  1. One word to describe the action taken by these so called Top Refs ---- PATHETIC!!!!

?800 + a game and as soon as they get a bit of criticism they throw the toys out of the prams

Dougie MacDonald should have been fired or at best downgraded to officiate lower league games for his part in the shambles

Celtic should be hauled into the SFA offices and severely fined or get points deducted for their part

As Scotland is a very small country refs should be made to declare what team they support before they get the badge, although we all know the majority will say Rangers

The standard of refereeing in this country is at an all time low and i would fully welcome refs from other countries officiating as it will highlight how bad our numpties really are

  2. So Dougal if I'm following your logic the fact that P&B does not require registration to read brings 'thousands' of new people around the word to follow and become enlightened in Scottish football where before they would not have been interested? They would otherwise be tempted elswhere?

    It's hardly rocket science!!!!

I'm not saying thousands would necessary join up to P&B but that site certainly seems more welcoming than CTO

P&B and all other SPL clubs forums gives the lurker the option to read on while CTO doesn't unless they register which IMO puts the majority off

It certainly doesn't help enticing new fans

  3. OP makes a good shout. This forum would get much more traffic if it wasn't private. As far as I'm aware every other Scottish football forum is open for guests to read.

PS Kopparberg isn't good for your teeth OP.

I think this only highlights the point i was trying to make last night

I can understand money being an issue though, maybe we are just a bit tighter when it comes to cash up here in the north

Kopparberg is also not good for your health the following day :slapme:

  4. You Say ICT..I say Caley so what

What is wrong is you are disrespecting Alex by saying so

Can you please refer to the team as ICT or Inverness in the future, as far as i can see you are just trying to get a rise out of the ex jaggies which achieves nothing other than splitting the support :irritated:

  5. I believe the 4th round draw is at Hampden on Monday. So who do you fancy getting?

I wouldn't mind a wee trip to Buckie or Elgin to get things under way.

I agree they would be great trips and we would take good numbers to either

If i had to chose one though it would be Elgin

Think i read somewhere on here back in the day there used to be pavement dancing when Elgin and Caley clashed :amazed:

  6. Sensible question actually. Which deserves a sensible answer.

Simple answer is BANDWITH. We pay for the amount of bandwidth we use and now that we have moved to VPS hosting instead of 'shared' we pay 5 times the amount we used to !!!! For that reason, and because we pay this cost out of our own pockets, we restrict the display of full threads to registered and logged in members.

Thank you, I had an idea it had something to do with money but i wasn't entirely sure

    dougal

  7. My question is simple;

Why do i have to be logged in to read the follow up posts to each thread??

I feel we are excluding hundreds if not thousands of potential fans worldwide by not enabling them to view each thread and see what we are all about

In my opinion we should be promoting the ICT brand to a world wide audience not restricting it to its members

I would like to point it out that this is NOT a dig at the mods as i'm sure they have their reasons why they have set the forum out like this

After the result today ICT find themselves in the strongest position they have ever been in so could we somehow be stunting the growth?

P.s i'm on the kopparberg tonight so i hope the above makes sense

  8. For the first three league games of the season, there it was, up the flagpole at the corner of the ground. For the last three league games it has been missing.

Has it been lost, stolen, sold or destroyed by some bitter old jaggie furious that it was blue and white. Maybe, this post will trigger its reappearance. Let's see.

    :amazed:

Dearie me, and i get told i start stupid threads!!!!!

DJS i reckon you must be a refusenik on the wind up

  9. Big Dunc is a Legend in my eyes and it was a pleasure meeting the guy , i will treasure my signed copy forever

Classic story of local lad done good, from Highland League to full caps for Scotland

Not many lads from the north of scotland have achieved this and i for one applaud you big man :clapping:

I'm afraid this thread highlights a fair amount of jealousy by certain ICT fans and shame on them

  10. Why do certain moderators waste their time using virtual bullying tactics on Dougal. If you don't want to answer his questions or think he is taking the mickey just ignore him! Every thread that he has posted on pretty much has certain moderators trying to stir things up and this encourages others to have a go at him. It's this kind of mob mentality that makes me not want to post on here most of the time.

