Sensible idea, although i can't help thinking Charlie will give Bayne a start with Dargo, to "unsettle" the opponents.

Reminds me of Bingham saying he wanted to leave to be closer to his family...then going to the other end of Scotland for the biggest pay packet of his career.

I would imagine that Ritchie's agent has been in touch with just about every pro team in the land.
-
Think he's just gone to Montrose.

I agree with CaleyD, I don't think we'll see him again. The danger for Foxy is that he might go down to Division 3 and be found to be no better than the part timers there.

I presume you are talking about the overpaid dud ex Dundee Utd defender, as a replacement for Dods, as opposed to the almost legendary ex-ICT striker?
-
He tends to be in the T&T squad but doesn't play many games. And no, St Johnstone would not let him go as they are targeting promotion.
Next suggestion?!

Who were the last team to put 5 goals past Gretna? :004:
Although I can't imagine that our goals were anywhere near the calibre of Derry's.

I don't think we need to worry about agents going hungry. They can make enough on a few decent deals to keep them in a good lifestyle for a very long time.
I'm sure there are people here who know more about it than I do, but from what I have heard the most common way they earn money is by getting around 10% of the player's earnings and transfer fee.
For example, if a player goes from ICT to Dundee Utd for a £50,000 transfer fee, on a 3 year contract of £60,000 per annum, the agent would get 10% of the total value of the deal (£230,000) giving him £23,000. Don't know how much of it would get paid upfront though, and how much spread over the 3 years.

I reckon that with just a wee bit of retraining, Bayne could be turned into a central defender and fill the vacancy that may be arising there!
-
He's still giving 100%, and did you see how he celebrated our goals more than anyone else.
It's just that the Machine got a bit rusty over the summer and one or two of the cogs have been sticking.

Parrat's been booked on his Hamilton debut, they are currently losing to Queens Park.

I suppose Caff is the cover, but it's not his position.

".....we will not be doing transfer business with Dundee United in relation to players who are important to our manager's plans. End of story."
It would be very different if he had just said "we will not be doing transfer business with Dundee United. End of story."
I suspect Sutherland chose his words carefully.
-
But that's not what he said!

We've just got so many midfielders at the moment.
Wilson
Black
Rankin
Duncan
McBain
Keogh
Hart
Morgan
+ youngsters
There's probably only space for 7 of them on the team sheet. Wouldn't be surprised if one of them moves on this month in search of regular first team football.

Hearts were much better than Celtic. And what a disaster for Lennon :015:

Yes but what I meant was the journalist maybe had a snippet of info, but wrongly put it all together into a story. Often happens.
-
Maybe the £80,000 mentioned is actually the total bid for 2 or 3 of our players?
-
Why's he been fired? He's a good player who should get a pretty big club. He deserves better than Dundee Utd, but they will be pulling out the stops to get him again.
-
Caff's defending was pretty solid, what we missed was Tokely's forward runs. Caff didn't cross the half way line.
The only good thing about that game is that Charlie has now (hopefully) remembered that our best line-up includes Tokely at right back, Hastings on the left, and Golly on the bench.
-
The support wasn't bad under the circumstances.

Last week I was thinking that we've got a really strong squad for this season. Suddenly I'm less confident!

Nah, with 1 win in 18 he'd be called Arabworst.
