  1. Lets hope the pre contracts are strikers and if so we may have an exciting team that with the right manager gives a bit of excitement for next season . Going from wishing the season was over a couple of weeks ago to looking forward to it starting and who the new guys will be.

That's not how I read it. Options available to them could be candidates that KC has seeked out for/applicants that have applied for the job. Whilst Richie Foran will be the favourite, they might go left field and sign up a manager that nobody really thought of.

Doubt our board will go looking for a manager as it is not their style and also likely to cost .

More likely will wait a couple of weeks to see who applies then short list as has been their previous approach which generally has proved successful .

sit back and enjoy the ride !!

  3. If we had not had such a momentous season last year would fighting for 7 th spot been such a disaster that you would result in not renewing a season ticket. You cannot only sing when you are winning!!

  4. Not sure the fat lady has sung on this yet. When a manager and board/ chairman are at loggerheads it is seldom the manager who wins.

whilst I would love the board to intervene and retain Raven I doubt that will be in the longer best interests of the club if Hughes is retained as manager .

  5. A monthly news update like this would go a long way to get the fans behind the club rather than always suspecting the worst . Silence always results in suspicion yet we hear some real potential progress with this statement .

Yogi is not perfect but the board are culpable on this matter as well.

Doubt the board have much to do with the signings they only agree to the finance and since we only have 7 signed players would doubt the money is the issue. Think this is yogi' s issues p*****g off players with his comments in the press who then do not have a desire to play for him ( Raven excepted) .

According to this article we are third bottom ahead of Partick and County http://stv.tv/sport/football/1321105-celtics-average-wage-bill-is-25-times-higher-than-ross-countys/ I dont know where they got the figures from or how they worked out player wages over company wages (Players and staff)

Is that county,s total wage bill or does it omit the 50% paid by Global which in effect doubles their wage structure!!!!!

Yep, don't you know we have the second smallest budget in the SPFL as management at the club like to keep reminding us of. Becoming pretty tiresome actually.

As a matter of interest who does he think has the lowest?

With the relegation playoffs and the top six both possible but unlikely, what a BRILLIANT time to start a thread like this:amazed:

A look at Kevin's CV  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_MacDonald_(footballer)  may give some insight into the chances of a club with a budget like ICT's being able to meet his likely financial requirements. And that's before you even consider the likelihood of someone who has been 22 years in management accepting a post as assistant to someone with no management experience at all!

Swindon is only team he managed excepting reserve teams ! Also has he not made it known that he prefers the assistant' s job and coach . Affordability is another issue

  10. Is it time to call it quits with John Hughes acknowledging he has brought success to the club but it appears he has run his course .

Great coach but obviously not capable of building a team from lower league players that we can afford.

Give Richie a chance and give him a Donald Park or Kevin Macdonald as coach ( the latter did no bad with Leicester as we can see )

I wonder if he's moaning about the budget because it has been reduced? Or is not what he was advised it would be when HE signed his contract? Or maybe he's wondering where Ryans half-a-mil went.....:tumbleweed:

He should know he spent half of it on S**t players .

i understand he has the biggest budget of any Inverness manager and typical of football when things go wrong it is all down to "no money"

  13. He has been injured with a foot injury which if he tried to "run off" may have ended his career !

Much as I like him I suspect he will be at top end of our earnings with an agent looking to increase his wages further and it is that which I suspect is the stumbling block and not his ability

While a lot of criticism has been aimed at JH (and rightly so), some of this needs to be directed at the board as, in my opinion, they need to be more proactive in matters and I do sometimes wonder if they are just to afraid and cautious at times and cannot take the club up a level.

Throwing caution to the wind chasing a dream results in what happened at Gretna Bankruptcy and playing amateur football. In 21years ICTFC has made a profit on less than 6 occasions so perhaps you could go onto the board and wave that magic wand to allow the funding of a dream everybody would love . Doubt the board wants to struggle like we have this year either!

I'll be very surprised if Polwarth doesn't sign a new contract

Suspect if he does not sign it will be because of his agent trying to punt him elsewhere to line the agents pocket !!

Surprise. Looking your nose down and being derogatory about  the young fans again.

Joe the young fans create a great atmosphere and long may it continue but surely you are not saying that the only way they can do this and enjoy themselves is to act like complete d***s!

Understand that we are a selling club, and don't really know or fully understand the ins and outs (no pun intended) of it all, but surely tieing players up with longer term contracts means that when others come a-fishing, we actually get decent value for them and not just have them walk out the door for no reward.....

Richie Foran and Aaron Dorran both signed up for long term then both sustained long term injuries . Result higher wage bill as they get paid whether playing or not and we need other players to cover who also are unlikely to be of the same quality.

so long term contracts can also back fire it certainly doesn't guarantee success

Exactly, Wedderburn has the turning circle of an articulated tank ffs, he's dreadful. And even if we haven't seen much of Hughes what we've seen is utter ****

If I had to make a choice I would take Wedderburn before Hughes at least he at times looks like a footballer
