  1. Im probably going to get absolute pelters for this but here goes.

In my opinion this subject is getting rather tiresome. I have travelled to the majority of away games this season and love nothing more than following my team all over the country. I enjoy everthing about it. The trip down and back on the train, pre match drinks and getting the craic with my mates. But primarily im there to watch the football and support my team. Thats what it is all about. We are all down there to watch the game of football.

Now I totally agree with everyone else that some of the stewarding is ridiculous and heavy-handed but at some point everyone is going to have to stop all the nonense and abide by their rules. People got chucked out at the first away game of the season at tannadice and since then it has been happening on a weekly basis. There has been occasions where I too have argued with stewards over their dealings with some fans but there have been many instances where I have fully agreed with Stewards throwing certain fans out. A lot of our fans, particularly the young fans, seem to just be there to start something off with stewards. I've stood at a lot of games aswell but if your told to sit down a couple of times then your just going to have to do what they say. Its not like they are going to change their minds. We are all there to watch the game, not to get chucked out. But everyone cant seem to understand that. The youngsters seem to take great delight in arguing, goading and baiting the stewards. Its no wonder that they are getting chucked out and its embarassing that its happening every away game. Its even more embarassing that these people who have spent a fortune travelling to the game are only getting to see a part of the game when all they had to do was shut their mouths and just get on with the fact that the stewards are arseholes and not going to change their minds. You can slag off the stewards all you like but at some point fans are going to have to change the way they act.

Yesterday was a prime example. Granted the steward was way out of line with what he did, but what is he supposed to do when he was constantly getting abuse from them all. Everyone has their breaking point and I would challenge everyone of you to put yourself in his shoes and not react the way he did. I think everyone knows that the boy that it happened to has a fair mouth on him and there has been many occassions where he has been out of order with some of the abuse he has given. He was told many times to sit down but never once did. Why not just shut up, sit down and watch the game like he came to do?

Now I know that I'm now going to get dogs abuse for all this but this can't keep happening every week. Stewarding around the country needs changed and they do spoil an enjoyable day out but our fans are also going to have to change if they want this situation to get any better.

Great Post Sir and I agree with you in its entirety so you have been green dotted

Can't help but think i'd be looking at a serious amount of red if it had been my post though, but thats not the issue

All seater stadia are here to stay within top flight football in the UK and being a fan who endured outdated and dangerous grounds in the 80's and early 90's i welcome watching my football in modern safer environments and if that means sitting for the majority of the game well so be it

One thing I will say though is that every time this sort of thread raises its head, IHE appears to have been ejected or in his words close to have been ejected :ponder:

Finally you have to remember that anyone who is employed as a steward is more than likely to be of extremely low intellect and probably more so coming from Paisley

  2. Tuffey for me, why should he be dropped when he has played his part as much as anyone in getting us to the quarters?

In fact if it wasn't for him we may well have been punted out of the cup by Elgin City, a defeat that would have been the most embarrassing result in the clubs history

  3. As predicted earlier by myself a glamour quarter final tie is guaranteed in the shape in one of the old filth

Lets watch all the stay away fans suddenly re-appear as the clamber for tickets intensifies

Not being a season ticket i will now have to queue with thousands of these losers who couldn't be bothered to show face against Elgin or Morton and i'm not even guaranteed a ticket at the end of the day

This is an absolutely crazy situation surely the club should have announced that fans that could show that they attended the earlier rounds would be guaranteed a ticket before the public sale commenced

Maybe the supporters trust or whatever they call themselves these days could bring up my complaint at their next meeting

    Rant over

  4. 1893 was the official attendance yesterday :amazed:

Firstly i would like to congratulate every ICT fan including myself who attended yesterday, every single one of us deserve a round of applause :clapoverhead:

It will be interesting to see the stampede for tickets if we draw a glamour tie in the quarter finals, these so called fans who will appear out of the woodwork are a disgrace in my eyes and how they sleep at night is beyond me

Watching the game on TV only highlights how sparce the crowd was, in future when the crowd is that low we should wait till 2.55pm then all move en mass to the one area in the north stand(say section G & F) and main stand, that way it looks a lot less embarrassing on TV and you never know it might just create an atmosphere when everyone is huddled together

I had a big night on the sauce last night so i'm still half canned but i hope the above makes sense

At last, we have irrefutable proof that vodka and coke is actually good for you.

He's probably on his way to Castle Greyskull with his fellow Septics

  6. It appears that everyone can now read all the posts without having to login or register

Fair play to the Mods for reacting so quickly to my thread and enhancing the ICT brand to a world wide audience

  7. Heard some Dons fans on Wednesday were calling us Highland Huns.

    Is that a new thing?

What on earth have we done to deserve such a label?

