  1. Or Esson? Or Vigurs?
  2. I can recollect the case of a guy who worked in a bonded whisky warehouse in Glasgow, who "accidently" managed to get himself locked in the building overnight. He was wheeled out on a trolley next morning, singing and gurgling contentedly to himself. Later on that day, he discovered someone had kindly and thoughtfully stapled his P45 to his jacket lapel!

  4. Stirling Albion (if they still exist)

  6. Murray I was going to post a youtube link to the comic genius that was Chick Murray... Couldn't find anything much, but I did come across another comic genius :

  8. Yeah.... And for a government minister the basic salary rises to 144K... and they're are the ones that were really screwing the system... At least Brown's now made a start on clearing out some of these ghastly inadequates like Hazel Blears, Jacquie Smith, Tony McNulty, etc, etc... Just how awful is that Hazel Blears? 4ft nothing with a head that bobs from side to side all the time, and that irritating self satisfied smile/smirk... Like a budgie high on cocaine.
  9. I never new Anton Rogan, was a dependable and popular Irish full-back... I knew he was Irish.
  10. The SPL has pledged to pay 3 million to the SPL clubs, with or without the money due from Setanta.. See here.
  11. Off Topic? You always manage to get me on some kind of a technicality!
  12. However much are you earning AF? Are you seriously suggesting MPs aren't paid enough? Government Ministers are paid a basic salary of 144K - many of these have second jobs and others agree to their names being used on company letterheads - so called non-executive directors - for which the going rate is around 20K a year. They are paid handsomely! Why then have so many claimed ludicrous additional payments - expenses for mortgages for (alleged) second homes, even when they have been paid off? It's deception, it's utter greed, it's an obscenity. Some of these people should be barred from ever holding public office again, and be made to face criminal proceedings for theft from the public purse.
  13. I have to say I'm fed up with repeated calls for an election when there absolutely no one, or credible alternative party worth voting for. I hope Brown toughs it out and introduces sweeping changes to the expenses system. If he can achieve that at least he will leave his party - and government - in a cleaner, healthier state than is presently the case.
  14. Do you really believe that playing in Div1 under TB is a preferable option to playing under John Hughes in the SPL? Thats really two questions in one ..... Playing in Div 1 as opposed to the SPL should not be preferable for any player. However ........... playing for TB, the man who discovered him while at Motherwell and brought him to Inverness and got decent performances out of him in both places may be preferable to playing for Yogi in Falkirk. What if Falkirk get relegated next season? ... they almost did this year. What if he doesnt respond to Yogi's style? What about the ICT curse? Its a gamble and the answer will depend on a couple of factors I would have thought .... #1 is money. If he is motivated by that then he will be offski, no doubt. #2 is how much loyalty he has to TB and how well TB can make the case for how he sees next season going. If Butcher is setting the bar at going straight back up then maybe he will stay, but if the bar is set that we want a top half finish and be back up within two or three years then I would not blame him for looking elsewhere. I saw the last game of the season as a battle of wits between TB and Yogi... There wasn't much doubt as to who the winner was!

  16. And St Johnstone are interested in signing Deuchar...

    Cis Cup

Tricky one this.... Annan beat the pride of Fife, Cowdenbeath, 4-1 away last August... Rangers away, would have been a better draw!
  18. It's not looking good at all... the latest I'm hearing now is that Richie Foran is having talks with Falkirk... The side that lines up for the first game of the new season will bear little resemblence to the side that lined up against Falkirk... To get ICT back on track it's beginning to look as if a complete rebuild will be required. I'm far from convinced that TB and his legacy will provide a sufficient incentive to attract a host of quality players to Inverness. There a quite a few well established sides in that SFL....coming straight back up again is a long way from being a foregone conclusion. I'm worried....

  21. It is a great shame.... and it could backfire on ICT in a big way. :allhail:
  22. That'll make for an interesting 1st derby.... Gotta a strange feeling both Brewster and Iain Vigurs will be out to impress! Seriously.. I wish Iain best of luck for the future.
