  1. Exactly ... likely less than Sheerin. Would we consider him if not ICT? I reckon yes because he has taken a very unfashionable club up to our division, it would be upward progression for him and he is defensively minded for our sieve-like defence.
  2. The new directors are now registered at Companies House. Done later today.
  3. I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation. Would be interesting to hear.
  4. Looking at the club's publicly available filing record at Companies House today (web-link below), it says that Willie Finlayson resigned as a director on 22 May, the day before the club announcement of his appointment as chairman. A bit odd maybe. His statement the next day did refer to his fellow directors although he did say in his statement that he will not be chief executive officer. I see also that the new director appointments are not officially registered at Companies House yet although that may just be a form-filling delay. https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/SC149117/filing-history
  5. ... Or a loyal fan who doesn't want to see the club die and remembers (even if in the Championship) how far things have come since pre-1994.
  6. Cheapest adult + 1 child combo in family stand at Dunfermline is £2 cheaper than ICT. If a second child, Dunfermline becomes considerably more.
  7. Not so sunny today ... so I've put the jetski to one side and have put more effort into the search for our new manager
  8. Good luck with this initiative then, brianm6261 ... given the apparent outrage over frozen season ticket prices, perish the thought.
  9. Is there ever a good time for a Chairman to go on holiday? It's not like he's human like the rest of us or anything. What on earth possessed him to book a holiday just after the season ends? He really should have had the perfect fore-knowledge to appreciate that, by the time it came around, we'd be relegated and he'd be the new focus of chairman-directed fan angst.

  11. Club announcement today ... http://ictfc.com/news/club-news/1933-statement-from-ictfc-board
  12. Anyone got stats on how many other clubs offer season tickets to TWO under-12s for every season ticket adult? A strategy that is probably in effect subsidised by other seat prices tbf ... but which tries to build a decent fan base for generations to come for a young, small city club with controversial birth ... That's provided we don't shoot ourselves in the foot before then by starving money from a club that is quite possibly staring down the barrel of an insolvency event in the not too distant future.
  13. The board has already made big calls post-relegation that weren't guaranteed but were being demanded by many fans (Richie, Kenny both out). It's easy to criticise from the outside, not so easy to lead while on the inside. Playing staff and general staff budgets need sorted for next year. I'm not going to help breed uncertainty by artificially delaying my money no matter how relatively little it is on its own.
  14. Good positivity and common sense imho. Under-12s going free remains a big concession that I doubt other clubs all do. I would have renewed even if there was an increase because I want the club to get through this ... it is already delicate financially without talk of fans not coming along any more. I'm going to try to persuade my wife and daughter to start coming along as well. They made it to a few of last season's games which in truth wasn't the best encouragement for non-ICT/football die-hards to return. I'm not a happy clapper but I love my club.
  15. I suppose Alex Neil would be out of the question? Nice to dream ...
  16. I like the idea of Paul Sheerin for his previous managerial success (albeit lower league), youth coaching experience (currently Aberdeen) and history with ICT set-up ... but would you not expect Scotland's current 2nd club to have a higher achieving Development team than the table below suggests? http://spfl.co.uk/development-league/
  17. Hamilton ... purely because I suspect they'd be less of a threat next season.
  18. I've taken a bit of a pasting elsewhere for suggesting that RF might be through the worst of it and could be worth persevering with ... but this apparent insider stuff, on top of everything else and KC now gone, must make it difficult for him to stay. Death by a thousand cuts as the saying goes.
  19. Read your initial reply to my post. You suggested that I must find relegation and financial loss "entertaining" ... hence my response indicating that I actually care for the club. I was not forming opinions of others, I was defending myself. Would you like the "entertaining" comment said of yourself purely for expressing a different opinion? Would you consider it personal?
  20. Alright, fair enough. Yes Foran certainly isn't Fergie. A fair point though... before Aberdeen, Fergus was sacked by St Mirren. After Aberdeen, he was famously a game away from the sack before beating Nott Forest on way to 1990 FA Cup. After that, the rest is history. Regarding player criticism in the media, it maybe shouldn't happen but yesterday emotions probably running high. Foran is by no means the first. Since you mention Fergie, he slaughtered the Aberdeen team saying he was ashamed of their performance in the post-match interview after 1983 Scottish Cup Final extra-time 1-0 victory over Rangers. I'd say the players had a right to be tired ... just days earlier they had beaten Real Madrid after extra time to win a European trophy. This is probably for another thread ... sorry.
  21. You think i find our situation entertaining? How dare you! ... I care deeply about the club ... one of the few to brave the trip to Dens despite a busy work schedule ... and followed ardently since its entry into the Scottish League ... bemused by your claim alleging insensitivity on my part given your ridiculous personal attack on me here (shocking!!) and the widespread insensivity to a club legend on here who has certainly disappointed yes but is effectively a fan himself ... sounds like he had issues behind the scenes to deal with which we probably shouldn't automatically rule out as having no grounds in fact. I appreciate only too well the spectre of job losses and it pains me but I also understand what the accounts say ... that we don't as a club live comfortably from year to year ... anything but! There is no big rock candy mountain from cup runs or player sales so our manager alternatives are sadly very limited.
  22. May get completely shot down for this but here goes ... in any walk of life one learns most when one is given a baptism of fire ... RF mentioned learning much more from this than a comfortable top six experience ... certainly a costly, painful on-the-job manager training for the fans/club to experience but ... could he be a much better manager next season for this and should he maybe be given the opportunity to start the season? The results have ended better, he loves the club, is tenacious and we have no £ for attracting a sexy alternative. Release the dogs ...
  23. He took over a bottom six team last year. We were 7th in 2015-16.