Definitely not a new thing i have heard this a lot too

I reckon it has something to do with our predominantly blue strip and maybe some of the unfortunate songs that section G used to sing a few years back when we played Celtic

  8. Do ICT fans that post on here also have accounts on Pie & Bovril?

I know by reading that forum that some names i know from here appear on P&B so i assume they are the same poster

Surely its a good thing for ICT fans to also post on P&B so fans from other clubs in Scotland know what we are all about

At the moment i'm only a reader not a member but i thought i'd ask the masses here what they think and whether they thought it was a site that enhanced the ICT brand :ictscarf:

There does seem to be a little bitterness displayed by some ICT fans on there but i can only assume these individuals have maybe been banned or sent to Coventry on here

    Thoughts?

  9. Provided we have the money I think we should just get Tade anyway, or at least get him to sign a pre-contract with us.

I'm really not sure Tade is the answer, the last thing we need is another striker like Barrowman who hasn't already proved himself at the higher level

  10. I find it incredible that 27 people have voted that we will finish in the top six!!!! these people are either seriously deluded or complete bampots at the wind up

I must admit before this pathetic run of results i too believed a top six place was possible but certainly not anymore i'm afraid

I reckon 9th or 10th but i still see this as a success, surely avoiding relegation was the main objective seeing this is our first season back in the top flight

Its time the guilty 27 take a long hard reality check

  11. Is it no about time Adam tells us what his intentions really are??

The longer the speculation drags on the more peeeed off us the fans that pay his wages will get

It's no coincidence that his form has dipped terribly since all this transfer nonsense surfaced

C'mon Adam you either want to be a jaggy or not :ictscarf:

  12. Why will 10 team league work this time when it didnt last time?

In what way did it not work last time???

Aberdeen won the European cup winners cup in 1983 and Dundee Utd made a European Cup semi while in a 10 club SPL if i'm not mistaken

I personally would like to see a 14 or 16 team league but that just ain't going to happen now so theres no point continuing to bleat on about it

  13. We had a feckin great re-union but there was an unanimous decision made at the closure of the lock in that we would be doing a dis service to the good old days to turn up at a game against a once proud outfit who are simply 3rd class.

It really is great to have hooked such a big sprat on what was clearly - to most - a fishing trip from the first cast.

    :rotflmao::rotflmao::rotflmao::rotflmao:

Every Howden Ender you contacted told you to Feck Off didn't they :rotflmao:

I know if my beloved Nottingham Forest merged with Notts County you wouldn't have seen me for dust

You only have to look at the club crest to question the integrity of the merger, when would you ever see an Eagle landing on a thistle??? Not only would the Eagle be too heavy it would have more sense as it knows it would hurt its feet

  14. Now this could be a rather difficult thread to administrate but PLEASE let it go on the main page - I am looking to set up a reunion of the group of lads who were dubbed the "Caley Animals", revered by the Telford Street masses, gained notoriety which was more often OTT and added on to and on to, gained a certain cult status and had others associating themselves and names added on and on. I know who the originals were. I will also be posting this on P&B and Facebook with a view to a Reunion before the Elgin game.

Mantis - can I add yer name as an intermediate contact ?

As far as I am concerned we were "naughty" - possibly "very naughty" !! - and we got in more than our fair share of scraps but those were the times (70's - early 80s) and we were no different to the SESH army of today. Plus it bugs me with all the "posers" and anti - merger fans - who associate themselves with a quite exclusive group of "mates" who really had Caledonian FC but also Inverness at their souls.

So - let the others join - and here is the first controversy - the original idea of the "Animals" came from maself and "Stormin" Norman Gordon - now deceased - I am totally convinced that Norman was Inverness first and Rangers second and he would have been in Section G and CaleyAway today if he was still alive. Rodger MacDonald fell off a train in 1977 but he was my best mate and he would definitely be standing beside me today. He also was Inverness football through and through.

The others are all alive - most are stay aways (but could come back for the Hellgin) but some of the originals are around, and at least 2 go regularly to TCS, but perhaps incognito. Lets get together and show that the "cult" of old Inverness are not as anti ICT as all make it out to be.

So - if you proclaim to be an original "Caley Animal" - please post here.

So how did the re-union go then?

Judging by the paltry home support yesterday the word success seems unlikely especially when the organiser doesn't even bother turning up himself :amazed:

  15. I'm hearing very loud whispers that the Caley Club is on its last legs and is to be sold possibly for flats . Anyone else hear this ?

Not heard a peep but in my opinion it would be no great loss i steer clear of this establishment mainly due to some of the numpties who drink in it(the types that have an expert opinion about everthing but in reality no very very little)

ICT should sell up now and re-invest in drinking/eating facilities at the ground
