  1. Trips to Palmerston, Perth etc, were fine when we were on the way up.... not so much fun on the way down, hanging around some wet windswept hole with two men and a dug for company... Call me a snob if you like, but give me the sophistication of the SPL anytime...

I actually dreamed last night that we beat Rangers 2-1... The only problem with my dream was that John Rankin scored both goals!! But still... Blackie's fully fit and raring to go... Cowie is anxious to show his potential new employers just how good he is, and there will be several others aware they are in the shop window this afternoon. We all know what our guys are capable of on their day... It's time they showed us again just how good they can be... C'mon guys go for it.... Make Johnboy rich... You can do it... The only problem of course is - if they do win, you know who'll try and claim the credit for it.
  3. Loyalty and/or duty shouldn't come into it.... For supporters planning to attend all, or most home games the season ticket represents good value for money... There are just as many fans who, for various reasons can't always attend at weekends, and paying as you go is their only option. It doesn't make them any less loyal... Question 2 (which is related to the topic) Those employed by the club, or who have money invested in it, must continually take cognizance of the team's permormance and league position. They know, or at least they [i]should know that failure to remain within the SPL is just not an option and that difficult decisions to bring about changes will have to be made. Unfortunately they (the board) are in a difficult situation - If they do sack the management team they will be accused of caving in to the demands of the supporters. If they attempt to prop up them up by providing more cash to dabble in the tranfer market and fail, there would be serious implications for the long term future of the club - a downward slide would be inevitable.
  4. Maybe we'll get an atmosphere like that when we come to play our last game at the TCS....
  5. With Celtic looking likely winners against Dundee Utd, Rangers will be very anxious not to lose further ground tomorrow.
  6. You mean if we get past Thistle..?
  7. I kind of agree as well Chris. Defeats against Rangers aren't getting the fans upset. It is lifeless performances against the likes of Hamilton, St. Mirren, Falkirk etc. that are getting to the support. Against Rangers everyone should accept the likely outcome - a defeat. The pressure will be on for the Partick game however so I think we should forget about tomorrows game (I already have) and look to the next game we should be looking to win. Seems Mr. Linton has taken almost his entire article by reproducing information taken from this website. Is this not a form of plagiarism? Maybe it's a form of masochism!!
  8. Yeah... Well done Baz... Amazing what a wee bit of encouragement does for yer confidence.....
  9. I agree.... although I'd be equally happy with Donald as his Number 2. Robbo also appears to be settled and enjoys living in this area, which would be an added bonus...

I'm not trying to push him... I really enjoyed and appreciated his contribution... I hope we will hear more from him... whenever...

That would be the best possible appointment as far as I'm concerned... but why the end of the season before the re-appointment of Donald? Robbo hasn't been on the site for a few days now.... Has he been gagged? I would hope he has seen the error of his ways. To me it was completely out of order coming on this site when the manager was under pressure. In my opinion both Robbo and Brewster both achieved with Pele's squad and both were found wanting without them. Even if you agree or disagree with Strathman as to Robbo coming on here was a good idea, I would be very surprised if he was gagged and if he was by who?? So why has he suddenly gone very quiet?
  12. I'd take a home win. Yes me 2 I've got money on it....
  13. You really think Pressley will seriously consider coming up here? As opposed to going somewhere like Falkirk!!
  14. Why do you think we're bottom of the league CB'sB&R Army?

I suspect, if he has been approached, he would be more inclined to make a move up here if Robbo, rather than Brewster was in charge of the team...

So... Are we expected to believe that Brewster's offered Elvis a coaching role with this offer?? That's if there ever was an offer...
  18. As a footnote to that article Graham Linton, as per usual, adds a selection of comments (fan mail) pinched taken from CTO. Three comments appear this week.... Not one of them is suggesting it's time for Brew to go..!! Do you really think these represent a fair cross section of the fans comments on this site, Mr. Linton?
  19. This is a badly thought out and ludicrous article... What Linton is saying regarding compensation is that : There is no obvious name in the frame to replace Brewster so the board would have to go down the road of paying compensation to get a manager from another club, and that would be costly... No obvious name in the frame? Most of us can think of at least one....
  20. Johnboy replied to Naelifts's topic in Caley Thistle
Don't think that's quite what Brewster has in mind....

  22. I spent half an hour on that trying to figure out how to cast my vote.... Brilliant site... NOT. :thumb04:
  23. No, that was Brewster.... He's probably been up all night making up fake email addresses...
  24. Loadda crap.... Frank MacAvennie's wasn't even funny when they started doing him about 20 years ago...
