We got a lot of chance out of County down their right side, especially when we got in behind their right midfielder and right centre back

This worked a lot better than how we played against the Pars midweek which seemed to be more through the middle.

One of our most entertaining and positive performances of the season and some still take the opportunity to snipe at the latest scapegoat. Can you not be just a little more positive ?

Before the game I would have gladly taken that result and throughout/afterwards I was delighted with the efforts of the lads. Many deserved a specific mention ... Donaldson, Ridgers, Calder, Polworth, Oakley ... but that should be balanced with the fact that successful teams can eek out wins while playing badly. We were the better team and didn't win from numerous openings in the 2nd half. In a highly competitive league points really do mean prizes. I make no apology for looking for ways / personnel that can help us step up further. Plenty others have their doubts/frustrations with Jordan. Maybe you're content with mid table Championship for ever more but I'd like to see the team I love progress ... and I'm entitled to an opinion.

    Calder a stand out

He was my man of the match. Solid in defence, lightening pace tracking back and going forward, good timely tackles and sweet crosses into the box. Carl may struggle to get his place back on that performance.

i thought Daniel was quite poor when he came on

It was Jordan White that came on as a direct replacement for George.

I agree though about George. Had he stayed on I feel sure one of chances might have been put away.

I don't like binning one of our own but I think Jordan White is one of the poorest strikers we've ever had. On P & B a few weeks back a non-ICT fan called him the worst player in the league. A bit harsh maybe but the reality is that we need a better back-up for George. Our own young Daniel has great potential but still lacks physicality. Jordan is big but just doesn't seem to impose himself like you'd expect and seems completely unable to jump. Just throwing it out but ... would it be worth ICT trying to lure Shane Sutherland back from Elgin? Or try giving Nathan Austin a bit more game time to breed confidence and get back his goalscoring from end of last season?

  5. Impressive 1st half. Easily the better team.

Cannot fathom why we didn't freshen things up with more/earlier substitutions when we inevitably tired in the 2nd.

Would have loved to see Daniel Mackay on earlier and Calder come on as well to stretch the game with their pace and energy.

I think you are forgetting that he had a magic hat!!  Clearly someone stole it from it at some point, though!

The magic hat that, in a Highland derby at Dingwall, helped mess up County's League Cup celebrations ... happy days!

No ICT player seemed to really want to take the penalty, Welsh was off the pitch at this point having been subbed

If we could take penalties, we'd be top of the league by two points. Can't we maybe:

    1. Practice penalties

    2. Have a selection of 3/4 penalty takers

    3. If that's a stretch ? ? can we not do a captain's armband-esque switch so everyone knows the penalty-taker for the rest of the game if first choice gets sub'd

Are we pub league or what?

We could have should have won this game but the disaster that some have portrayed the dropping of two points as being has perhaps been put into some context by Ayr winning away convincingly today against Premiership opposition.

I logged on just now to post something to this effect. Beaten to it. ?

OK. Enough is enough. Polworth had a poor game and missed a pen. When is an element of our “support” going to realise that he’s a confidence player and that abuse from the stands is not going to drive him on to a better performance? If there was a stack of better talent to choose from, then fine: sub him. But there isn’t. Get behind the young lad and support him, otherwise accept that he’ll leave and we’ll be the weaker for it. Sadly, it seems that the fans’ verdict might determine his fate.

Looking back at the posts when the goals were conceded, you were fairly critical yourself ?

Robbo on BT described it as "embarrassing" and "schoolboy defending" for four of the goals. Would agree to three of them. Hopefully defensive changes will be made. Lets hope that the lash back is next week.

Is that any different from what the "vultures" were saying?!

JR was bang on by the way and nobody is calling for his head.

Regarding form, Hearts came into this game beating Cove by a goal and Raith on pens. Wow!!

In that context, the 2nd best team in the group getting pumped by 5 (4 of which were crosses that could have been defended better) is a disappointing result ... surely in anyone's book.

JR also rightly said we should be able to set ourselves up to not lose by 4.

    'Nough said.
