  1. I worked with a guy who in his early years had worked in a chicken factory near Aberdeen and would not eat chicken or even ****-a leekie soup! A double Bacardi and Coke never bothered him though

  5. That would be great even if it means moving seats for social distancing there is plenty room in the North Stand and it will be great to get the crack again although I am not to optimistic at present.
  6. The Queen Mary photo was taken 06.39 19/6/2005 it's a great thing a digital camera The bridge was easy with the clue the River Dee at Mar Lodge. A part of the country I have not been to yet.

  8. My photo was the Queen Mary' first visit to Invergorden. snorbens is the QE2. weemans is the Prince of Wales with no planes! I think the postcard photo is the big grassy area in the centre of Cromarty
  9. Here is another clue I hope I am right this was taken from the shoreline at the same place
  10. You are both close the cars are hard to make out, from the left 2nd one is a Vauxhall Victor, 4th Hillman Minx (I think) 5th Ford Anglia, 6th might be a Ford Cortina which would be 1963 or later, a Morris Minor and the campervan is a Austin or Morris J2.

  14. Ok it's only a guess I think the car may be a Crossley. What terrible things went on back then although it still happens throughout the world to this day! Not sure if I know the next one, there is a big hill in front that Mantis might have climbed
  15. I have it now Braal Castle Halkirk. The last time I was there about 10 years ago it was converted to flats.

  18. I will get in before Mantis he posted one of a bothy nearby a while ago. It's Arkle taken from the south end of Loch Stack.

  20. The Glenlivet behind the hedge on google maps I would have got a distant view while travelling from Tomintoul to Dufftown but not enough to remember it.
  21. A famous distillery somewhere in the hills that's not painted white that narrows it down a bit
  22. Not much to go on there Mantis I have no idea lets hope it's near Fort William and Robert get's it.
  23. That's it I was looking for some of my ancestors in the old grave yard in 2012 which I was lucky to find so was worth the visit. A great great uncle's name is also on the war memorial in Cardross he was killed in WW1 in Belgium aged 54! It was on the way to Helensburgh to visit a second cousin that I spotted the Isle of Arran across the water.
