It's not all so gloom and doom. 13 members of the Iceland squad were 'full' internationals, taken out of the first team's squad for their match against Portugal to face ourselves.

What a great result. Well and truly made my weekend along with a gig tomorrow night. Sounds like the lads worked hard today - congratulations to them, Terry and Maurice. What a great attendance too, nothing was wrong about today - nothing! Hope everyone enjoys the result, doesn't get too much more satisfying than this on a weekly basis.

I would've said we were officially an SPL side after the SPL card finished. I think the bbc site and others take ages to update, which I did not complain about this time last year!

I'd certainly be up for the Skye leg of the walk and the whole thing depending on how work pans out. It's such a good idea, and fitting tribute to a man who achieved some amazing goals.

I go to school with the boy's brother and couldn't believe what happened, and feel horrible for the family, especially considering the circumstances.
