Fleetwood Mac in the Ballerina 1971? Chicken Shack about the same time also in the Ballerina Yes and the Strawbs at Aviemore, Rick Wakeman played with both bands. Argent also (funny how our paths keep crossing TMFTJ) Slade at the Ballerina was in their pre glam days when they were still a skinhead band. A few bands in the Boy's club but the memory fades, Beggars Opera and Alex Harvey's band? before they were the Sensational Alex Harvey Band. John Otway at Eden Court . Tyrannosaurus Rex also played in the Empire but I wasn't at that one

Little rubber/plastic strips hanging down from bumpers on the rear of cars

Walking round from the roundabout on Wed night I noticed they had a warden stopping parkers at the entrance to the salt yard. Normally there are a pile of cars in there getting free parking close to the ground.

My Dad was in the pub last night , with TMFTJ who probably won't remember this, and they were told that a local band named Hot Cottage opened the festival. By the way it was the first ever festival of it's kind in Scotland. The second was at Grangemouth, Did anyone else make the trip there ?

TMFTJ said I had to post here as I was 12 last February. He sits near me at the home games and I've learned some interesting new words. :shock:
