  1. Shame we have lost the prospect of Highland derbies. Four wins against County next season would have been enjoyable. To add insult to injury, Vigurs was on the scoresheet.
  2. Adam Rooney scored for Solihull Moors this afternoon.

    Hook the Fish!!

It gives us something to talk about given our season is over!
  4. I’d agree with that, but we will never know what really happened. I must say I was happy that Alba failed to make an impression at the Election, but I await the next stage in this saga from AS.
  5. Was this the stream that someone on here mentioned was tested at the Dundee game before Christmas and worked well? Presumably we were tied into the pixieshambles for the full season? Good to hear the stream was good, and encouraging the youngsters are doing well. Do their fixtures and league table appear anywhere? Are they continuing to play into the summer? If so, if the club can stream them all it would be good, although we are presumably allowed to go and see them play from next week!

He’s also struggled for game time this season and, as you say, his wage demands will be almost certainly be well out of our reach. Some second spells work well, others fail dismally, so any such move is a gamble, but if Fisher is affordable, I would take the chance. As Satan says though, it is the club’s call.

I’d take Fisher back, even as back up for Toddy. I assume Storey will depart so, with Sutherland, he would give us three front men, with Sutherland also able to play in the number 10 role. He did well when given game time in our relegation season and seemed to have a good work ethic on the pitch. He has had little game time at Exeter this season but a move could well suit him and us.
  8. The closing date for applications is Friday 21st to not far away, which could imply a desire to get someone in quite quickly. Like others, I don’t think McCann is interested in it full time. Whether Dodds is remains to be seen. Are there any up and coming Managers in the Highland League who could develop under Robbo’s guidance and fancy a full time role? Stephen MacKay of Brora (ignoring that he used to play for County)?
  9. The Under 18s game on Friday is being streamed live as a test of a new camera system. Hopefully it proves successful, but a shame it could not have been in place earlier in the season. https://ictfc.com/under-18s-game-live-streamed-this-friday
  10. Things are slightly closer to taking shape after tonight’s games. Hamilton are effectively relegated given their goal difference is 18 worse than Killie. The play off place will be either County or Killie. Killie need to beat Hamilton at the weekend and hope County lose to Motherwell or they will finish 11th and County will survive. Dundee beat Raith 3-0 in Kirkcaldy so are in pole position to make the play off final.
  11. Quite happy with that, as at the end of the season he became a bit of an impact player coming off the bench. Hopefully we hear good news about Toddy soon.
  12. Nice one and well deserved for IBM.
  13. Adam Rooney and Rory McAllister scored tonight for Solihull and Cove.
  14. It’s Airdrie against Morton in the play off final, with them beating Cove and Montrose.
  15. I think I have indicated before that I believe Scotland will do better as part of the UK, and I also felt Scotland and the UK would do better as part of the EU. That said, I do agree that there should be another referendum at some point during this parliamentary term given the pro-independence majority of MSPs elected. The country is very split in this, and it could go either way. That’s why I believe that if Boris blocks it, or is seen to campaign in Scotland, it will increase the chances of a pro-independence vote. An interesting few years ahead as the debate takes place.
  16. Another for Sam Winnall this afternoon to help Oxford into the League 1 play offs.
  17. But they will be hungry for a while as the SNP are clear that they will deal with the pandemic first. Seemingly a lot of Green voters are not pro-independence so any referendum will be close, and potentially the election result overstates the support fo independence. Personally, I believe that Boris is the trump card for independence supporters, as Cameron was previously. Who knows??
  18. Danny Williams was sent off today as promotion chasing Halifax lost at home.
  19. The focus needs to be on getting as good a recovery for the economy as possible from the pandemic, minimising job losses and taking steps to keep High Streets relevant. If they die, the impact will be ever lasting and remove jobs for our younger generations. We need the parties to work collaboratively on putting the country in a good place, not being distracted by the constitution.
  20. I’ve watched the BBC coverage since 1200 and they’ve done well. Good to see more diversity amongst the MSPs. After all that, +1 for the SNP, +2 for the Greens, -2 for Labour and -1 for the Lib Dem’s. I doubt the SNP will be in a rush to start the referendum process, as there is no clear majority either way. The poor performance by Douglas Ross did not impact the outcome, but his boss will have a big part in the indyref2 debate. As the majority of MSPs are from pro-independence parties, if Boris digs in and blocks it, it will strengthen the likelihood of a yes vote. Time will tell over the next five years.
  21. Alba got 2.3% of the vote in the North East, so we are spared Alec Salmond reappearing at Holyrood. Will he now quietly disappear or has he something else up his sleeve?
  22. If the BBC prediction is right, there will be little change in the make up of MSPs. SNP and Conservatives unchanged, the Greens up 3, Labour down 2 and the Lib Dem’s down 1. Alba nowhere. The constituency vote is almost exactly 50/50 for pro-independence and unionist parties.
  23. 4-1 so 6-1 on aggregate. Lack of game time this season can’t have helped Brora, but they have that victory over Hearts to look back on.
  24. Raith have beaten Dunfermline in the play offs, so we will face Dunfermline again next season. Cove only drew with Airdrie so they will not make the play off final unless they win away in the second leg. Credit Montrose for beating Morton, but the second leg could change that too as it is at the Cappielow bog.
  25. It all changed at 1416. Cardiff equalised against Rotherham with 2 minutes to play to relegate Rotherham, whilst Derby got back to 3-3 against Sheffield Wednesday and managed to hold on to stay up and relegate Wednesday. I’m just relieved we were not in a similar position last Friday evening, as I vividly recall our relegations on the last days of the seasons in the past.
