  1. Agree with that, and after having seen a lot of early positives from Elbouzedi and then out for such a long period, it was great to see his enthusiasm and quality at the Crusaders game. Still a potentially uncovered gem I feel. Plus I sometimes feel Bell would work better as a winger, with Austin and Oakley up front. Bell struggles a bit with pace and can struggle with timing his runs. This would also free up a space for Daniel Mckay on the bench to do what he does best and come on late to score the winner.
  2. Austin is fit and ready to feature but was cup tied for tonight's game. Tremarco was apparently a possibility for tonight but was likely not to be risked so should be back on sat
  3. Agreed, we're paying fans who have every right to be annoyed when one of our players loses the plot and could potentially have caused us not only to lose the game but also our play off spot. Some people on this forum suffer from a terrible case of Blind Faith and happy clapper syndrome
  4. Zero midfielders... Could be challenging
  5. Brilliant game, thought Tuesday might be a one off but was pleasantly surprised to see the same level of dedication and quality on show today. No stand outs for me either great team performance
  6. Difficult decision there, especially for 3 and 1 points, all deserving of a point or so. Ref deserves a few points for burning out his whistle
  7. Agree with everything there, good post! As you said it was refreshing to actually be able to sit back and enjoy the football on show without panicking every time the opposition headed into our half
  8. I get that but one or two could easily sink us on tuesday
  9. Maybe so, but Falkirk evidently can score goals... Playing good or bad, we play good and still can't score.... Not wanting to state the obvious here but goals win games
  10. The most frustrating aspect of this today is not the result, to be fair given our opposition and location and team we did well to get that, my worry is the fact that we again today had too many "just wide, just over, inches away, straight at keeper". It's this type of thing that's losing us matches and now to add to the worry the one game upcoming i felt we were favourites to win we now look to go into as underdogs. How Falkirk managed to put 6 past DU today is unimaginable and I really pray that was more to do with a "poor" DU side that an energised Falkirk side. If it's the latter, we are in for the biggest battle of 2018 so far. We could be looking right over our shoulders at Falkirk on wed morning and staring into a month of difficult fixtures to keep ourselves slipping into playoffs position
  11. And now a suddenly amazingly improved Falkirk side who beat dundee United 6-1 today to look forward to on Tuesday.... At this rate we'll be on the wrong end of the playoffs
  12. Fs, we gotta be the most unluckiest team ever as far as promising new signings and injuries
  13. Ah no worries pal, hope it's nothing serious ?
  14. I was just in getting my tickets and speaking to Tommy the groundsman, he was saying ground looking pretty good and unlikely to be affected by any weather between now and 3
  15. That was blatantly stand out for me also, he does that so much and it will stop him progressing in his career at any level, he occasionally shows flashes of brilliance but that huffy child mentality will forever hold him back
  16. Robbo saying he'd happily "win ugly matches"..... That's one right there ?
  17. Oakley has looked for me far stronger and composed since about end of November, he looks determined to make his name and its showed through today. I think Baird is a real trier and I feel really sorry for him, and wish he could convert even half of the chances he's had but he just never looks confident fast or strong enough to break through defences and any open chances he's had in my opinion he's blown them by panicking. Oakley looks to be the first choice and it'll be interesting to see how Austin fits into all this. Still think Baird could be an integral player for us but not upfront sadly
  18. Considering what the team had to endure before the game, I'd say it was a valuable point gained. If we can keep up the current form until January and get rid of some dead wood, hopefully we'll be able to recruit a confident striker
  19. Not the greatest game of football, but all the things considered including late kick off on a Saturday night, we'ld deserved win. Nervous first half but much more composed 2nd half and should have had the game buried by 75 mins. Vigurs stand out for me again, more so with his determination to stay on the field after getting injured. Solid defensive performance again, and again a lot to build on for the league campaign. Lot of positives to take from this last couple of months
  20. Yeh I thought exact same, lot of good pressing play and shots at goal and good movement that I'd love to see again from a different angle. Really miss the Sportscene highlights now
  21. Well said IBM, great day altogether and brilliant result ?
