  1. This page looks like coming to a dead end!
  2. On he other hand if we hit them hard with a couple of early goals we could see opponents that are utterly demoralised with the loss of premier status, a club in turmoil snd their manager about to take an early bath. We should see very entertaining stuff from ICT though
  3. A few more players signed up and a settled injury free Team he will get us in the top six and possibly a final next season, Hopefully he will get a longer contract for himself with ICT too.
  4. You have got me there with the BBC address Scarlet and childrens' hour. The programmes 'we' listened to were more 'grown up' along with Dick Barton there was PC 49, the Quatermass experiment The Goon show etc etc. but I think we have been here before in another thread. Jock Watt will no doubt tell you I. e. If he wasn't out there strutting his stuff on the dance floor at Dalneigh. Apologies I digress again.
  5. How that injury list held us back.
  6. Maybe they are getting the message ?
  7. It's a disease spreading through OAM but I daren't say too much
  8. H.T. 0 - 1 F. T. 1 - 3 1st ICT Storey P T Doolan Goal 38 mins
  9. The reason J H had the Club's biggest budget was because of the injury crisis and the loss of 'Stars' which was very severe, Players had to be brought in hurriedly for cover. OK some of them didn't make the grade but to me that is understandable, they were new, had to fit in to a different style of play and had in some cases to play out of position, not easy from any angle. J H may not get everything right but he has had more success here than any other manager we have had, we should be grateful for that and there is every chance that the new season coming up will see us back to quality play and good results.
  10. Well done again Gavroche#
  11. Our football over the last two seasons has been generally entertaining .......some comments on here haven't been All managers bring in players that don't satisfy the fans from time to time.....some have Sometimes it is prudent to show players the door regardless of what fans think, not that I am in favour of that but it is all down to circumstances some of which we never get to know about.
  12. I'm tired of negative comments too.
  13. Well said, this nonsense is picked up and discussed and passed on and can breed discontent amongst supporters.
  14. Maybe I was watching a different game to some of those on here, I found it enjoyable to see the team playing with determination, even more so in the second half and it was great to see football being played again in a Hughesesque fashion with space being used to the full and accurate passing. I was never in doubt that we were going to take three points. Draper again my man of the match, barging his way into the box playing an attacking role, delighted he got his goal he deserved it. Have to say J H is correct in his comments regarding strike power, We do lack that finisher. Chances went a begging again, Take sentiment out of the equation and we would all be shouting for the money to be put to that use Don't get me wrong I want David Raven in the team as much as anyone does but don't decry Devine he is young and learning fast just like Tremarco is and if you think about it Billy small c was the same when he first came to us. I would like to see Raven get at least another season. I also want to see Devine flourish There are very hard choices to be made. It is very disappointing to see conspiracy theories taking over these pages which is fuelling the anti Hughes campaign, just remember what he did for us last season and that another managerial candidate at the time has a side that didn't do much last season and is only a fraction above us this season with a team that has not had the troubles we have experienced.
  15. H T; 2 - 1 F T: 4 - 2 ICT: Storey KMK: Boyd Goal: 07 mins
  16. David Raven a favourite of mine too and I hope this rumour is unfounded but surely that is all it is a rumour at the moment and should be moved to rumour mill.
  17. A very encouraging end to the season for our second string, seems a lot has been learned after our poor start. Things on the up, always a good sign for the future.
  18. FoolPhysio Sorry to hear you are thinking of 'leaving' FoolPhysio. I fully understand your reasons as the same thoughts were in my mind but what the hell, sticks and stones and all that, so why let the despairados win.? I too find that in most instances I enjoy this forum, there is excellent discussion on a diverse range of topics both witty and serious. Recently however the level of negativity has increased considerably. possibly because we have experienced a very unfortunate season. Criticism is one thing, we can all do that, good or bad but the scathing comments from some are very much below the belt, unjustified and often posted without reasoning. The trouble is if you go against their philosophies you are pounced on. Anyway Good luck to you, I hope you do stay with us, the forum needs people like you and I am sure I am not alone thinking that way.
  19. Thank you Scarlet for your support and comments. A good analogy of stimulation there
  20. DoofersDad I have no need to explain myself to you or anyone else but if you insist then Rig The answer to your first question is in my post----------the second question I did not suggest that so I don't see it as a question. Third question--------Yes.
  21. Rig and DoofersDad you are right in as much as BW is employed by the BBC or perhaps more specifically by the OAM programme. That should be enough in itself to vindicate me. I do not expect him to lie or to paint a rosy picture of a game which is not to his liking but there is no need to emphasise that ICT are in his mind, putting on a poor show, when in fact he is there to relay un unbiased report on proceedings on two teams playing against eachother. If one is cancelling out the other then praise the team who is doing that rather than slate the other, at least that way it will not deter people from coming to watch matches that numerous people have found interesting and entertaining. Maybe not to your taste but we are not all the same. Why is it that those of us who like to defend the manager and the team, who have done us proud against the odds we have come up against this season, are not welcome to have their say. Why do you think you should have the monopoly ?
  22. Another personal attack from you Kingsmills---not unexpected. Is it right that you as a Moderator of this forum should be allowed to do such things? As a so called supporter of ICT do you honestly think it is right that an ex employee of ICT, namely Barry Wilson should be discouraging people from going to football matches by giving damning reports when he attends our games as he does, when the Club is doing it's utmost to attract people into the Stadium? In case you haven't noticed, Kingsmills, our Club has had a very difficult season to date and we are now fighting to survive in the Premier league, Every point at the moment is precious to us and if you don't actually witness dynamic football from the Team every game is that so surprising ? You have had a downer on John Hughes since you heard he was going to manage ICT, occasionally you try to disguise that fact in your postings when the Team is having it's better moments by giving reluctant credit to the man. I wonder if that is to try to keep yourself in a good light just in case he proves you wrong again. Before you sit down and formulate another acid reply to me just remember that Some people will support this Team through the bad times as well as the good and not keep slagging of it's current employees and systems. Bye the way you are not making valued comments and giving good criticism for the benefit of the Club-----On the contrary negativity never does this, perhaps when you mature you will understand.
  23. Poor show on the update situation B W negative as usual I'm afraid ----As bad as I've seen all season Quote. He really sells football