    Good post

I agree, take last night for instance a mod basically posted on every thread i started at the same time in a failed attempt to get me to bite but also to stir things up :annoyed:

I would also like to know which mod damaged my reputation by -20 in one swoop??

As far as i know i have broken NO rules and i most certainly have had no warnings or tickings off

    Anyway back on topic;

I actually fully agree on-line shopping is the way forward so i applaud the club for getting this operation up and going

It will be important however that the merchandise must be off good quality with a good selection of items

  11. I was in said waterstones last Friday and stumbled upon " Up stephen's Brae" I kid you not it looked like it had been literally typed up on a pre war type writer and stapled together by primary kids

I can get the author to sign one for ya ! I'm sure he will oblige if you buy the set.

    Eh...........no thanks!!:yuk:

  12. Dougal is quite clearly a refusenik on the wind up.

Sad to say you are mistaken ymip

I'll admit i'm not a season ticket holder but i attend most home games and the odd away game depending on circumstances

Did you have a big team?

  13. Sorry Alex I don't really have the time to start trolling through the archives to see what subjects have been talked about previously

I'm quite surprised by the answers already I just assumed there would be more old filth fans but I suppose the thread is in it's early stages

Were you a regular at Kingsmills?

  14. Good post Wyness hopefully he'll get a good turn out and sell a fair number of copies

I certainly will be popping along to purchase my copy

Book looks like a hard back and off good quality which is always a bonus.

All the best big Dunc with the sales

  15. Ok seeing ICT is still relatively a new club and that we have quite a unique fanbase , i can't think of any other clubs in the british isles who are like us :ictscarf:

My question is to all ICT fans but especially the older fans do you or did you have a big team before the formation of ICT?

I know the Canadian dude and the Infertile Howdenender are/were both Cellic fans that seem to have switched allegiance to ICT but are there many more like them on here?

I'll start it off my big team is Nottingham Forest once a European giant that have fallen from grace but are slowly showing signs of recovery

My dream is that one day i will see Forest in Europe once more but also along with ICT

  16. I'm a woman and a qualified referee so don't insult my intelligence by saying I know less about the game than you do simply because I have different body parts to you.

    :amazed:

  17. Gio has announced his latest squad for the friendly against Norway, i'd have thought it being a friendly we would have seen all three of our emerald boys given a run out

    http://www.fai.ie/in...atid=1&Itemid=8

When is Gio going to make his first trip to Sneck to take in a game??

I've emailed the FAI(football association of Ireland) to make him aware that we will make him all very welcome in our city and that he could get a free scotch pie and a bovril at the stadium

I urge all fellow ICT fans to do the same especially any who can speak a little bit of Italian

    Dougal

    Sei una testa di minchia!

Thats a terrible name to call Mr Trapattoni :amazed:

  18. Have thought long and hard about replying to this one as Dougal seems to specialise in shall we say controversial topics.

What crap. Personally Ive been going to football for over 30 yrs starting at Telford St all those yrs ago. i was even involved in the running of Caley thre for a while even as a mere woman.

I specialise in contoversial topics as the majority on here seem somewhat afraid to do so

When you say you were involved in running Caley does this mean collecting the raffle money or cutting up the oranges for half time??

I applaud absolutely everyone who plays his or her part in the running of a football club no matter how small the part is, providing its not to line their own pockets of course :clapping:

  20. Just thought I would let you know that the club shop will be open for a while first thing tomorrow morning to allow the people travelling on the Supporters bus a chance to but tickets for the upcoming games as well as a chance to have a look at the new stock, before they head off to Hamilton.

    Well done shop :clapping:

Glad somebody is listening to Dougal

I'm not going to Hamilton today but i'll try and pop in to see whats on offer :ictscarf:
