  1. OK, now looking back at highlights that's probably a fair point. The incident that led to Dunfermline's free kick is strangely not on CaleyJags TV highlights but it is on the Pars TV extended highlights. Stupid (possibly tired) challenge from Tremarco that gave the ref a decision to make.
  2. ... Only a lighter note CaleyD, are you thinking about changing your profile from "Erse Licking Happy Clapper"?
  3. Good balanced review and pleased to see my view of the referee so eloquently vindicated. No old firm persecution complex here @Sir C the 3rd... just bemused frustration.
  4. I don't think that was the only part of your post that people have taken umbrage with
  5. Sick and tired of referees directly affecting football results. Soft free kick led to equaliser. Dunfermline is another street-wise central belt team that: 1. foul and get away with it and 2. fall to get the free kick. Just feel like there is almost systemic bias against us sometimes.
  6. Seedorf caught hopelessly out of position more than once. Bomb scare. We're living dangerously
  7. Tremarco on for Doran ... protecting a 1-0? I'm getting anxious
  8. Fantastic win! We are obviously looking up now anyway but tonight we are numerically safe from the relegation play-off spot!
  9. In other news Baird scores a crucial goal for Morton to put them 2-1 on Dumbarton
  10. The Companies Act only applies to limited companies. Unless Caley Jags Together is a limited company, then the rules codified in the Companies Act don't apply. If it is a society, it should be governed by its society rules and society legislation. At least the people involved seem to be trying to take things forward now. After all this period of apparent inactivity, if we're going to be pompous/critical about their strict adherence to rules, then let's at least know ourselves which set of rules are to be followed.
  11. He was unusually cautious going forward. Defensively ok though obviously not really tested. Numerous times i was shouting for him to make a run down the flank ... as he has done in the past. This was the night to do it but seemed a bit lacking in confidence, almost as though he was calling for the ball but not really wanting it. That said, unlucky not to score at the back post from a tight angle a bit Ravenesque in Scottish Cup semi.
  12. Fair enough ... asking him/her if he/she was 8 was what got me blocked I think
  13. This was the post inviting comment ... "If I was a Inverness Thistle fan then I definitely wouldn't be a Caley Thistle fan or "Caley" as they are always called."
  14. Yes. Thankfully, at least regarding the original admin post, common sense seems to have finally prevailed and it has come off FB. In a comment to that post, I expressed surprise and disappointment that it went on FB so, as you say Cableguy, my comment was deleted by admin. I put it on again and asked how old admin was. I promptly got blocked thereby preventing me from following a page which often has decent content. All in all a pretty disappointing episode.
  15. Anyone know who runs the admin for this Facebook page?
  16. Looking back at the ref's performance, i just cannot fathom: 1. The 2nd St Mirren penalty award 2. The free kick award that led to St Mirren's 2nd goal 3. Our lack of penalty award (especially Doran's claim ... and especially with their previous soft one ... sometimes ref's will "even it up") Completely mystifying ... and sadly nowhere near the first time this season that we've had genuinely serious complaints at home.
  17. 80 mile round trip for me each game but I broke from tradition today and left early ... 15 mins early .... when it was 2-0 to St Mirren ... but tremendous fight back lads, well done ... just absolutely gutted I missed our goals
  18. I didn't see how it ended but certainly saw the start of aggro in the Main stand refreshment stall. As an Inverness fan (no idea who the Inverness culrpit(s) were), I was embarrassed/ashamed. It started with some friendly banter from a couple of possibly well-oiled but decent-natured Dumbarton fans at the head of the catering queue offering to sing a song for us . However it developed into aggro machismo nonsense and aggressive posturing imho because an Inverness fan came down into the refreshments area initially shouting random frustration about Vigurs but then turning his frustration/aggressive shouts towards the said Dumbarton fans (almost as though he thought they were specifically addressing him ... which they weren't). In truth, the Dumbarton lads were just looking for a laugh. I didn't perceive any ill will at that stage from them. I was close to telling the Inverness fan to pipe down but thought it might just antagonise him further and hoped it might just peter out. My aged father-in-law did actually ask him politely to stop shouting in his earhole (because that's how it felt from his close proximity). The female steward on hand was out of her depth and the Dumbarton fans having been served were encouraged to remove themselves by another steward that came on the scene ... which unfortunately involved the Dumbarton fans having to pass said Inverness fan. By this time, the Dumbarton boys had (possibly understandably) lost their sense of humour and were getting a bit aggro themselves. To be frank, I'd have been annoyed had I been in their shoes. There may have been a physical exchange back outside the refreshment stall area with that or another Inverness fan after/in the course of the Dumbarton fans exiting the refreshment stall area. Naturally, I don't condone either side throwing fists but, like I say, I didn't see how it ended. Well done for the club taking a firm stance on this. I remember when there used to be a tannoy announcement before home matches that said we're a family club and we should kindly refrain from foul and abusive language. It may sound corny these days but it saddens me somewhat that a very small element of our support seems to have moved away significantly from behaviour that's acceptable.
  19. Lol the possession stat looks even more ridiculous looking at these highlights ... well done to George for the assist ... made up for the header miss of Ronnie Rosenthal epic proportions
  20. I can't fathom that possession stat at all. Looked much more like the reverse from where I was sitting.
  21. Well, for me, that was the best team performance at home this season. Lacking maybe in goals but no lack of application and energy. All over the pitch we were 100% committed to pressing and picking up loose/2nd balls. Deserving of a wider margin of victory. Utd were played off the park and their threat snuffed out. Difficult to pick out a man of the match. Doran must start more. Mackay needs more game time. Almost wish the season was just starting now. Well done all!
