  1. That score at Dundee is interesting.... That was a decent 45. Ayr came out flying but once we got the feel of the wind and pitch, we grew into the game and had two good chances (Sutherland and Todorov) before Mackay scored. We probably deserve to be ahead, but need to master the wind again in the second half when it should favour us. We need to play the full game this week, but the players seem “up for it” so far. Carson is making a difference in midfield, whilst Toddy has noised up the defence but his booking means he needs to be careful. Mackay took his goal well and has been lively. So far so good.
  2. Great save by Ridgers there after MacGregor gave possession away softly in midfield. Carson and Toddy both doing well so far.
  3. Excellent goal: 1-0! Mackay. Very quick break. One touch football. Cool finish.
  4. I agree, it lets us see more. A bit more power from Sutherland there and we’d have been ahead. Ayr goal disallowed for a push in the build up. The wind is benefitting Ayr this half in the main.
  5. Mackay goal rightly disallowed for offside. Decent play though. I like the way they have to wipe the rain off the camera every few minutes!
  6. Ground very soft too. Ball could skid about a lot.
  7. Mckay also on bench with Devine in. Hover over the sound icon to the bottom left and it should let you get sound. Windy conditions. Based on the first four minutes, whoever masters the wind will win this one.
  8. Good to see MacGregor and Carson starting. Presumably Toddy up front and Sutherland wide right with Mackay wide left? We may lack a bit of pace today.
  9. I’ve got that now. The guy on the live chat suggested using Firefox rather than Chrome and I have got in. He said the stream should start about 1450.
  10. Anyone on the livestream? I’ve got my access code but nothing happening when I click “view match”.
  11. It would be helpful if the authorities confirmed that it will go ahead at some point. I would then be happy to wait for a date when fans are allowed to attend.
  12. I’ve reflected on this, and as Scotty has highlighted and the other programmes on the website show, Hearts have used this company for a number of match programmes during lockdown. Given this match has captured the imagination and support of Hearts fans, it makes sense to have a programme and if we benefit financially from it, so much the better. I’ve just bought one as a result. Note that the actual cost is £4.80 once shipping is added, rather than £3. I agree that communication from the club needs to improve significantly. We do not even know if we have cracked the 10,000 barrier for virtual ticket sales. However, we all knew that this season would be a financial battle, given we have been struggling financially for a couple of years even before the pandemic, and there have been signs the club is making an effort in some respects, with the virtual sponsorship and securing some new advertisers. My ask is for regular updates from the Chairman and Chief Executive so fans are kept as informed as possible about developments and plans at the club. I am sure there is a lot going on behind the scenes but sadly we don’t know about much of it. When the time comes, I will be renewing my season ticket and I’ve bought the PPV for this afternoon’s game as I love this club and yearn for more success supporting it in the future.
  13. It’s a Saturday and we have a match! First time since before Christmas.
  14. Dundee away at 1900 on 2 March. Morton home at 1900 on 9 March. No date yet for Raith away.
  15. Ha ha. No dog, just enjoying being able to get exercise in semi retirement after spending years on the road and being away from home for most of the week!
  16. We need some light relief given the ongoing lockdown and the criticism of the club on the forum. An easy one to restart this thread:
  17. PPV details in this link: https://ictfc.com/match-preview-ayr-utd-a Looks like we will still be without Doran, Vincent and McDonald, plus presumably Toshney and McHattie. A mention of changes, so possibly Carson and MacGregor will start, maybe even Todorov. Time will tell!
  18. Given the criticism flying around about the club since Wednesday’s game, I’m not sure what reaction having a programme for the Hearts game costing £3 will have! In case of interest to some, this is the link to it: https://ictfc.com/programme-for-hearts-match
  19. The club’s report on last night is here: https://ictfc.com/match-report-ictfc-0-1-queen-of-the-south Our home game with Raith will be on tv on Friday 12 March.
  20. Just a thought, and not wanting to make work for anyone, but should the club be approached for a zoom discussion with the Supporters Trust or the Wyness Shuffle guys? Ideally the Chairman, Chief Executive, Manager and Captain would take part and answer questions that are of concern to fans. Questions could be collated and provided in advance, and be a platform for an open and honest discussion. Topics could include the financial position (as much as can be made public), community activities, communication, the live stream, ideas to allow the club to bounce back after some semblance of normality returns, and their ambitions for the club in the future. Just a thought but it could go some way to allaying the justifiable concerns that are being voiced.
  21. Thanks Gringo, our next two games are against teams doing (almost) as badly as we have been doing recently. We need to use those as a platform for getting this season back on track as best we can. We should aim for 6 points, 4 may be more likely, but anything else will be unsatisfactory given we have Hearts next Friday.
  22. We should not have lost that game, but we did. 4 points out of 18. That is why we are 9th, not the postponements. We need to start converting some decent play into positive results or we are in trouble. Starting at Ayr on Saturday. If we’d won tonight we’d have been 5th. What a difference a slack goal makes!
