I was bought up in Toowoomba if that's any good. Obviously I'm in Sneck now so I guess not. :(

I just have to ask, are you really as thick as your user name suggests? Your post seems to imply that to be a resounding YES

Wow, I've been away for a nice drive and stopped for a lovely pub lunch, relaxed by the sea and come home and you're still at it. Why don't we all just agree to disagree. We are all ICT fans with different ideas of what a fan is. As long as we keep supporting ICT then that's all that matters. Mods, this might be an ideal time to close the thread???????

This really makes me laugh. I dare to disagree with the views of 2 posters (who I might add, I thought were 2 of the more sensible on here), I therefore must suffer from low cerebral capacity. The fact I have a Mensa confirmed IQ of 155 shoots that theory down but never mind. If I then go on to point out the irony of his mistake, out comes the Dyslexia defence. Now you may suffer from Dyslexia and if so I'm sorry for you but if this is the case then surely the old saying about stones and glass houses comes into play. As for the need for smilies to help you understand my post. Maybe if you need pictures, it is you who has the low cerebral capacity. Now I didn't want to get into a slanging match but it was you who got personal. I would prefer to have meaningful discussions without the name calling. Banter is obviously not allowed on here anymore. If this is the case I apologise for anything that has been taken to heart because I didn't use smilies. :P

I had credited you with a bit more intelligence Oz. How silly of me! Seems to me, your just another of the ones who like to stir it up! If you havent got the cerebal capacity to take on board whats been said...without viewing it as an attack, thats your look out! Smee, get of your high horse mate. My post was a bit of tongue in cheek humour. I had credited you with having a sense of humour. How silly of me. As for having the cerebral capacity you speak of, I at least, unlike your good self have the ability to spell the word.

I would hardly call it hatred Oz, I married a lass born in Ross-shire of English stock, I hate seeing C*unty being successful as I hate seeing Ingurlund being successful but I hold no hatred towards their support, if I did I think it might just drive me mad living in C*unty country. "Okay Paisley, I apologise, I don't understand your attitude. County are our rivals, I hate them and most of their fans hate us. It is up to you what you do but like I say I don't understand and it has annoyed me that you have put this in the forum dedicated to ICT when the thread has nothing whatsoever to do with ICT. If you had placed it in the correct forum I would have probably ignored it." Your words mate

The way I see it is that it's all about choices. Some choose to wish RC well in the cup final, some don't. Some choose to watch the final with no preference to who wins just to watch football (This is me). We will all have a different outlook regards the match but that does not make us bad ICT supporters. Because you choose to "support" whoever faces RC doesn't make you a better ICT than someone who wishes to "support" RC in this one off match and visa versa. Birdog, you yourself mention that it is since 1994 that you have this hatred for them with a lesser degree before, so all the pre merger talk is irrelevent really. I moved here in 1994 so was not part of the pre merger rivalry but since I have been here I have adopted a friendly rivalry with RC but nothing like the hatred shown on here. Smee, "But we can hold our heads up...as we were the ones supporting our local teams when most of the Inverness supporting folk chose not to!" It must have been lonely with just the 2 of you stood there. "Im guessing unless you (meaning people in general) grew up in the 70s and 80s actually supporting a local team, you may well struggle with this concept." That's a bit "holier than thou" mate "I watch many matches not involving my teams in the hope of an entertaining match" You support more than one team? How could you?

I'd be interested in hearing how you define old school supporter. Start with not supporting you local rivals at a glamorous final!! Is it not possible to watch a match as a nuetral? Just to enjoy a good match? To enjoy the spectacle that is a cup final?

Is it the time of the month or something? Why is everybody so angry? Some choose to cheer County on, some don't get over it it's life. I personally think they deserve to be in the final after today's display but will not be cheering them on in the final as I couldn't give a toss who wins.

Cup or the League?
Be surprised then cos someone has. Surprised I be :P

How long will their dream last?
Smee, I think you're being a bit unfair. I am not born and bred Invernessian so do not have the hatred flowing through my veins. I do support Caley as I live here now and they are my local team. That doesn't stop me appreciating good football. County played very well today and deserve their place in the final. You've always struck me as a decent sort of guy on here and I can't see why you would come out with such hate filled comments. At the end of the day "it's only a game". Come on mate, credit where it's due. County deserve to be in the final.

