  1. Two wins against United and a draw against St Johnstone is all we need. Simples. I do, however, think the drive we displayed on sunday will carry us through with a first win of the season against Aberdeen on saturday.

  2. One question thats not asked is 'did the ref think perhaps there was hand to ball contact but it wasn't deemed to be deliberate'? Josh is twisting around to get his body in the way of a ball that he doesn't know, in the nano second of time he has to make a decision, the direction of. He's hardly two yards away from Griffiths so has the ref decided it was not deliberate? Matches are won on goals and Celtics only goals came from well taken set pieces whereas two of ours were from open play.

Barring the first twenty five minutes when Celtic were on top I think we were the team with the most desire to win and we played to win. In extra time when it went to 2-2 Celtic stopped, obviously hoping they'd dominate in shoot-out. We kept going and got the winner. End of.

  3. The venue is big but if seating is allocated sensibly then it can look full. Saturday had around 25k and sunday over 28k. Both relatively small crowds but I didn't think atmosphere was affected. Its what makes the day that matters and not the numbers. I'm sure we can rustle up 10k and Falkirk about 15k. Nice weather and that could be even more. The only thing I can see that could affect the neutrals is the play-off finals that weekend but who cares. We are in the final ofthe biggest trophy in Scotland so should savour the moment and not get tied up in crowd figures. Sadly I'll be in Angola for it.

  4. Thanks for the history lesson I didn't actually need Charles. I chose two significant dates that were after 1707 but if you want to use that period as being a predominately religious war then so be it. Remember also that protestantism was imposed on the Scots by threats and acts of violence some two hundred or so years previous yet, although there were many battles, both in Scotland and England, the ultimate objective of reforming the church and converting all from Roman Catholicism failed as can be seen by the near 50/50 split of Catholic and Protestant of today.

  5. Agree with DD and CB that Oddquines choice of words are not what people of the 20th / 21st centuries would ever have wanted to hear. We done our killing in 1715 and 1745 in the hope of regaining our independence and the result of that attempt was that we became an oppressed nation with many being deported to the colonies and the remainder treated as third class citizens and cannon fodder for many years after.

I am a nationalist and I believe Scotland will eventually win its independence, not by acts of violence but by acts of UK government politicians.

  6. I'm not disputing the fact that neutrals may want to pick up this game - without a doubt they are more than welcome. I'm just stressing the point that should we get paired with Celtic then we may see a few more neutrals than in a normal tie who may be Rangers fans wishing to take in a game where Celtic could get a beat because of the rivalry etc.

It's no different to our fans sitting in the Dundee United end back in 2010 at C*unty's SC final.

I didn't. I bought ticket for County end

  7. Any idea when we will know the date and time??  Why aren't these things fixed?  Are they waiting for the result of the Celtic/Dundee Utd. replay?  Why are the SFA so useless?

Possibly TV companies and not SFA to blame

  8. My one concern would the re-laying of the pitch. I assume this happened recently as they promised it in time for league cup. The turf is unlikely to have rooted fully so there's every chance it will lift in the LC final. It will then be used for Queens next home game and an international before the SC semi's. I'm no expert in turf management but is seems an awful short period to let it all settle down
