF or ICT vs Hibs, I'd choice the latter any day of the week.
  17. Someone should put Dodds's score into the Prediction League and see where he comes up against everyone else.
  18. ICT'll probably lose by a fair amount anyway. Unfortunately this is probably true but this formation was used by Argentina in the last World Cup. Of course Brew will never dream of putting a formation like this out and will probably stick with the boring old 4-4-2 or 4-5-1. Time to be more progressive, formation wise I reckon.
  19. And Ivan Zamorano wore 1+8 for Inter Milan.
  20. ---------------------------------Fraser--------------------------------- --------Proctor*---------------Munro--------------Hastings---------- --------Tokely-----------------Black--------------Djebi-Zadi--------- --------Wilson-----------------Cowie----------------Imrie------------ -----------------------------Barrowman------------------------------- Subs - Esson, Duff*, Vigurs, Rooney, Duncan, McBain, Brewster * - Duff is put in at right centre back if Proctor is still injured. If he still is Zander Sutherland or Phil McGuire is placed on the bench. Fraser in goal, for now. Last season in the 3-2 win, Proctor did a great job in keeping up with McGeady and at the Rangers game in January, Burke was having a tough time with crosses in the first half and wasn't able to start until he came up against Hastings in the second half. By put both Proctor an Tokely in these positions, the would-be Celtic crosser would have a hard time. This is the same on the left where possibly McGeady or Robson would have a hard time getting crosses into the box when coming up against Hastings and Djebi-Zadi. Munro would be place at centre back. The midfield, Tokely played very well against Aberdeen last season when in this position and by putting him here he can also make runs forward and can come back and defend. Black in the centre of the midfield and Djebi-Zadi at the left wing. He, like Tokely can be used to go forward and come back and defend if necessary. Tokely seems to play better with Wilson infront of him so he is placed at right attacking wing. Cowie is placed just behind the striker and Imrie is at left attacking wing. Barrowman is placed up-front. I know, Brewster won't put himself on the bench but he'd be perfect in the game to go into attack mode at towards the end of the game. With the 3-3-3-1, it can interchanged to 5-4-1 when defending with Tokely and Djebi-Zadi going as left and right backs. It can also be used to crowd the midfield in a 3-6-1 style and it can also be used as a 3-3-4 when attacking with Cowie, Wilson and Imrie peeling off to join Barrowman up-front. This would be the best way to get in about Celtic.
  21. Not much, but I'd rather they went back to 1-11. It's so much easier to understand.
  22. I see Derek Riordan is playing for Hibs as number 01 now. This whole number thing has gone too far, especially with teams in America now using number 0.
  23. ---------------------------------Fraser----------------------------- ----------Duff-------------------Munro----------------Hastings----- ---------Tokely------------------McBain----------------Vigurs------ ---------Wilson-------------------Black-----------------Imrie------- --------------------------------Barrowman------------------------- Subs: Esson, Rooney, Cowie, Duncan, Djebi-Zadi, Wood, Zander
