  1. A good day out, nice pies, good weather, good football, a good atmosphere and hassle free transport to and from the match provided by CJT. But scratching my head as to why Elgin are in the bottom league.
  2. Very concise left boot. Your summary. Atmosphere, there yesterday.
  3. When you put fans around a pitch the size of a tennis court, then I think even 200 looks a lot.
  4. On the whole an enjoyable day out. It's a pity we don't have SPFL clubs near by to frequent on more regular basis and it would certainly swell the numbers home and away. The man thing is we are in the next round, put in a good performance and hopefully will take all the positives into the next league match on Saturday. Onwards and upwards.
  5. Was that our fans or just the locals doing their Saturday shop.
  6. It was the goalie who conceded the goal. Main concern for me was the goal scoring ratio against a 2nd division club. It was you who stated that Draper and Meekings weren't playing, had concerns and even called a draw a positive result. Tansey had a great game, including Cole, Doran, Tremarco and Polworth who had the freedom down the wings. Players were getting man marked when we didn't have the ball, our players were hard in the tackle and won the man on man battles, our players were hungry for the ball on the counter attack and the defence reduced their stats to only 1 shot on target. So yes I stand by my words that I thought the midfield and defence were immense today.
  7. No worries there then I thought defence and midfield were immense today.
  8. Cheers, I tried to get my phone to translate but every time I copied and pasted a sentence if just displayed, Feel Loon.
  9. I'm getting worried, I'm reading the words but my head can't make a sentence out of them. Never mind I'm hoping to go into the Elgin transport museum tomorrow, I'm looking forward to seeing the early modes of transport in Elgin, "sandals" and the more modern mode of transport "flip-flops"
  10. Cheers, have the pensioners at Haugh Ct done some home baking.
  11. Aye weeve got fans everywhere. With a good support in Elgin and Forres.
  12. Should be a good game and at least our Moray based fans get a local match for a change.
  13. The colouring book is white do you still want a white crayon.
  14. Eh. Have you read a review on your famous St Giles shopping centre by a local. "It needs a good lick oh paint and some new technology." St Giles named after a Greek hermit. definition. Hermits like living solo, alone in the woods, up in a mountain, or sometimes they live in a city without hardly ever leaving their apartment. The root of the word is the Greek erēmos, meaning “solitary.” A life of solitude isn't for everyone, but a hermit chooses it for any number of reasons. Elgin city?
  15. I'll bring a colouring book and crayons for you to play with on the bus and no chewing the ends.
  16. Is there going to be a high police presence. I wasn't aware of any trouble from the last time we played in Inverness so what's changed since then. Which means there won't be any police at the County v the Arabs match.
  17. That was a rabbit in the headlights day. Dundee kept changing formation so much to figure out how to overcome us that they didnt seemed to know what they were doing or where they should be. Those were the proactive days. We've had good and bad days with our own change of tactics. It would be good to have an outlet for the counter attack from defending a corner, an example Lincoln city, a game with 0-0 written all on it, suddenly with the break on, a beautiful weighted pass not out wide but through the middle for the wide man to cut in, one on one with the keeper and a tap in. We did this with Hayes, Rooney and Foran. Even to spot one of ours making a run would be good and it doesn't have to be the same guy every time. Not giving our central defense too high a line, Tansey and Draper work well in front. I can see why Vigurs gets picked with his capability for a shot on goal, but slack passing and failure to win the ball back, failing to back track or mark the 2nd runner costs us. Polworth has also come on really well and can only get better, one tiny, tiny criticism is the 4 second reflection time when a move doesn't quite come to fruition. The ball can be a good bit away by then. Story and Watkins were always looking for the ball and were off. If they lost it we still had plenty in our own half to defend. More recently we had greater numbers going forward but if say Mulraney lost the ball out wide we seemed to have less in our own half and wide open for the counter attack. We have, I was going to call them good guys but we have enough quality players to win games easy and those times aren't far away. There is a lot of good football that doesn't seem to get talked about and it's still there. So bring on the cup match and time to get going again in the league. To Elgin and beyond. With Vigurs that doesn't happen every match but can happen on the odd bad day.
  18. I've been to a Baltic Place in Peterhead.
  19. Forgot to mention IHE, B & Q is nearby you could get 10% off with your pensioner card.
  20. Wind yer neck in mun. A lot of us are looking forward to an away day. Would rather have played you guys in the final tbh.
  21. The town's really getting behind the team, even the local chippie is selling black pudding and white pudding suppers.
  22. They've got an outside tap at the rear maybe you could fill up some water balloons. I don't think Elgin Fc would appreciate you playing boules on the pitch with some bricks. (Are some people daft enough to believe that someone who work in healthcare is going to start lobbing bricks)
  23. Family run hotel, I was going to have a chat with the owners to see if they could put out some nibbles for the arrival of train gang but seeing as there won't be much spare time available when the train arrives I didn't see much point.
