SFA becoming impatient
Apparantly the SFA are becoming so P'd off with the current situation at Copeland Road that they are hreatening to bring forward plans for a total restructuring of the league system. The plan is to have three leagues controlled by SFA and disband the current set up. There is talk that they could have this set up by the start of season. Was discussed on Sportsound this afternoon but I missed the beginning of the programme.

Sky TV: a what if scenario
As I've stated in other threads I will be turning my back on football therefore I wont be watching any. My view is that if cheating and law breaking are seen to go pretty much unpunished, and if football clubs are prepared to support the lack of punishment, then this game is not worth my support. It is written that the game in Scotland is finished without Rangers. If thats the case then so be it. The founder members of the SPL let it happen. They all tried to buy some form of success and they all have been close to liquidation. If they've now allowed themselves to have to be dependant on TV alone then they have sat back and allowed the game in Scotland to die. As an aside maybe the SPL leaders should be out drumming up business from other TV companies. BBC, ITV, Virgin, ESPN, BT, Eurosport etc. Sky is not the only crowd out there.

Dear Mr Cameron,
Lets put something in perspective here. Rangers Oldco own one share in the SPL. Rangers Oldco want to transfer that share to Newco. The SPL will debate and decide if that share can be transferred. The administrators of Oldco have a right, as the holders of the share, to attend and vote at any meeting of SPL chairmen. Its not about a vacancy. There is no vacancy at present. Its about the transferral of a share.

Rangers go into administration
DUFF AND PHELPS, the administrators of Rangers Football Club, issued the following statement today. Paul Clark, joint administrator, said: "A meeting of creditors was held at Ibrox Stadium today at which creditors voted on a proposal for a Company Voluntary Arrangement issued on May 29, 2012. "Due to a vote against the proposal by the principal creditor, HM Revenue and Customs, the proposal was rejected. "The decision was relayed to shareholders of the company at a subsequent meeting at the stadium. "As a result of that decision, which was known in advance of today's meeting, the consortium led by Charles Green is obliged to buy the club's business and assets and that transaction will be completed imminently. "As announced previously, a liquidator will undertake the liquidation of The Rangers Football Club plc but this process will not begin until the period of administration is brought to an end formally in due course. "The decision of the creditors' meeting has been a major disappointment for Rangers supporters and this was not our preferred outcome as administrators.

Dear Mr Cameron,
The first point I'd make here is this: I do not see myself punishing the club I support by not supporting them if Rangers Newco stay in the SPL. I will not only be walking away from the club I will be walking away from football in Scotland simply because my conscience will not allow me to have any part in supporting a crooked regime. To do otherwise would, in my mind, be aiding and abetting the cheats and taxdodgers of the game. Everyone is talking about loss of revenue and clubs will struggle in a league without Rangers. Wheres the facts and figures. Its all supposition. Sky have never said they'll pull out, nor have they said they'd invoke any clause in contract. Why should they. With over a million customers in Scotland Sky make a lot of money here. They pull out of football and many, many customers will pull the plug on them. No Scottish football on the box and I wont be paying for their package. Loss of gate reciepts? Next season we will likely have one home game against Rangers so we could lose some 3500 ticket sales. A potential maximum loss of 88,000 except it wont be because many of those tickets will be children and concessions. Next season we have two local derbies to look forward to. Ticket sales for them will more than offset the loss from a Rangers visit. A level playing field for everyone with league monies being distributed in a much fairer way would offset the losses to clubs like us. A more realistic chance of finishing a season on top of the league would offset the losses. But how much the loss if people with the same principals as myself decide to forsake football. For every 100 that stay away thats a potential loss of income of £22,000 or more. Having watched and read as things unfold I believe many more than that will stay away if Newco are permitted into the SPL

Rangers go into administration
- Dear Mr Cameron,
I can see there being a lot of negotiation and an eventual yes. For me these negotiations would need to address the following: Move towards 16 team top league. Only one governing body in Scotland. League sponsorship and TV monies shared equally among all teams in league. TV coverage to be set to let every team have the same amount of air time in a season. Not whoevers playing OF. Maybe even look towards the MLS model of player management that does not allow any one team to be dominant every season. More emphasis of the development of home grown talent and less on foriegn journeymen. But no none of that will be discussed and chairmen will be bought off with idle promises.- Pre season fixtures
From official site Six-Hit as pre-season card is revealed Caley Thistle have currently fixed up a pre-season match programme which includes visits to four Highland League clubs plus away games at two Scottish League clubs. Skipper Richie Foran and the team will kick off at Buckie Thistle at 3 pm on Saturday, July 7, and then on the Tuesday will play Clachnacuddin at Grant Street Park, Inverness, at 7.30 pm. The next evening, Wednesday, July 11, North champions Forres Mechanics will be the opposition at Mossett Park. Ross Jack's Elgin City, who have former Caley Thistle centre half Jamie Duff in their side, will host Caley Jags on Saturday the 14th at 3 pm. Brechin City, managed by former Hearts and St Johnstone player Jim Weir, will welcome us to Glebe Park on Tuesday, July 24 (7.30) and the following evening the team play Wick Academy at Harmsworth Park. Chairman Kenny Cameron said:” There are two or three other fixtures to be finalised. This includes the possibility of playing an English Football League club at our own stadium, but discussions on this are ongoing. "Manager Terry Butcher will be rotating his squad for this busy series of games to give players old and new the chance to be fully tuned up for the 2012-13 season."- Rangers go into administration
Press release from Kenny Cameron. Rangers FC in Liquidation Kenny Cameron, chairman of Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC, said: ”It is never good to see a Scottish club going into liquidation and it is a pity that Rangers have come to such a position. As to what happens now at SPL level, as far as our own club is concerned this is a time to consult and to take stock. “In the first instance we will sit down as a board and consider what the various potential outcomes are and how the different scenarios may play out. Following that we will be consulting with our fans through our Supporters Trust, as we have done previously on many occasions’. “I would expect the SPL to call a meeting of all the clubs very shortly to appraise us of the current position, at our last all club meeting we were virtually assured by the Administrators that liquidation was not on their radar following discussions with the leading creditors, but as we now know this was not the case”. "This is not a time for snap judgments or rushed quotes on the issue. We will consider our position and listen to our supporters once the picture becomes clearer. Any speculation by certain parties as to how ICTFC may or may not vote on a NEWCO is purely that, speculation and we find it strange that some seem to know how ICTFC would vote under certain circumstances, they must have a crystal ball " http://ictfc.com/news/club-news/513-rangers-liquidation- Gary Warren ?
- Dear Mr Cameron,
Think the letter is directed at Kenneth not David. Who is David Cameron anyway?- Dear Mr Cameron,
I concur. Vote for the integrity of the game in Scotland and not for the few quid you may or may not gain. The outcome in this will determine whether or not I purchase two season tickets this time.- Panic button pushed
I actually prefer a snickers- Rangers go into administration

I understand that a Newco cannot be sanctioned as they are effectively a new business. I would be very disappointed if they were given entry into the SPL. They should have the same criterea as applies to any other team outside the SPL/SFL. Apply for entry at the bottom and come up on merit. Anything else and Scottish football will be seen by the world as having no balls. - Dear Mr Cameron,
