I would take the ugliest hard fought point right now.

Technically he left by mutual consent, as did Hughes, but you could easily argue the semantics of either situation.
Scotty, trust me he was sacked.

- John Hughes wasnt sacked. He engineered his own way out after his working relationship with the chairman broke down. Not sure anyone but the chairman and JH and maybe a few others know the exact ins and outs of this but Craig Brewster remains the only manager we have sacked.
Not quite right, Baltacha was also sacked.

Think today was a reality check. Yes we have played some good stuff in the cup but it was against lower league teams. For the County game Draper must start the game for him to boss the midfield as he always does against County.

A big big mistake if this was to happen. We need an experienced dynamic manager who will be able to get the best out of a small squad; and hit the ground running from the first game of the season - not asking much ehhhh.

I'll be renewing. I'll support the club first and foremost, regardless of stupid managerial decisions.
Well said. I will be renewing and urge everybody to do so

I heard at the game yesterday that Yogi's been told his playing budget for next season, is £80,000 lower than the one for this season.
I heard the opposite - his budget is to be increased from last year.

That's not what the Dee's fans down here are saying -£3000 per week which I believe will be double what we can offer
If they're paying that sort of money, then Administration will be knocking on the door again.

Would have been happy had Williams stayed. As for Vincent, he is a quality player but the club just cannot afford to have a player who misses large parts of the each season through injury. It will be interesting to see how often he is injury free for Dundee.

Superb win with I think the best 90 mins performance all season. Every player played their part and in particular Storey, Draper and Warren has excellent games. Devine was also had a solid performance and made no mistakes - well done.
A special mention to the fans who came out in force and gave the team tremendous backing.

Devine has to learn fast from the crucial mistakes he made last night and from a few others this season. Goals change games and I thought the we were doing ok in first half up to the Divine interventions. After that point it was always going to be extremely hard to get back into the game due to our lack of goal threat.
I was a bit surprised with some of the team selections, in regard to Storey is he not carrying a bit of an injury hence the reason for not starting the match.
Gutted that we are out of the cup but we now have a cup final on Saturday and the manager and team must get this right. We can not keep gifting teams goals and games.

If you followed Caley to Perth in the Scottish Cup you would have a comparison
Yes I was there that fantastic night but the only comparison you can make is that there is a support in Inverness that will come out when the occasion grabs them. There were of course many Caley fans there that night but equally many who came were there to support their local side for the night.

So at this moment in time we are the 2nd highest ranked team by league position, but the 2nd lowest by player wage bill.
Cup holders too, just in case anyone has forgotten.

I recall someone used to write into the papers proposing the name Inverness Castle. The merger did result in some weird and wonderful suggestions.

Just for the record, the Annual Return filed at Companies House this week confirms that it was indeed the Scotlog/Catto shares that were transferred to the Highland Hospice.
I refer you to my post dated 17 Jan

I am a Vincent fan but he does appear to be prone to injuries.

To be fair he's a fan of Aberdeen and makes no secret of it. I much prefer that to pundits and journalists who support one or other of the Old Firm but pretend to follow St Mirren or the like.....and, in further fairness to Richard Gordon, he hasin the past made similar comments about Peter Pawlet.
Yes bur Pawlet's diving reputation is deserved.

A superb and well deserved win. We dominated the midfield and won all the important battles. Roberts played from the start and looked the part, if he can stay fit I think he will be a big asset to us for the remaining games in the season.
I wish we could play the Inverness select every week...

Can't believe how close that score was. Just imagine what might have happened if Celtic had been facing all of Kilbride instead of just the East part!
It's a bit like Inverness; if only Clach had joined us

A big test passed today and it is fantastic to be in the next round. Really looking forward to seeing Robert's goal.

Great feeling to celebrate our first win and points of the season. This was such an important win and hopefully will now set the tone for the rest of the season.
The team looked up for it today and won most of the physical battles. Draper and Warren were the top players. Doumbouya will torment defences and I think will be entertaining to watch.
If we can get another defender in and midfielder/striker I will feel a whole lot more comfortable about the season ahead.
Well done today guys and onwards and upwards.
