Yes some excellent points put across but why apportion so much blame to John Hughes ? If the Board had had the guts to follow John's demands, when the side was at its best re. player potential, given him the money to retain the players he wanted to keep and /or during the horrendous injury period to buy the right replacements instead of second choice money to take in lesser able players,we in all probability, would be where Aberdeen are now. The football our Team was playing at it's peak was the best in Scotland and a joy to watch. Unfortunately it wasn't to be and now we are paying the price. It is doubtful if we will ever again reach such dizzy heights but I am still backing Robbo to stabilize the Team. i.e. subject to forward thinking by the new Board and getting some decent loan signings in to give us some extra impetus to spur the present compliment into some form of belief in themselves and the required attitude on the field.

I have watched all our home games this season and the strange thing is that there have been good and bad performances individually from all who have played,. Howeverlack of cohesion, apparent lack of fitness, lack of consistency stand out. We have made almost countless opportunities up front The inability to put the ball in the net or in some instances even to shoot is letting us down so badly. Also apparent is the indecisiveness in defence the slow reactions at set pieces and general lack of commitment.............get these things sorted and we will start climbing the league and put fear into the Clubs above us I agree with a lot of what tm4tj has said above and what jingsmonty seems to have seconded, I would however include Seedorf and Calder amidst his could be good guys. The whole squad however are not showing the fight and determination that our squad had under Butcher and Hughes, whatever happened to the late winners the added time flurries that panicked other Teams ? We need that back desperately., that and teamsmanship, We also need a leader on the field., another Foran but without the indiscipline............If it is the dressingroom that is the liability then get to the root of things. Above all we as supporters must give encouragement. Throughout our history there 'have been those for one reason or another who have ganged up on the manager, calling for his removal and blame being thrust upon him. let's really get behind the Team on Saturday and bring the hammer doon on the Doonhammers.

Not all the blame goes to Ridgers, playing behind a shaky defence and a disciplined one make a hell of a difference to a Keeper's performance. He made some good stops in his time with us but unfortunately wasn't skilled enough in the basics. I. e. Handling, interception of crosses, positioning, awareness of attack opportunities with clearances and commanding the box with voice and action. Analyse that and the conclusions must be not listening to the Coaches or failure on the part of the Coaching staff. Or as his report card might have said at school ''He has the ability but does not put it into practice''

T o my mind the lad made a big mistake in playing through injury, albeit for the sake of the Club. When not 100% fit any goalkeeper would struggle and that was why his form deteriorated and was unable to give performance pre his injury. I imagine he thought he was doing what he did in order to help the Club, I have no idea why the fall out with Robbo and the board but I cannot help feeling he deserved better, he has now lost his International career as well as showcasing himself for another Team. Previous to injury I am sure he would have been snapped up pretty damned quick. I wish him all the very best.