Cup or the League?
I'd be very surprised to see a single person opt for the cup.

How long will their dream last?
All I can say is well done to County. Fair enough Celtic were crap but you can only play what is put in front of you. They played well above the standard set by Celtic and scored 2 great goals. I hope they go on to win the cup as they deserve it on that performance alone. :025: Commentator said they were 66/1 to win 2-0, bet some people did alright on that.

Merged: Racist abuse at TCS.
Do we really want to dig this up again? I have relatives who are English (I myself have an English grandfather), I have relatives who are gay. It is possible to call someone a poof or English poof without intending malice (banter?). The fact that someone has been charged does dot prove anything. We do not know what was said and anyone implying it was a comment directed at Terry may be well off the mark (we have Irish players and Eric is also English). You are of course correct, it is possible to say these things in a banter like fashion and if so are accepted as that. Unfortunately in the instance I am referring to, this was not the case. Given DC's rather well published views it was obvious that banter was the last thing on his mind. But as you said maybe it should be left at that so I will not push it further. I just wanted to make my point, my work here is done. Do you always have to have digs at me? Pretty pathetic as thats all it is. But I was born in England (Though i class myself as Scottish) and my Mother is English. But i don't see what all of you are moaning at if i am being honest. You complain that we are not allowed to call them Gypos, but now moan about some guy calling Butcher an "English ****". Tea pot and Kettle (Or whatever that saying is) Banter people. Banter. Its not as if he is saying he wants to kill all the English? Or rubbing the death of English people in Butchers face is it? I also have a wee feeling that when the guy shouted, he probably ment to highlight the word **** more than the English part. End of the day, Butcher is English, and he may well be a ****! For the sake of peace, harmony and because I can't be f****d, I'm going to leave this alone.

Dearest Terry,
Why so many nay sayers? If Birdog wants to believe then what's the problem? If it makes him happy why does it bother so many people? As he said at least he is enjoying himself. If he is setting himself up for a fall then so be it. He's a big boy he'll get over it. There are too many people who don't want to accept that it is possible. Is it because they would have to accept that TB has done what no-one thought he could? Until it is physically impossible to win we should have faith in TB and the team and believe that it can be done.

I for one will be waiting the outcome of this case as it reminds me of a thread not so long ago. "English cvnts" "English w0nkers" Pretty much along the same lines don't you think? If one is found to be racist by the courts then surely the other is? What do you think DornochCaley? The fact the County fan was charged is proof enough for me that it is not acceptable to use these expressions.

Ithink if things keep going like this, there will be a lot of people eating humble pie come the end of the season. :021:

Winning ugly
Nope. There is no minimum distance required for players to stand back at throws. As long as they don't jump up when it is taken and they are on the pitch they can stand as close to the line as possible. That is correct, I seem to remember a game in the EPL last year when a player complained about the opposition standing right in front of him and the ref saying exactly what you said. I think he'd be getting a smack in the gob on the follow through if he did it to me.

The Beckham home coming
I think the thing I like about him most is that he puts his heart and soul into the game. Many footballers today play when they want to but half the time just go through the motions. Becks puts 100% into 90mins. He may be getting older and slower but he still gets about the pitch and if you want a ball playing up to you, there isn't anybody better at delivering it. Then there's always the free kicks as well, whenever you get a free kick in the other half you know there is a good chance he will score from it or at least make the keeper work. I'd have him in my team any day. I hope he stays fit for the world cup, he could be the difference. PS: Just want to say thankyou to Pullmyfinger for the moving PM he sent me apologising to all posters for his behaviour and stating that he would love to be English and support them in the world cup. :)

The Beckham home coming
I know it's nothing to do with ICT and some won't give a f**k but, What did you all think of the game and the reception Becks got from the UTD fans? I thought Utd were a different class last night and made Milan look very ordinary. I also thought Ronaldinho was a lazy ******* who thought he was too good to have to get back and help out in defence. Becks looked a bit chocked by the reception he got, fully deserved IMO. I know Brand Beckham can be a bit in your face but I've always liked him as a player. I wanted the thunderbolt that he let loose to go in but hey, can't have everything. Nice touch picking up the scarf as well. I don't like praisng Utd but they are unstoppable at the moment. Your thoughts?
