  1. Hugely disappointed by Draper's departure.  The Board need to now demonstrate that we really are going to have a genuine promotion chasing squad by giving Robertson the funds get some quality signings in the August window,

  2. DU were very fortunate to come away with 3 points.  The penalty looked very soft and I thought we hand a stone-waller when Draper went down in the box.  It will be interesting to see be both incidents on tv.

Overall I thought we had a good first half with Calder playing some good stuff.

Polworth, who I rate, really has to start imposing himself in games.  He has the talent but IS NOT SHOWING IT AND HAS TO IMPROVE.

It's simple fan power whether verbally or on social media made the board change their mindset and every fan who contributed by stalling buying tickets should take a bow

Hopefully now the present board will at least think before they act in the future

Im sure the club will honour the paltry few who had already bought their season ticket before the change of heart with the discounted refund

Caley 100, Huisdean etc no need to thank me

    Dougal

Please enlighten us Dougal, will you now be buying a season ticket?

I sooo wish there was some evidence of your last point Scotty....The lack of any communication since KC left is quite frankly shocking! Oh except when they want money..

There is a lack of evidence of Board activity but I do hear that there is good things going on in the background and hopefully this will start to become clearer in the next few weeks.

Dougal, you are such a feckin peni5.

I will be buying a season tkt, and what would be the point in taking 20 or 25 quid off the price?   would that get another 250-300 buying season tkts? no!

A fan has loyalty to the club (not you) and giving them support by buying a season tkt will help, We don not have a Roy Macgregor who can write off a million quid every year.

Negative **** brains are not required, the board have sorted out one problem, give them a chance to move forward.

Well said Caley 100.  By buying our season tickets we show our support whilst Dougal just snipes away on the sidelines with nothing positive, as usual, to say or contribute.

  6. Yes the season ticket is more than I was expecting but I will be renewing it and I urge everybody who can to renew also.  The club needs us more than ever at this point.  The new Chairman and Board have made a tough but correct decision with Richie Foran and they must now get it right with the new manager but in the meantime we as fans must give them the benefit of the doubt and show out unity and support by buying season tickets and showing our support in anyway we can.

Astonishing that season ticket prices have been frozen but it possibly backs up the rumours regarding the financial state the club are possibly facing due to relegation

14 miles north you can watch your Celtic,Rangers,Aberdeens etc for £200 but we  pay over £330 to see Brechin City

Theres something far wrong, only an utter moron would buy a season ticket at the moment at that sort of cost without knowing who the manager and the playing staff were

Yes you'll be pleased that your County season ticket is cheaper this year.

Despite how it ended, we have a very great deal to be thankful to Kenny Cameron and, before him, David Sutherland for. Prior to those with Tulloch connections taking the helm, the previous regime under Doug McGillvray had almost run us into oblivion.

We were over two and a half million pounds in debt, the bank had pulled the plug and had it not been for our famous cup win at Parkhead and the money from the two subsequent TV games against the Dons we would have entered administration at the very best or, at worst, been liquidated.

Instead, under first Sutherland and then Kenny, we became a debt free established top tier club no strangers to national cup finals and still the only team north of Aberdeen to win the major cup tournament in the country. Yes, mistakes were made this season and probably last and, no doubt, with the benefit of hindsight, he would have done things differently but for that wonderful, unforgettable afternoon at Hampden alone he deserves our thanks and good wishes.

The immediate future might be a difficult one but were it not for David Sutherland and Kenny Cameron there might not have been  a future at all.

I fully agree with your comments about Kenny and David Sutherland but you're a tad unfair about Doug MacGilivray.  Without his immense determination and drive to get us up the leagues I very much doubt we would have got into the spl withing 10 years.  Yes the debt almost put us over the edge but remember that a sizeable chunk of the debt was down to the ridiculous and excessive Council planning requirements such as the road etc.

  9. Foran has to go and we must appoint a manager with proven experience who will be able put together a squad capable and ready from the first game to make a concerted challenge for the league.  Ritchie was a hero of mine as a player but he should never have been appointed as manager and I don't have any confidence that things would improve next season under his control.

some very informative posts from cif73 here, confirming my deepest fears. What this means is a fire sale of players at the end of the season (or more accurately, expensive players will be asked to trigger clauses or to leave "by mutual consent" (i.e. For free) to keep the club afloat financially. With many of the U20s punted too, we're going to have to put together a team from nothing and on the cheap. Virtually impossible without a decent scouting system. Added to this, there will need to be a contingency in place for the likely scenario of not returning to the prem at the first attempt - that has to be part-time football to match other teams with a support as small as ours.

Did the club sleep-walk into this? Was there so much arrogance at board and management level that we'd finish in the top six? It seems so! I really think Foran's insistence that we were going to finish in the top 6, even when we all could see that avoiding relegation was the real issue, was because he had convinced the board at the outset that we'd finish in the top 6. All the projections will have been worked out on that assumption, which means we'll be hundreds of thousands short for next year before poor ST sales are taken into account. Utterly deluded, the whole lot of them and the football club is set to have some very dark days.

I would be astonished if the Board budgeted for a top six finish.  They have previously always made prudent budget forecasts and I don't think season will be any different.  Happy to be proved wrong if you have anything solid to back up your assumption.

  11. The club does not have an overdraft so there is no pressure coming from the bank.  I am sure there will be a sizeable loss this season which will cause the Board some problems  but I don't think we are any way near going into adiministration.
