  1. We have struggled against Alloa in the last two seasons, but that game was there for the taking. To be honest, I’d have taken a point with 20 minutes to play, but after turning it round with two quick, good goals (particularly Duffy’s) we should have gone on and won comfortably. We have drawn or lost too many games this season that we should have won, and we should be comfortably in a play off place. We had three moments that stopped us winning. First the woeful pass from Devine which led to the first goal. We should have cleared it much sooner and, when he did, we should at the very least have got it much further up the pitch. Second the poor penalty by Storey. I don’t know who was nominated to take penalties in the absence of Welsh, but I’d have gone with Keatings. It needed power so it would need a great save. He made it easy for the goalie. Third the lazy tackle by Harper. I don’t hold it against him as he has done well this season and will make mistakes at his age, and we should have been 3-1 up by then so it would not have mattered. I’d also like to see the disallowed MacGregor goal again to see why it was chalked off. Somehow we are 6th but we should be 5th and we have two hard games coming up against Hearts and Dundee. I accept that the players will be affected by the issues with Robbo and Kells so will cut them some slack, but that does feel like a defeat rather than a draw. To end on a positive, the livestream was much better with two doing the commentary. Iain is knowledgeable and I thought brought balance to it, with less stats as a result.
  2. Oh dear. That’s how to take a penalty. 2-2. Correct decision as foul by Harper.
  3. Toddy wanted to take it. They’ll have an argument after the game. I’d have given it to Keatings to take.
  4. Screamer from Duffy! 1-1. First ever senior goal, and with his wrong foot. Come on, let’s get a winner!
  5. A positive, though. Having two in the commentary team is much better!
  6. That was an underwhelming first half. An encouraging, confident start but then we started giving away too many fouls and then Devine’s terrible pass out of defence gave Alloa the chance they scored from. Since then, we’ve had plenty of the ball, but just two half chances for Toddy, but both headers off target. We can turn this round if we pass better, but equally look like we could lose a second on the break. We've a young bench, but I’d bring Storey and Keatings on if we have not got back in this in the next 10 minutes or so.
  7. Why was MacGregor’s goal there disallowed? I didn’t spot a foul.
  8. A gift. Slack pass out of defence by Devine to give Alloa possession. One pass then Alloa 1 up.
  9. It is Iain Auld, who used to be our Commercial Manager. I met him a few times at hospitality: very knowledgeable.
  10. Just logged into the livestream. Have we a co-commentator?
  11. Unchanged team. Not a surprise after Saturday and hopefully we get another good performance and three points to bring some good cheer to Robbo and Kells. No Welsh in the squad though. Don’t expect an easy game, though. We normally struggle against Alloa.
  12. Put on a great performance for Robbo guys, and secure the three points!
  13. A decent article here about the situation: https://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/19109338.inverness-boss-john-robertson-placed-compassionate-leave/ Saturday must have been really tough for Robbo.
  14. I agree with all the comments above. This highlights that while we often sound off when our club is not doing as well as we hope, it is not nearly as important as other events in life. It is tragic news at a very difficult time, and Robbo was already finding the pandemic tough. My thoughts are with him and his family, whilst I wish Scott all the best too: I had not realised his illness was as bad as it has clearly been. Club statement issued today: https://ictfc.com/club-statement-john-robertson
  15. Win it for Robbo guys! HT 2-0 FT 3-1 ICT Sutherland Alloa Trouten
  16. Just looked at the fixtures. If they both win their next two games, Rangers will go to Parkhead in the last game before the split able to win the league. If that happens, it’s a good job no fans are allowed in! Taxi for Lennon?
  17. Watching the highlights, I hadn’t realised watching it live just how good the first goal was. A long ball by Devine, controlled by Toddy who picked out Sutherland who knocked it first time into the path of Mackay who did the rest. More please!!
  18. I agree re the live stream. The female co-commentator in particular was very knowledgable and well informed about our players. My favourites remain the Arbroath guys and their hilarious patter.
  19. Tobi Sho-Silva scored for promotion chasing Sutton today.
  20. Once we weathered the storm (literally) of the first 10 minutes, we pretty much controlled the game and could have been 2 up before we opened the scoring. We remembered to play the second half today, and deservedly got a second and it could have been more. It was only really in the last few minutes that Ayr worried us, but Ridgers was a match for what they threw at us with one excellent save. We mastered the conditions better and, for the first time in weeks, got the result that the performance justified. The pick for me was Carson. He and Allardice look a good pairing. Ridgers was seldom troubled. The defence coped well, with Devine and Deas looking comfortable whilst Duffy and Harper tried to get forward. MacGregor and Sutherland had decent games, with Toddy and Mackay both having good games. Storey was lively when he came on, with Welsh and Mckay coming on to shore things up. All in all, a good performance and deserved result. Other results show how tight this league is. Arbroath and Queen of the South continue to climb, but if we put a run together the play offs are within reach. Three points against Alloa on Tuesday, please!
