  1. He financed a hugely expensive team of duds, including managers last season, that gained less points than we did under a complete failure rookie manager. Its not all about finance and I seriously doubt Ketts and Fergs will get it right at the first time of asking
  2. Let me guess..... Ct loyal army FB page? Honestly that guys posts as fact, stuff that he dreams of the night before
  3. Especially in Drapers case, will never forget that smug look the first night he was at County. Bet he thought he'd made a great escape ?
  4. Sorry I maybe worded that wrong, what I was referring to in terms of youth participation is purely the kids wanting to get involved in football and play football, I can only go on the basis of my son and how much hes loved having a high profile local club to support and this has certainly had a huge impact on his interest in just wanting to play and follow football in general. I cetainly agree that I see a lot of very talented kids go through to playing at caley or county dev squads and end up ultimately getting released. Harsh world for them
  5. That's very much my thinking too, on a personal competitive level I want to see county get relegated but it will certainly lower the exposure and interest in football in the highlands which ultimately will lead to less youth participation interest and development. Ultimately what will be will be, its Robbos job to get us back into the PL and the same for county. I'd love nothing more than seeing both highland teams back in the PL, as Caley D mentioned it's sometimes very much perceived as a central belt sport in Scotland and everything revolves around that, and it shouldn't be the case
  6. It would put me off, I have 2 kids tickets and my daughter never comes so it means my son can pick a friend to come instead, this friend will generally spend money on merchandise and could well be persuaded to be the next generation of fan. I also work a Sat every so often and if it falls on a home game day and I can't go I give it to one of a selection of friends of mine who again generally get persuaded by the excitement and the atmosphere (OK taken that too far now) and will then buy tickets themselves for subsequent games. Always better having bums on seats, even if its not the right ones
  7. Hahahaha, to make matters worse too I just noticed I typed WAS Vigurs related initially!!!! Doh
  8. According to the guy there this morning, they are awaiting scanners being fitted? Pretty sure he said that anyway, he also mentioned about some exciting or big news coming up this week at the club, but wouldn't tell us what that was, but did confirm it wasnt Vigurs related :D
  9. I got mine! Interestingly it's no longer a book and tickets it's the scannable card, like a lot of clubs have. Make it a lot easier to get in matchday and easier to carry about
  10. I held off initially last season but ended up getting a half ST, after such a spirited end and the fact they've priced them appropriately means I'll be at the shop Monday morning to renew mine ?
  11. It would be Billy Mckay to let them fight another day, wankers
  12. Donald Park to leave the Scotland u19s coaching role, a reunion with his old pal perhaps? https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/news/donald-park-to-step-down-as-coach-of-scotland-under-19s/?rid=13925
  13. Love the man, always really wanted him to succeed and have had full faith in him for a while. This will be his first proper season coming up and I predict it will be a good one
  14. The first team have (somewhat obviously) been pretty poor this season so you never know, throwing on a few unused hungry youngsters might actually benefit us
  15. I actually think there's every chance crowd numbers will be considerably higher this season. There was a massive drop off of numbers not just due to relegation itself but fans simply refusing to have any affiliation with the club after the whole Foran fiasco and the shocking way the club was run in the lead up to the end of the season. If you include also the boards ridiculous handling of the season ticket pricing at the start of this season and the subsequent furore that ensued, is it any wonder so many stayed away. From what I've heard and from people I've spoken to, I firmly believe the occasional fans are starting to turn their heads again and giving, even this late run of terrific form, are no longer feeling the embarrassment of being associated with a club that were in a huge mess and the inevitable disengagement that followed, but are now starting to take real pride and interest in the way the players and coaching staff have conducted themselves, especially in the latter half of the season. Finishing on a high on Saturday whatever that is, will give everyone a renewed passion for the club going into next season, and if the board can take the time and really think how best to price and market the season tickets and merchandise for next season, i believe we will have much more passion and willingness from all supporters going into what very well could be a very exciting year for the club
  16. Couldn't have said it better, 100% agree with that.
  17. http://ictfc.com/news/club-news/2193-new-signing-rooney-joining-the-team Another one joins us, and we have another Rooney. This could be another good bit of business

  19. What i don't get with that though, he was only on big wages due to his contract having been agreed when we were in the PL, now he like all the others at this level surely have to realise that they will get paid accordingly to the level and finances available. I don't imagine many SPL teams (still to be in the top flight after this season) will be hugely interested in him, and that's not to take anything away from him personally, we all know what he can do and what he's capable of, but his previous injuries and fitness levels would dictate how much use he would be to any top flight team. Some may take a punt on him, to have him warming the bench for a season or 2 like Storey did at Aberdeen, but is that really what he wants. Surely in likes of vigurs case a 3 year deal even at half the money he'd earn at a PL side (hypothetically) is better than a 1 or 2 year deal at a club that will likely waste his talent and simply leave him out for the majority of the games. If they are happy to just go to another Cship side that pays slightly more, surely the only obvious choice depending on how the next few fixtures go would be county, but is that really worth it given they would potentially be at the same level as ourselves in terms of exposure, fan base etc. I'd love to think doran and vigurs will look at the longer and more secure picture in this scenario, but unfortunately as always football rarely works like that
  20. Think they fixed the quacking speaker in the East Side of the North stand?
  21. Yup, to take in yet another midfielder would tell me someone's moving aside from that position. Good to see a bit of youth coming in though
  22. Just what we all need to safeguard the future of the club, a museum
  23. I'm too upset to even comment on anything given how it happened when it did. Sickener, deserved winners of the best game of football I've witnessed at the TCS all season. Proud to be a caley fan tonight though, boys gave us everything they had today
