Adam Rooney
Adam Rooney has signed for Oldham a free transfer. He seems to be slipping down the leagues again. A shame really, he always seemed to have goals in him and I should have thought a decent championship club would be about his level. http://www.teamtalk.com/oldham-athletic/8850001/Latics-snap-up-striker-Rooney

Butcher to Barnsley? Terry stays put***
Terry should read this before he decides - http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=50&fid=41&sty=2&act=1&mid=2113506770 Barnsley's financial position Based on new accounts unto may 2012 Turnover £8.6m down from £11m previuos year some of this down to loss of BBC tv revenue approximate £800,000 Wage bill £6.2m reduced by £1.8m from mark robins reign Pre tax profit £30,000 Transfer fees paid out approximate £700k So in effect once the wages are paid the club were left with £2.4m to run the stadium, pay the rates, pay the police etc and leave a transfer kitty That's the size of the task facing the new boss, credit were credit is due to turn out any profit on those figures is tough. Like it or not on the playing side and know one can argue it's been poor when you look at the debts of other clubs it's the morals of football that's wrong not BFC we are leaving within our means and trying to compete with teams currently with wealthier owners or £48m parachute payments. Very tough job awaits someone.

Ross Draper Signs
That is the case with most footballers. They have to move where the work is. Make him welcome he may want to stay for life I have seen him play many times. As part of my job I have to watch Macc Town play on a regular basis. Ross is a sensible lad on and off the pitch. He always gives his all, he is a hard tackler and a good passer of the ball. I hope he manages the step up to the higher level.

Butcher for England Manager
Spurs won't let Rednap go. England look elsewhere. Terry Butcher bled for England! Good manager, done a cracking job at Caley thistle. This has been posted on a few forums although not in the bookies odds yet. Would he go?

Rooney in talks with Hibs
He is waiting until nearly the end of the window to see who else will come in for him. He is waiting to see if he can get a better deal. The likelyhood is he is off in the transfer window.

MERGED: Rooney Transfer ???
Suppose it depends how big his wages will be and how much the six figure fee is. I think it will be a bad move all round, bad for Caley and bad for Rooney who will be going into obscurity. He will be fogotten, but money talks and agents like to move players on so they get their cut. He would be better off, staying put for a couple of seasons, playing first team football and then maybe get a move to the English premier league.
