RANGERS -V- ICT : matchday thread
Time to start hacking them to bits?? What happens if the match gets abandoned due too many red cards?

what is considered an acceptable season
A successful season would be to still be in the running for the Top 6 as we approach the split. A great season would be getting the top six. An acceptable season - well if we're honest merely staying in the SPL is an achievement for a club with Caley Thistles resources, I'd say 9th or above was just about acceptable and though disappointing not to be going forward, staying up ultimately isn't too bad a season even if 11th, if you don't believe that, ask the supporters of the club that finishes 12th.

Richie.......
Someone can drink a few pints, get in their car and mow down some kids. On your ""logic"" that makes everyone who drinks a pint of beer a lunatic. Are you a lunatic? :33: :sillywave:

Whats this crap?
Just to show how absurd football stadium rules and stewarding have become. I was watching the Tennis at Wimbledon this lunchtime and to be quite honest not many of the 11,500 people in the All England Clubs Number 1 Court would have got to see much tennis with SPL stadium rules and ICT stewarding. They'd all have been kicked out!! Flags, horns, standing, chanting, singing, various drums and snare drums, loud hailers, air horns, ratchets, .... pints in hand... and people thing the All England Club is stuck up! SPL and the Police across Scotland need to get a grip. Why did the club agree to this behaviour rules, why not stand up against the fun police?

New Manager
I think those being so hostile to any/all of our past managers need to look at the wider picture here. Caley Thistle is probably in a fairly unusual situation for a football club in that we have three ex managers available who whatever their failings elsewhere proved themselves at Caley Thistle and despite going back 5 years in the case of Pele, all 3 could still hit the ground running and know many of the players and other people at the club. Indeed we can still field pretty much a whole team made of players from Pele's era. Given the unfortunate start to this season I can easily see where the board are coming from if they opt for one of the previous managers, rather than gamble on an unknown quantity who even if they turn out to be a good choice may take a period of time we don't really have to bed in and get to know the team. In all three cases Pele, Robo and Brewster basically left for a shot at their 'dream team', and I can't hold that against any of them. The fact they all got well and truly shafted by their 'dream team' means their also unlikely to repeat that move. Better to regret that which you have done than that which you have not done. I can't help but feel if Brewster is appointed that Brewster now could well be a better ICT manager than the Brewster that never left, let the chance at Dundee United slip away and spent the past 18months wondering what if.

The BBC and BLOCKED transmissions
Last winter when I was in Kirkwood, I came across this problem for a match against Aberdeen. I found info about an audio feed on Aberdeen's website, so signed up to their site (oh the shame :015: ) and it gave an option of buying a single match feed, or subscribing till the end of the season at £2something a month. I did the latter and was able to use the Service I signed up to through the package Aberdeen had to listen to several more SPL matches that were blocked by the BBC. So even though CaleyThistle doesnt have any such block or arrangement in place it may be possible to get access to the matches through one of the clubs that have their own overseas media contracts.

Aberdeen game moved to Monday 6th November
Problem is not Setanta but the Scottish Police Forces. If there's 4or5000 home fans watching football on a Friday evening its 5000 fewer people to be in the city centre getting blazing at that time. Friday nights would work for TV and it would work for a lot more fans than any other evening game. Shame on the Scottish Police forces, it should have at least been taken on a case by case basis. Not sure I like the Police's ability to put blanket bans on legal activities? Do we live in a Police State? :006:

Alarm Bells Yes Or No?
Nooooo.... From the Radio Commentery I dont quite know how it came to be 4-1. Sounded like a shocker by the Ref just b4 the first goal. :006: Given the teams we've played so far I dont think we should worry yet. But we have to beat the smaller teams around us, no good drawing with Celtic then getting gubbed by United and Falkirk!
