  1. I agree the current set up is badly in need of change but unfortunately there are too many in the central belt that will be very happy to see the back of us....
  2. Agreed.. Especially if there is to be no change in direction from the board with regards to team management...
  3. Presumably as the club's largest shareholder, David Sutherland will have been invited, and will be intending to grace this meeting with his presence?
  4. Won the SPL title 2007/8... Named SPL Manager of the year... Got Rangers to the final of the UEFA Cup... (First European final for 36 years) I don't know many Rangers fans that think Smith returning to Ibrox was a mistake..
  5. Yeah.... but apart from that......
  6. Like many on this thread, I don't think Robbo is the saviour that he is painted as by many fans. If we have learnt anything from the Brewster debacle, it is that you should never go back in fottball. A new manager should have been appointed at the time instead of Brewster and a fresh face is needed now to change things. Don't recall the team playing silky attractive football with Robbo in charge anymore than they have done with Brewster. Robbo is not the man for the job in my opinion. Walter Smith went back to Ibrox.....
  7. The nucleous of the players that lined up on Sunday are easily good enough for the SPL... It wouldn't take much to get them into a winning mindset again... lack of motivation would appear to me, to be a big part of the problem.

Interesting article... A pity that the offer to Steven Pressley was not one of player/manager.... If it had been I'm sure he would have considered it.
  9. Is this CTO's answer to crimewatch? I'm sure I've seen thugboy on the left hanging furtively around the Innes Bar trying to bum drinks off people... :o
  10. Mushroom management perhaps?
  11. The games against the OF are great for the supporters, but any points taken from them should be regarded as a bonus... The games against the Hamiltons, the Falkirks the St Mirrens are the ones that really matter, and it's what we have taken from them so far this season that has got us into the position we are in.. Surely the board will have the gumption to make a decision if we can't take all 3 points at Hamilton on the 17th?
  12. didnt say that ...... said This is the post I was referring to Scotty :
  13. Quote from CaleyD... Getting round to my point....it's not just the "groundswell" of vocal support for Brewsters Sacking that needs to be considered here, and just because someone isn't screaming their lungs out in defiance of Brewster at the football doesn't mean they think he should be retained. These "quieter" people are actually speaking louder than anyone right now, it's just that those running the club aren't listening.....these are the fans who are staying away, the fans who took up the 4500+ tickets at this point last season which haven't been sold this season. The club are fools if they consider the silent fans as being the ones who are backing them as these will be the fans who are hardest to win back in the long run. It's a very weak business that doesn't know, understand or ignores it's customer base. If the club, or anyone, seriously thinks there's not a majority backing among the fans for change then I fear the worst, because not only are they incomeptent, they are totally naive and certainly not fit to be running our club. I'm getting to the point now where I fear it is too late to turn things around through any structured means and that our survival is in the lap of the gods. Not only do we need to remove Brewster, we need to appoint the right replacement and they need time to strengthen in the Transfer Window. It's at the point where the current board are proving have proved that they aren't fit to be running our club and we should be looking to replace them as well as the Management team. That is excellent, CD... Can I print it out and send it to our alleged chairman - who I believe should be returning from his holidays soon?
  14. I think we would all like to get back to that state of affairs rather than the talk of battle plans which inevitably includes "collateral damage" somewhere along the way ! But Scotty.... Not so long ago you were in agreement with me that the present management team should be dismissed, and that John Robertson could be installed as a caretaker manager until the end of the season, when the whole picture could be reviewed... I take it you no longer share that view? Unfortunately it appears that considerable pressure is going to have to be brought on the board to make changes, as there appears to be a reluctance on their behalf to acknowledge there is a problem here. Hence talk of battle plans which may well involve "collateral damage" somewhere along the way... I'd further add that the longer we debate this issue, the fate of our beloved football team becomes more and more certain.
  15. I say let's get a responsible management team in place, then talk about contracts....
  16. My first thought on that is that lots of supporters just want to go to a game on a Saturday afternoon, and cheer on their favourites and boo anyone else... Many are reluctant to get involved in all the politics that goes on behind the scenes.. I'm dissapointed that there is not a more united front, or a more concerted campaign, determined that urgent action is required NOW if ICT is to avoid dropping into Div1. I'm hopeful that the Supporters Trust meeting on Wednesday will arrive at some kind of a conclusion - and that some kind of a battle plan will be drawn up. I'm a wee bit worried all the same that tonight they are having a meeting tonight to discuss Wednesday's meeting... But still, it's all we've got and I hope every discontented supporter in Inverness will make their presence felt at the Wednesday meeting.
  17. Absolutely right.... That's why it's vital that Brewster should go right now, and someone with experience and proven motivational skills is appointed straight away... even if just till the end of the season, when the post can be advertised and the best possible long term appointment can be made.
  18. We'll land in Div3 unless the board take off their blindfolds and install a new management team... I dont think a new management team would have enough time to turn things around this season , we're too small a squad as it is with very little experience . I'm afraid we're doomed . You sound like Sgt Fraser on Dad's Army!! No... I disagree with you... If they were to appoint the right person within the next week or so, it would give the players such a badly needed lift, which would soon see them beat the likes of Hamilton, Falkirk etc..
  19. We'll land in Div3 unless the board take off their blindfolds and install a new management team...
  20. Div1 even if only for a season? Where do you see us going after that? That reminds me of an old Tommy Docherty quote many years ago, after he'd been sacked by Wolves.... "I don't know why they (the board) are so upset" "I promised them, when I took the job on I'd get them out of Div2"
  21. Ah wouldn't put a lot of money on that...
  22. They just might give Brewster's position serious consideration if the attendance figures are way, way down for next week's cup-tie with Partick Thistle...
  23. The cross from McBayne and the header from Vigurs should have had us 1 up. McGregor got lucky with that one...
  24. Johnboy replied to Johnboy's topic in Caley Thistle
Get Imrie on for Duncan, who's having a stinker, and they could still do it... Rangers are effing crap... C'mon Caley.... Make Johnboy rich....
