  1. do you always base your opinions on players on their jumping ability? Owain served us well last season, and was part, of what i think was probably the best centre midfeild partnership in the league, alongside draper, in particular over the long spell we had from september to february, with 3 loses in toal in that 5 month period. Owain was a total ball player, not a tackler, not an aerial threat, but a technician. I think we'll miss him, draper and foran did well together recently in the centre, but neither have owains ability, and finding as good a balance in the centre without him, will be tough. over to you mr marsella. In saying that if hes the only other player along with A.Shinnie, and Reguero, thats fine by me. 2 will be tough to replace. As for Requero? we have Esson, its just about getting decent cover for him. I agree, I think he'll be a miss in the middle but he is replaceable, and as you said it's all down to Steve Marsella to find us a suitable midfielder that can play with Draper in the middle. But what I don't get is the fact that he thinks going to Hibs is a "new challenge" when they are in Europe for getting beat in a Scottish Cup Final, okay fair enough Europe, but he did say he wasn't bothered if Caley got into Europe but I suppose he was leaving anyway. Another thing is that they are now a bottom six team and without Griffiths next year (I think) then they are going to struggle IMO. A new challenge is when you join a different league not just a different team in the same league as you were in before.
  2. I was just looking through the BBC's SPL page and looking at all the transfer news and I thought of starting a page here to chat about what players will come and go from the SPL. To start us off, I see a lot of new signings at Aberdeen, a lot of goings from DU and a lot more players to arrive in Scotland. Any thoughts?
  3. Celtic? Wow, good move for him even if it means third choice. He will learn an awful lot from the likes of Forster if this move has happened
  4. Why can't they just blinking show us it?!
  5. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jr9vMY1z-R4
  6. Well this makes sense.... New challenge?
  7. Doran had more offers than OTJ I think so fair play to him! And OTJ, if your looking for a new challenge, I think going to Hibs is just the same as playing for ICT in many ways. A new challenge would be to play in England or Wales in different leagues, not in the same league. Simples.
  8. On my FIFA, Calum Ferguson's up to 90 overall rating! :0
  9. I agree, I think in 11/12 we paid a lot of money for his injury. Okay fair enough he did quite well for us last season and was a big help but I agree that the loyalty wasn't there for a while. I think he also moved for his family and to get more money.
  10. not good i wanted rid of him for good So did I, I think everyone does except he is a good conductor for our singing fans ;)
  11. I suppose but with OTJ leaving we will defiantly need a new centre midfielder, unless it's just Foran and Draper, with Ross as the back up but that's not really his game, I think we need a new one so it will be like 12/13 where we had Draper and OTJ in the middle and then the four in front. Any ideas?
  12. I see your point, I found this on STV and I also remember him saying Europe wasn't a big deal with us so this just makes no sense to me, or does it?
  13. Just heard that Ardiyas Novikovas just got realesed by Hearts. Is he worth a shot? He seems very quick but I think he plays were Doran plays although we could switch him across to left wing. Again, money will be an issue so this one is 50/50
  14. Tbh I thot he'd be going to England but with him going to Hibs, I doubt he'll get a good reception when he returns to TCS.... You could just tell that when he was left out of the Motherwell game, he wasn't going to sign for us, and apparently he's going there because you can get flights from Edinburgh to Cardiff and also more money.
  15. He did okay when he was up but I wouldn't sign permanently IMO. I think our main prioritys are a striker, maybe two, a left back, a goalkeeper and an Andy Shinnie replacement.
  16. Does actually seem like it's going to be that kind of style. Most Errea kits have it this season and is likely that ours will be no different, but in saying that, the Atalanta kit doesn't have that style so it could yet again be anything.
  17. Found this on an old post, this would be perfect without the Scottish Fuels, replacing that with Orion Group. Also, with Errea not Macron. See for yourselves.
  18. Where was that from? He would be a great signing IMO
  19. If that left back from County is going, he'd be a great back up or even first team choice if we signed him. Also I think Paul McGowan has shown glimpses of brilliance for St M in recent years and can play the Shinnie role too. If Humphreys leaving, get him signed up Terry (I'm joking as his wage will be too high and he would never come up here!)!!!. Flood is a good player but I'm sure he's staying at DU, Wotherspoon at Hibs looks a decent player and maybe we could snap up some of the leaving Hearts and Dundee players?
  20. That is actually quite nice, should we not have that away kit as ours, seeming that it's a different colour and has blue and red diagonal stripes? Off course it's now Crystal Palaces but that is really what we should be aiming for tbh, with some red and blue on the away kit don ya think?
  21. Or it could be Aaron Aaron Aaron Aaron, Aaron Aaron Aaron Aaron, Doraaaan :-D
  22. Something like this?... Aaron Doran, Caleys Wide Man Aaron Doran, Caleys Wide Man and so on... Or.... The simple chant "Theres Only One Aaron Doran, One Aaron Doooooran" or we could just use his name in the same tune as the Gary Warren song.
