To pick up on a point made by Doofersdad, Why on earth when you're 3-1 or 4-1 down would you take off a player who might score and replace him with one who hasn't scored in God knows how long. Fine bring on a forward but replace a defender and attack their goal. Also why Heskey and not Crouch? Crouch's England record is miles better than Heskey's. When ever Crouch plays for England he makes goals and scores them. Heskey does niether. To be perfectly honest, judging by the way England played in the group stage and this match. There isn't one England fan that can say we could win the World cup or any other cup with this set up.

I have supported them since I bought my humble abode in Inverness 14 years ago. When I was mocking Scottish football I was talking about the national team. Unlike the national team, ICT actually win things. :D Sorry to play devil's advocate here, Oz, but on that basis is the Scotland National team not your local national side now that you've moved here? Should you not support Scotland now? Why? I'm not Scottish, I have never claimed to be. I merely live here. If you moved to America would you support them and give up your allegience to Scotland? If I lived my life according to your logic I would have had to change my "team" a hell of a lot as I have lived in several countries during my time in the Army. As it happens I have a strong leaning towards Scotland and most things Scottish.

As a matter of fact I have only ever said nice things unless I am being engaged in banter with some of the more mature posters. I am married to scots lass and am very happy living amongst scottish people. Unfortunately there is this small minority who have a rather large chip on their shoulder.
