I believe Kyle Allison was on holiday and saw an ICT fan with his ICT top on and squared up to him as Allison is a County fan. Said fan was at the game yesterday, hence the chants.

As mentioned in the Montrose game thread, the players thought they could just turn up and win against Montrose. They knew they had to work hard and play well against United to get anythnig from the game.

Its like a Dundee Utd reunion circa 2000.

Jesus wept, no one is saying we have the right to beat anyone. However I expect the players to be professional and to do a good job, which would have meant beating Montrose comfortably, because let's face it, we are better then them.

Inverness United were also involved in the Dana Cup (under 17's) Unfortunately narrowly lost in semi-final. Great achievement by both teams though! Yep, Inverness United are the Clach under 17s.

Here's the way I saw the game on saturday. The result wasn't the best to be honest, a 1-1 draw at home to a 3rd Division side, but these things happen in football. What fecked me off was the general attitude of the players, the attitude of 'Ach, its only Montrose, this will be a stroll in the park'. I think the players forgot they were actually playing against fellow footballers, who play in the SFL, like our players, because they are good enough to do so. What also annoyed me was the lack of movement from our professional footballers, who I hope were taught at a young age how to move into space to recieve the ball. Basic stuff I would have thought. I would actually love to see a first team training session. I know I would be left disappointed at what I saw. There appeared to be a lack of genuine quality in our squad on Saturday, something I have never said about ICT before. Maybe not a lack of quality, but a lack of showing it. I am not worried about the ability of the squad or the ability of the management team. Im worried about the attitude.

Infact, I change my opinion on the game completely. If someone had offered me a scrape through on penalties against Montrose, I would have bitten their hand off. I deem that a great result for ICT. Think I had better agree with the moderator, just incase.

So you think being taken to penalties by a part-time 3rd division side is acceptable? With a team who most of the players have SPL experience? I think someone else needs the reality check.
