  1. The retained ST prices are quite a kick in the gonads after last season's fiasco. Until I get some proper answers from the club about that and what their outlook is for the future I won't be renewing mine.

Checking the Caley Thistle website and the forum every couple hours today and still no word. I bet it contains...

    - Full confidence in Richie and confident of swift return to top flight.

    - Thank fans for patience during difficult season and ask for them to get behind Richie.

    - Several players will be moving on and they will thank them for their work.

    - Tightening of the belt.

Oh and by the way the new kit goes on sale this Thursday and you can buy your season tickets with 10% discount for early birds. Roll up roll up. Crisis, what crisis? Carry on regardless.

  3. I will revert back to a post I made a few weeks ago about our financial predicament. The question of whether we are about to go into administration could well be a factor in what happens in the next few days. If it is the case then we will start life in the Championship with a points deduction. Then we will find the level that the Board seem to wish us to operate at to sustain the club in the long term. Sad times indeed.

  4. Great to win and give us some hope, and another performance we could have done with on umpteen occasions earlier in the season to get us well clear of relegation. I'm also amazed that we kept a clean sheet and won in that vanilla and black kit!

I'm another one who will miss the Motherwell game - visiting seriously ill mother in Edinburgh. I was coming up the A9 from there tonight and about 5.30 passed the supporters' bus heading south at Blair Atholl, wishing I could have joined them in Dundee.

  5. There was an article on Lewis in yesterday's Metro free paper and how Richie has offered to help him deal with his addiction. Unfrtunately, just below this article were two ads for betting companies including Paddy Power. How ironic.

  6. Surely it should be Cole for Anier but on the left with Mulraney switched back to the right? I also hope that Vigurs is rested.

The issue with Fonners is not so much the recent injury, he just needs more resting. Could put him on the bench though as Ryan is also not fully fit.

  7. The away top looks like we've gone all Formula 1 with the chequered flag. Simple white would be better despite the Clach similarities. I would have preferred a complete change to red or even back to black.

I'd also forgotten how cheap looking the Errea gear is. Remember their top sizes are 2 down from normal. So if you are a large it's 2XL you will need to order.

  8. Good to win but we were woeful in the 2nd half. Let Hamilton boss the game and push us back to our own box for most of it then wasted chances on the break. I think it's just delaying the inevitable and we can't keep a clean sheet. Play like that against Killie next week and we'll get humped. Andrew Dallas (from Lanarkshire?) also had a nightmare in the 2nd half.

The club has a number of people who make rediculous decisions and don't have the balls to put their hands up and take responsibility.

If our situation wasn't as bad as it is I would give that comment a rofl, but sadly you are absolutely right. I wonder if RF had a hand in choosing that strip too.

  10. When I made postings in November and December last year about how I felt we were sinking into the mire and feared the worst I was lambasted by quite a few folk on this forum and told to stop being so negative. Now when you read nearly every posting on tonight's game these seem to vindicate my "alleged" ramblings. Nevertheless I have continued to go to matches in the hope that we might turn the corner. No chance though after witnessing tonight's debacle, not helped again by not getting the rub of the green from yet another referee.

I was also listening to Barry Wilson and Charlie Christie on Radio Scotland whilst driving back early from Dungwall. Yes, I was one of the several who left immediately after the fourth goal. Up until this season I had never left a game before the final whistle. I must have left at least five times this year alone and tonight was the earliest, with 30 minutes to go. Some folk around us left when the second goal went in and headed for The Mallard.

Charlie touched on a number of matters post match that suggested there are more deep seated issues, which I also heard strong rumours about two weeks ago. With poor home attendances and not kicking on after our Cup win, youth and Under 20s players not being offered new contracts, a large senior squad with a high wage bill and retaining a manager because the Board can't afford to sack him, all points to a club in serious financial trouble. Yet we have been told the Club has been in the black for a few seasons now?

If the rumours I heard from more than one source are true (and I desperately hope not), then we don't just face dropping into The Championship, but League 2 for next season, just like that dark force of evil from Govan. This would be very very grave indeed and I fear we might never recover from it.

Rumour has it that some did resign this week at the routine meeting !

Yes and they've brought back the psychotherapist who helped them win the old 1st Division in 2010. May be he can psyche up the players enough to go on a winning run until the end of the season and overhaul Dundee by 12 points again. Positive thinking or am I dreaming?

Much as expected. If we are going to have any chance of survival it is essential that we win our remaining two home games. To do that we need every edge and advantage we can including a large and supportive home crowd.

In order to encourage that backing, I believe that the club should charge £5 for adults and £2 for concessions for both matches and advertise that fact as widely as possible in the local media. I appreciate that that will lose income in the region of forty thousand pounds or so but that is very small beer compared to the reduction in income in excess of a million pounds for every season we might have to spend in the lower leagues. Every effort must be made to encourage as many people away from the Retail Park and down to East Longman.

Couldn't agree more. We could do with about half of those who were in our end of Hampden for the 2015 Scottish cup final to provide more vocal support. All our remaining games are just as important with every one a cup final. Don't see why the local press and radio station can't help drum up support too.

  13. He should have gone in November last year, when he lost the dressing room and said he's to blame. That's also when the players got together to see how they could improve things. They have all failed since then to kick on and climb the league.

If I was in Richie's position at that time I would have walked to save what was left of my dignity. Now it's just ridiculous to let things go so far towards the Abyss. I really don't understand how the Board have keep faith in him so long.

  14. I'd go for a 4-4-2 as follows: -

    Fon Williams

    Raven - McCart - MacNaughton - Tremarco

    Mulraney - Tansey - Laing - Cole

    Mckay - Fisher

Subs: Esson plus 6 others drawn from that tombola drum thingy in the photo.

Och Scarlet you are an awful man  I hope IHE has not been leading you astray  where I was in the north stand behind the goals it was a clear penalty as I seen it and all round about me had no complaints about it as for the rest of the game the ref was ******* awful although we did not do enough to win the game!

That assessment of the penalty incident and what followed pretty much sums it up for me too. We were holding our heads in our hands after Brad's lunge and for a lot of the rest of the game too.

  16. I've been waiting all season for us to really cut loose and thrash a team. The closest we came to that was the 3-0 win at Motherwell but we have never come close since. I think if we were to play 2 wingers plus Fisher and Billy Mckay up front v Killie then it will increase our chances of that happening.
