TO NAELIFTS !!
Was in school with the young fella on the far right behind IHE.
-
I don't think Marley can expect a regular starting berth at Aberdeen with all the attack minded players already there.
-
Not sure all the fans will warm to him unless he fires up the rest of the team

...bound to set the heather alight ...

Very sad indeed. He had just recently lost his father as well as his parliamentary seat. A proud Highlander but seemingly very well liked and respected for intellect, humility and wit. Watching back his ICT cup final good luck message. It holds a particular poignancy and charm now. Thoughts with wife and young son.

Great to see Devine staying. Thought he was outstanding on Sat, and has been whenever I've seen him.
On the whole he performed very well (even having a decent attempt on goal) but seemed quite easily bossed out of it by Peter Grant for the Falkirk goal. Fine to get him signed up though agreed.

Record v Celtic should read won 2, drawn 1, lost 2 ... Soz.

Not sure if anyone else has mentioned it, but despite all our pre-match concerns about card-happy Willie Column, I thought he had a really good game.
Only issued 2 cards, both correctly, and got the other big decisions right (eg claim for handball v Draper). The fact that nobody's talking about the ref is always a good sign.
Spot on comment. He did seem to get all the big decisions right although I had hoped that we'd nabbed all his red cards for the fans' card display ... hey ho ...
-
Ofere is improving every game - hope we can hang on to him.
He wasn't great today though. Helped hold up play well at points but gave the ball away and wasn't too clever at trapping the ball in 2nd half (probably tired) ... BUT, all that, said he is a valuable member of our legends team

Went into the club shop today ( not the market one ) and have to say they have hardly any stock left of shirts of any kind. Looks like the club have hit the jackpot with merchandise sales. Well done.
Great to hear the level of sales but IMHO that begs the question(s) ... Should more stock have been bought? ... Should limited edition shirt prices have been set slightly lower for proportionately better total sales (much more units x slightly lower price)?
The fact is win or lose (obviously hopefully win) that stuff could be sold after Saturday.
I bought stuff and could have bought still more after the League Cup Final ...just saying.

Here's Falkirk's song for the final Dougal https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6XJ1tKwzNCk&feature=youtu.be
Has their singer had a large intake of helium before she stepped up to the mike?
-
what are you after ?Does anyone know if either the market or stadium shop will have late opening this week?
In Moray and want to get across but not easy with work commitments etc.
The £15 cup final T-shirt as advertised in online club shop. Probably a large but thought I might have to try on.
Had been thinking the embroidered replica shirt in XL but that might be stretching it. The latter might be irresistible if they are still around next week and we've won.
-
Love it! Btw ... Just wondering ... did you used to appear in a paisley patterned dressing gown on a programme with a football slant presented by Frank Skinner and David Baldiel?

My little creation from a few weeks back ... To the tune of Tony Christie/Peter Kay "Amarillo" song ... "This is the time for Caley Thistle, We'll lift the Cup at the whistle, Dreaming dreams of Caley Thistle, And Yogi shall make it be, Show me the Cup oh Caley Thistle, Please please Caley Thistle, Dreaming dreams of Caley Thistle, And Yogi shall make it be!"
The wee snag is Amarillo is the Falkirk goal celebration song lol ;)

Written and recorded by yours truly and my band Tale of two cities.
This song is the result of a bet I lost after we beat Celtic. I promised I would deliver a cup final song if we made it to the final. Released an acoustic demo and it received such acclaim that I felt it was only right to put together a finished version.
It may not be everyones cup of tea, but I wrote it myself. Very easy to write about something you either know a lot about or care a lot about and in my case it fits both those categories. All of my band are ICT fans and the song was also produced by ICT fans too...basically its for the fans.
It's defo growing on me. Love the player mentions and reckon on the day we could all sing the chorusy bit at the end "we are caley, super caley and our colours are red and blue". Makes sense that those with ability and passion for the club do it. Totes thanks for all the effort made and pretty cool to hear the background story to it.
-
Thanks Shaun. Think this is the one you mean. Hmm, not sure about it. Maybe it'll grow on me.

Embroidered cup final shirts have apparently arrived in the shop (market and stadium) in limited numbers, selling for ... Wait for it ... £75?!
Was the League Cup Final version that pricey?
Would have to keep the pie gravy off it and frame it at that sort of price ;)

Reading this thread is really bringing it home what is now just around the corner ... getting goose bumps ... excited.com :)
This is The One ...
-
Just a thought will club make available any of the special printed cup final shirts, with the date etc around the crest?
They are meant to be arriving this coming week from Italy.
-
He said that he 'would love to stay' but leaving the decision in the hands of your agent is never a good idea IMO.
Would be really disappointed if he leaves.
I would love Ofere to stay but his "would love to stay" comment was surely a media-savy front so he can stay on the right side with the fans and not appear as a money-grabber while contract renewal talks are ongoing. He has been around the block and knows how these things work. The Herald headline may be more gamesmanship in a final attempt to bid up the board. If it is his last game then I wish him well and hope he signs off with a goal or two in the final. I'm sure if it comes to it, we'll find an able replacement just as we did in finding Ofere after Mckay left.

I asked a couple of days ago in the Victorian market shop and the girl told me the strips would be on sale the Monday before the final, presumably somewhere around the same price as last year
That's what I was told too.

Thanks for the reply IHE but the link doesn't seem to work?
Consider yourself fortunate.
Had my suspicions ;)

Will the club be selling any more cup final related merchandise / t-shirts? If so, when and where likely to be available?
