  1. Wise words immortal fellow What a dilemma for our John, stay put and be a big fish in a small pool, with little likelihood of ever becoming really rich or having the resources to build and progress a stable squad of players playing his brand of football......or........dive headlong into a maelstrom where it is doubtful that he will be given the same freedom to develop and the future as dicey as a crap table...... but...... financially he will prosper and he will be closer to his family. I would really like him to stay as he has shown that he is capable of whipping a side together through injuries and losses of star players as well as getting record results for us and most of all has a jovial, honest and likeable personality that lights up the stadium.

    Injuries.

Just looked up D D's profile.............. doesn't give his age but I think he is catching up with us Scarlet.
  4. Was he riding Shergar and in the company of Lord Lucan and Elvis? If I had a pound for every alleged sighting like this, I would be a tax exile by now. And I would be shouting ''Giesaloanfaffewbawb Cherly

  8. Rangers to reclaim there place in the Scottish Premier?............................Didn't realise this Rangers had ever been there? ................Maybe this should be in the bad journalism thread!!
  9. Looks like we are going to have quite a crowd, I got my ticket late yesterday afternoon. Really looking forward to what should be a cracking match. Attending two matches in a row I haven't done that for many a year. Clapping happily.
  10. I certainly agree with the date, the clothing suggests 51/52. I don't ever remember blazers at the Central School during that era so my guess would be the Crown. OOps. I just noticed the open toe sandals one of the girls is wearing so it could have been later ....sorry I'm not being much help,,............. Could be one for you Scarlet ????????
  11. I will second that............... but let's hope he is here for a long time yet............... in a position worthy of his standards .............Manager or Director ..........promoting ICT and our developing city.
  12. Perhaps we will learn who our trialist/s is/are and get get comment on performance,
  13. Spot on Scarlet, perhaps I did not make it obvious that I did not think John has any intentions of leaving us, Trouble with the ageing process is that I state the obvious and the moot points and the rest is left to guess work.....sorry about that! You are right as assistant to John, Richie would learn the ropes and the managerial ken that is lacking in so many other aspiring managers and give him the confidence to lead the team through the maze of minefields on and off the field of play that trip up so many potentially good managers who rush in and suddenly find themselves floundering out of their depth. I want both Richie and John to spearhead this club into a future of stability and success and I do believe that there is every chance that this will be achieved and that in the future our ground will become too small for ticket demand...........not a dream but a strong possibility.

  15. I would hope that J H would stay in a capacity which would guide Foran whilst he learns the trade. J H is one of the most under-rated managers in the spfl , He is shrewd, honest and has given the league a freshness in tactics which most Clubs are now trying to emulate. When he retires from management I would like to see him go on to higher things in the SFA He is not backward at coming forward ,speaks his mind and knows how football should be run.
  16. What are you lot canvassing for?
  17. Just home from the match, what a cracker no two crackers one from Storey and one from Christie. More than that the first half the Dons didn't know what hit them, we were first to the ball we stole the ball from them, we outplayed and outclassed them. Sadly we weren't in their faces in the second half but that no longer worries me. I have said we as supporters need to be patient, well now I think we can start raising our expectations just a little bit higher. Very few teams will be capable of living with us if we can just play as we did in the first half today and extend it a bit more into the second halfWe were truly immense at times today with all players doing their share and a little bit extra now and again. Well that is off my chest so I will now read what else 'has been said I just had to get this down straight away. Incidentally today I really was happy clapping in the Main Stand.
  18. I thoroughly agree with your sentiments OCG but until Scotland gets a manager outwith old firm contact Players from the Highlands will not be considered until they move on. It is part of deeply inbred culture that will take a lot of rooting out.
