New Stadium location? (fun thread)
Personally speaking, the Northern Meeting Park would be good!

Attendance reality check.
Stadium relocation would be huge bucks for perhaps not that much difference, but some small things within the stadium would help. In a premier league ground you really shouldn't require welly boots to go to the toilet or queue for a pie - the state of the area behind the West Terrace is an embarrassment and it's getting steadily worse. Surely it's not beyond the means of the club to at least put some chips down on the non-concrete bits to improve the surface at least somewhat as a short term fix.

Do you consider regressing 18months + in 5 games a success then?

Coverage of County game
You can't blame Butcher for the slump, we were doing ok without a manager… it takes someone 'special' to destroy a team in under 2 weeks. Taxi for Yogi! How did the board get sucked in by this clown?

Inverness C.T. -V- Partick Th
In the real world (not the one inhabited by the officials) it was ICT 3-2. Not just did the linesman appear to not know the rules, it now seems he told three contradictory stories about what happened. In any case if there was a problem he had to flag then, he didn't, nor did he when the goal was scored, nor when the Ref awarded the goal - he put his flag up in response to a comment from a Partick Thistle player, huh what?! Then the one in the second half which was either a goal or a penalty.... Then there was the advantage that was called back the moment there was a clear advantage! :(

Should we build a fourth stand
It would be good to see the West Terrace back in use as a Terrace. There is absolutely no safety argument against a four tier terrace that stands up to any rational scrutiny, there is no legal issue with it - just a policy issue within Scottish Football. Large ICT banners on 2 sides and advertising on one to cover the cost of getting the banners made. Mesh printed banners should deal with the wind without issues.

Fans in dangerous situation
But the traffic was already stationary. As for the driver saying he couldn't open the doors, it's just the sort of circumstances were the passengers would go ahead and open it themselves and it's not as if pedestrians aren't allowed along there and there is a pavement between the Raigmore Interchange and Longman Roundabout.
-
Fans in dangerous situation
Which road regulations would these be. If it was a Motorway or restricted special road then yes, but doing so on the A9 is legally no different to letting passengers off on any other Highland Road, where a lot of bus services operate on a hail and ride basis, not to dedicated bus stops.

Emergency Board Meeting?
So Mr Cameron was part of a board that had a strategy solely dependent on Rangers FC in the SPL? Meanwhile they put on an act of integrity to get people to buy season tickets, while all along the SPL clubs were fully behind Doncaster's stitch up? If that's how it was, then the other night might not be the last time this season I'm in Grant Street Park, but it might just have been my last Caley Thistle match! To be brutally honest and I'm sure I'm not alone, it's very nearly the point of no return for Scottish Football for me regardless of what happens now. This afternoons vote should have been a line in the sand, an opportunity to try for a new start for Scottish Football, but instead it looks like the same old corrupt sh!te. Absolutely NO to SPL2 no buts!!

Would you give up your seat for Celtic?
There is no credible safety case against using the Southern end of the West Terrace, nor any legal issue given the overal size of the stadium - just SPL rules - push for these to get changed rather than shifting people out of the North Stand. Given many that have bought tickets in the North Stand do so for the better shelter it affords, its hardly surprising they will largely be unwilling to give up their seats for the open wings of the Main Stand. It's a shame the old family enclosure wasn't moved to the West Terrace, the area with seats now would have been a fantastic wee stand, esp towards the middle. Great view and sheltered from the prevailing westerlies!

Dear Mr Cameron,
As I said something different being reported elsewhere supposedly, according to P&B STV reporting that the SFL clubs wont get to vote, because the SPL board will 'relegate' "rangers" and promote Dundee. If this was being stitched up while Chairman were granstanding their "no to newco' views to appease fans while actually duping them into buying season tickets, then the anger of fans will only grow.
-
Dear Mr Cameron,
Oh dear: http://www.bbc.co.uk...otball/18625293 This sort of carve-up, suggested elsewhere has been agreed and will be enacted without a vote is absolutely as unacceptable as newco in the SPL. Sevco FC can not be relegated because they are not an SPL club. Rangers have ceased to exist and thus can not be relegated, a new club must start at the bottom of the league structure, no exceptions under any circumstances.
-
Dear Mr Cameron,
In so far as I'll still be going to games next season if there is no Rangers. However if the Rangers lookalike FC is in the SPL next season I shall not be setting foot inside the Caledonian Stadium (that might also be the case if there is no Rangers in the SPL but ICT voted in favour of the newco). I'm not paying good money to watch something that is simply rigged, allows massive scales of cheating if your one of the chosen two and has not one shred of sporting credibility left.

Caledonian Stadium will look second best
Since the doors to the main stand are now closed preventing access from the North Stand to the toilets and concourse with catering, a really worthwhile modest improvement would be to put a canopy over the area between the West Terrace and the toilet blocks / catering portacabin, creating in effect an undercover concourse as the main stand has for queuing / waiting in.

Pitch Inspection***GAME OFF***
An inch of rain came down in a few hours in Inverness - that is pretty intense rainfall. Somewhere in the region of 220,000 litres of water dumped on the pitch. However the fact remains the problem is one of the most weather resistant pitches in the land was ruined by installation of under soil heating required by a one size fits all rule with no regards of circumstances or consequences.

Pitch Inspection***GAME OFF***
It was a full on Monsoon for a time - rain woke me up a couple of times, around 6ish it was insane, the noise the rain was making bouncing off the roof was something else. Turned to snow for a while on the hills though so time to get the skis out and head to the hills instead! Undersoil heating installation has surely caused far more postponements than it's prevented???

DUFC game off: CONFIRMED
10,000 people travelled on mountain roads to Scotland's Ski Areas on Sunday from all parts of Scotland and beyond. Should the ski areas have stayed closed to stop these folk travelling for their own safety and to prevent any possible incidents that the emergency services have to deal with?

DUFC game off: CONFIRMED
Do delivery trucks need to be delivering 42inch plasma screens to the retail park and do thousands need to be browising electrical stores and fashion stores at the said retail parks. It's putting lives at risk on icy roads with the country covered in snow, I can't believe this is allowed to continue risking further over-stretching the emergency services.

Our Prayers Could be Answered
The A9 is open all the way South with no significant problems, bit of snow around Speyside but no wind and Drumochter is pretty much black on the traffic Scotland cams.

Ayr game on/off thread
A9 looks better at the Slochd this morning than it did last night when I came over it!! However it was taking two ploughs line of stern to clear the drifts at Moy, wind has picked up further in Inverness and I gather that's where the real problems are this morning and as the frontal system starts to slide South so will the stronger winds in all probability adding to problems around Strathspey down towards Drumochter.

Motherwell Game Off
I assume the decision was taken purely on Saturday and not on the basis of the proposed alternative date of Tuesday 12th? The forecast for Saturday (afternoon tie) is unbroken sunshine and a flat clam. The current best projection for Tuesday night is a risk of flurries and Strong SE winds. From the point of view of fans in the stadium watching, Saturday is looking far more favourable. That said, the skiing is a bit to epic to miss this weekend, so a mid-week game suits me this time! :029: :022:

Who ate all the pies?
To early to really comment on the new catering set up, but staff travelling up from Edinburgh could have it's own issues. However I've thought for a while a better way might be to franchise some of the outlets individually. This way more will always be open and there would be some variety and a bit of competition might improve the offerings and speed of service?
