  1. As long as justice for James is achieved ... that's the main thing.

The SFA is a complete shambles but at least they've opened the door to correcting a grave error (rather than shutting up shop in arrogant defiance).

It seems strange that it's only the panel member who owned up that has got binned. The whole panel should have been relieved from duties.

  2. Quality piece. A few bits that would be laugh out loud sarcasm if it wasn't so sad e.g.

"The reaction from across Scottish football when the farcical ruling then landed said it all. It takes a lot to unite the polarised factions of our game, but hats off to the SFA. At times, they can bring the country together as a homogenous, scornful brotherhood."

Inverness folk are strange at times the way they don't support their team by going to games (talk the talk) but what is worse Inverness folk that go over the bridge and support County

Yes ... imagine Dundee Utd fans instead going to Dundee matches before Dundee were relegated ... or Rangers/The Rangers fans instead going to see Celtic matches before they got back to the top division.

    ^ THIS!

35 years ago today Inverness Thistle beat Kilmarnock 3-0 in the Scottish Cup at Kingsmills. There were 2500 in attendance that day ... compared to less than 2000 for Livingston yesterday. Disappointing. Unfathomable. The heights of recent years almost seem a rod for the backs of the current team where the disappointment of relegation has led to apathy and disillusionment. Invernessians have forgotten where we've come from ... where the excitement of any "big" (I.e. league) league team to Kingsmills or Telford Street would draw a larger crowd than any crowd that ICT has had at home this season.

So Jord the Donkey saves a point then fecks up at the end..

Well done to Jordan for the goal ... but somebody seriously needs to have a word in his shell-like about jumping high and heading down.  Never seen a striker like him for that clearance header nonsense.

quite why our goal was disallowed is beyond me...White at no time is looking at the goalie only at the ball, and I'm not convinced he even touches him. Also Doran was clearly pushed over in the penalty area, and then next time he gets a booking for going down, when you can see he catches the defender legs and is trying to regain his feet.

    ^^This ... a million times this! :clapoverhead:

Regarding the Ayr goal ... shambolic ... especially after all the stout defending before that ... pass elsewhere or at least give Trafford a shout.

Gutted McCarts leaving,  huge potential, surprised his ambitions lie with St J though.

A simple stepping-up decision. As a young loon, I imagine he didn't dream endlessly of playing for St J. However, they're in a higher league (at least for now), can therefore command better pay, and are more visible for his next move. There may also be the attraction of being closer to the central belt where he hails from).

I'm sure a year ago George Oakley didn't feel he had arrived by signing for Hamilton Accies but, like many jobs in life, if there is an easy step up/improvement on your status quo, you take a pragmatic view and grab what's available at that moment rather than hold out for a speculative, bigger dream that might never come to fruition.

  8. 3-0 and could easily have been worse. We know where we can find decent part-time footballers with passion for next season. We were an absolute shambles. No-one in our team seemed to care much. Oh for a Gary Warren or Graeme Shinnie. Our players should hang their heads in shame. Our travelling fans who sang their hearts out should get their travel money back.

    Well played, that man.

I read that whole article differently ... a polite "come get me" ... though I hope I'm wrong.

Wow some real fickle fans on here tonight

Dundee utd 3.4 million loss so far by the accounts published

Probably treble our wage bill if not more.

That observation certainly has its place. However my frustration is that we resolutely refuse to make best use of the players we actually do have.

If the “go-to” forward can’t do his job (i.e. score goals) and the manager keeps picking him as the first team starter, who’s really to blame? The striker that can’t score or the manager that keeps playing him?
