Can that source be trusted?! Great news if true. :003:

I think it's intended to put off predators.

Might just be the minimum £250 share purchase!

Uninspiring but winnable. I'll settle for that.

Dods has now said he is going to see out his contract, but I suppose you never know for sure until the window closes.
The bigger alarm bell for me is the failure of Black to sign the contract extension that was meant to get announced last week, and the week before etc. I suspect he is waiting to see if anything develops this week.

Good news that he has accepted that he is seeing out his contract. Gives us all season to find a replacement.

The final score is harsh, this was the best football we have played for a long time, we just didn't take our chances and they did. The midfield were EXCELLENT, with some superb spells of slick passing. It was the defence that let us down, and it's a long since you could say that. Hastings and Tokely had poor games (although putting Duncan on at right back just made things worse).
As usual Bayne gave 100%, and as usual McAllister was a headless chicken. Dargo and (for 50 minutes) Wyness were missed.
Very entertaining match, and a great performance from Black, closely followed by the other midfielders.
There is plenty to be optimistic about despite the result.

Ian Broadfoot's book lists every player ever to have played for the club up to 2004, and he ain't one of them. Don't recall him in the last 2 years either.
Maybe he once trained with the club for a few days? Or his CV was embellished to help him get a club?!
-
Never heard of him!

With a Tesco arrangement the club would definitely sell more tops, but might make less money overall.

Charlie (rightly) credits Steve Paterson with discovering great players for us.
He then goes on to suggest that we could get people to scout for us on a part time basis.
The solution is glaringly obvious!
-
At least he's consistent.
If he acknowledges some players but not others, then there is public disapproval of poor performances, and that's a lot more damaging than ignoring everyone.

You know how to use apostrophes.
(That's apostrophes, not apostrophe's)
-
He's an excellent midfielder, could do much better than St Mirrent.
-
Does that mean you haven't seen it? Maybe it's only on Setanta, I can't remember if I've seen it on ITV.

Or are you talking about The Sun advert that has been running for the last couple of weeks, with our very own LG standing on a hillside talking about when supercaleywentballistic, and that we had last season's best shot stopper with 107 saves, or something along those lines?

For the first and last time, I can see a similarity between Manchester Utd and Dundee Utd!
From BBC :
Bayern Munich have claimed they will report Manchester United to football's world governing body Fifa unless they end their pursuit of Owen Hargreaves. United have confirmed they want to sign the 25-year-old midfielder, who has also stated his desire to join them.
Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has warned United to cease their interest or "we will turn to Fifa".
"A club may only contact a player when the club holding his contract agrees to it," he told German newspaper tz.
England international Hargreaves has a contract with Bayern running until 2010.
And Bayern have already made it clear they expect it to be honoured.
The German club's general manager Uli Hoeness said: "Hargreaves is well advised to keep quiet. I can't understand that after two discussions he is still forcing the issue."
Ferguson has already admitted Bayern have so far resisted their attempts to add Hargreaves, saying: "We are trying hard but Bayern are proving very stubborn and resistant, which I can understand."

I watched a rerun of the game last night on Celtic TV. From the moment Rankin got the headknock in about 65 mins, he didn't contribute a single thing except a stray pass.

I can see many ICT fans turning up at Tynecastle expecting to just pay at the gate like they always have done. Surely any tickets unsold by ICT will be available on the day?
-
Re Buckett's praise of Hastings. I agree he played very well, but I'm wondering why he was away from his usual position for the Celtic goal?
The ball was played to Miller when he was in Hastings usual territory, but Hastings seemed to be about 30 yards up the pitch, leaving Dods (I think) to go wide to the attacker and allow space in the middle. I just can't remember the build up prior to that, did an ICT attack break down and allow Celtic a quick break?
-
Well done to Charlie and the team for a much improved second half, and very successful substitutions.

I can't remember seeing us outplayed like this.
Defence are just about coping, but the midfield is totally overrun and as a result the forwards aren't getting a sniff of the ball. Surely we need Russell Duncan for this kind of game?
The only positive is that Rankin had a couple of decent long range efforts near the end of the half, but otherwise it's been the easiest 45 Celtic will get this season.

Apparently Jim Delahunt has just signed for Setanta!
What are they gonne do, bring back Julyan?

Dods' agent has apparently told Radio Scotland that he plans to sit down with the ICT board on Monday to resolve the impasse.
Blackie Signs 'til 2009...

Club's official site quotes Charlie as saying not signed yet, hoping to get signed this weekend....
