  1. Yes that's what I thought as well
  2. You got that right Yngwie
  3. I will be listening to the radio as usual for an away game
  4. No! We know what is going on but as long as we have the Chairman and board running the club and there is no sign of any other interested people taking over there is nothing we can do but cross our fingers and hope for the best for our club.
  5. Jackie Sutherland (90) became just the fourth person to be awarded a City of Inverness Medal from Provost Glynis Campbell-Sinclair before taking a half-time bow to warm applause from fans at the Caley Thistle v Queen’s Park match.
  6. I don’t disagree with what you are saying. I live in Inverness and go to home games only with the exception of the big away games like last season. I also have no interest in other sports.
  7. I have my season ticket and will see it out again supporting my team. If the shinty is that good you can always do a report on the game in the Other Sports section on this forum.
  8. I am going to say second even though we have five new players and I am pinning a lot of hope on Big Harry! I also think a couple of our home grown players will shine this season. Lookin forward to a good start tomorrow.
  9. That is likely right a 1DD reverse numbering started 1961 in the County of Gloucester and that one is 7027.
  10. DoofersDad must have been on holiday A 1961 Sunbeam rapier registered in Gloucester, a long way from Shetland. A very good car in it's day, my father had one it was very quick and had overdrive which dropped the revs down once you got going.
  11. Another car I didn't like but I will say they were on similar lines to the Morris Minor a cheap to run small car they were reliable. The lates 500 is very popular and there are a lot on the road.
  12. I was never keen on any of the French cars although that one is a bit stylish and I always thought the estate looked like a bullet! What a shocking green
  13. There are some rare ones down there, another one I have never seen although it looks like a Triumph Stag.
  14. It's a cracker but I could not afford to fill the tank with fuel
  15. Now that's an easy one with the old Beach Boys classic helping me From capri to classic i am feeling like an old classic myself
  16. Yes a man that has worked quietly over many years with the young footballers here in Inverness. There is going to be a presentation before our first home game.
  17. He will likely post it next as I am not sure
  18. I don’t recognise it! Looks similar to a Jensen or a TVR.
  19. That car has style not like the cars of today
  20. I thought you had taken points off As a young boy I loved that Capri which was better looking than the Classic but most were scrapped by the time I started driving. That’s not standard wheels although they suit the car. I think it was plain steel wheels with a centre plain hubcap that they had.
  21. Here is my 1973 YST 344M which was registered in November. I bought it in a private sale from Roddy Wood who worked in Burnetts for £1100 in 1975. It was a 1600xl and Cordiners had a similar 1600l on sale for £1395 so I got a good deal. It was a good car apart from having to replace the calmshaft which was a common problem. I was chuffed when I got it thinking I had the best car in town but there was a guy Raymond who had one the same colour but it was a 3000gxl. Lesson learnt there is always someone with a better car than you!
  22. You are being very harsh as the Velox an Wyvern shared the same chassis and body similar to the Ford Zephyr and Zodiac. I hope you will give me a bit of slack
  23. It wasn’t the County game, they are playing tonight
