  1. One of the things that galls me most about this and it was clear it was going to happen is that a legend of his status wasn't even given a proper send off, good luck Ross you deserve better
  2. To be honest I am just as worried with the finances of the club as our squad, we seem to be worse of in terms of budget than we were a few years ago. To be honest TB is having to compete in the SPL with a Division 1 budget. I think the days of part time football might not be that far away
  3. I see nothing wrong in Butcher giving a dealine as he wanted to know where he stood squad wise, he probably knew he wouldnt get them all to agree by the deadline date but hoped to gee up a few of them to agree. Now I have my doubts about Butcher but it seems that with some whatever he does at present is wrong, if he had come out and said he wasn't going to put a deadling on players I am sure the same people would have been saying that was wrong and he should have set a deadline.
  4. Does anyone seriously believe we have a squad nearly as good or likely to be as good as the one that was relegated from the SPL. Were our finances so dramatically different back then. I feel that if we go down this time we will stay down as we wont have the strength of squad to get back up.
  5. thought that may have been the case
  6. It would be good (if possible) if the club cleared this up with some official statement
  7. As many have stated our pre season is crucial, at present we have only weakend the squad so yes I am very worried, do I trust Butcher to fix it, no I am afraid not.
  8. Lets face facts if you cant keep a hold of Tade what chance have we got of getting the likes of Riordan or O'Connor
  9. Luke I admire you unflinching postivity towards everything ICT, I hope its not to big a shock when you realise everything is not as rosy as you think
  10. Think Alex was meaning that Hayes was panicing as it came out before he informed ICT, well thats how I read it anyway
  11. Think you have hit the nail on the head Alex, I very much doubt AFC would put up an official announcement unless it was true and subject to a medical he will sign
  12. Agree that 1 year deals are a huge problem, St Johnstone a club with a similar size of crowds to ourselves have offered Tade a 2 year deal and who can blame him for accepting that.
  13. Very disappointing choice of club but no surprise he is going ,
  14. Good on TB, numerous complaints from myself included that things were not sorted out early enough last season. He needs to know in good time who is committed for next season and if there are not have time to find replacements
  15. Sorry but I think you are being taken in by TB spin. What respect did he show to Munro, none and I don't doubt for a minute he would do the same to Tokely
  16. Excellent news, well done to the club for sorting this out
  17. I do not think that club is in a position to keep players on for loyalties sake, I am afraid we don't have the financial clout to do this as nice as it would be. However I think there are valid footballing reason's to keep Tokely on and I worry that TB will force him out the door and replace him with an inferior player without the passion for the club, after all it has happened before with likes of Munro. I know things can't stay the same for ever and players like Tokely's time will be up soon but please lets make sure we have adequate replacements before we do this.
  18. To say that last season was a let down is an understatement, but a new one is upon us and I think this could one of the most important pre-seasons in our history. TB has to get it right and as he is the man in the job we need to get behind him and hope that he does get it right.
  19. When the final whistle went against Hibs at the last match and this horrible season was over.
  20. Good luck, had some good games for us but probably right for him to move on now
  21. I think that if ICT did return to Division 1 then part time might well be on the cards this time
  22. not to excited at retaining McKay or Tansey...I would imagine Black will be looking at move down South for more dosh
  23. With season tickets, merchandising etc do the ordinary fans not invest enough?
  24. Personally I would rather stick with present design with a few tweaks here and there to freshen it up...most clubs have a strip they are identified for no good chopping and changing every season
  25. I think this is a difficult one but I have to be honest and say no I wouldn't put in more money to uphold sporting integrity as I have more pressing and worthwhile causes I need my cash for. I would be curious to hear all the thoughts of the other SPL clubs, yes for the sake of sporting integrity they should be forced to start again in Division 3. For the likes of ICT could they afford to lose the revenue of the SKY deal along with Rangers visits up here? Our attendances are dwindling and while the County gates will be a great help these should be looked at additional income which the club need as opposed to trying to replace income that we have lost. What I don't get is how the SPL and FIFA have totally different stances on sporting integrity.
