ICT -V- Gretna : matchday thread
Shouldn't matter so long as we take the chances and the points from all the teams in the league. Something we weren't good at this season. Two more wins, a good break for the boys and a good pre-season then out with all guns blazing next time.

ONE LAST MARIUS DIG
I think James makes some good points and the Marius digs should now stop. Lets hope he stays and we all get behind the guy. He didn't score today but had a few long range shots and a couple of close range chances but more importantly he had a part in goals that were scored.

Cant wait for the attendee's to start posting. Any bets there'll still be negativity even with a six goal win.

High scoring win. Two youngsters on the score sheet. Decent crowd against a team with no support. And 3 wins out of last 4 games. Future looks ok.

That could be said for teams against us as well. Everyone practises the execution of free kick but not the defending of them

Seems like Zibi had no chance with the goal. Rossco, why are you giving away fouls at that end of the pitch?

Wyness or Wilson??
Ones a striker, ones a right sided midfielder. Dont think there's competition between them but if I were manager I'd be going for Barry. Not so much for what he can give on field but what he can do of it. Barry is seen as a bit of a father figure to a lot of the guys. He advices and coaches them on the training ground and, when they have concerns or problems he's the one that gets the phone call. I know that even when he was out on loan players were ringing him up for some advice. To me all those qualities are what keep the dressing room happy. I always liked Denzil but I feel he just hasn't recovered from his injury and isn't going to set the SPL on fire in the way he did prior. Its a shame but it happens to many players. I would like to see Dennis go to County. I think he would do great there and assist them to the top area of Div 1.

The ICT vision or not
Some excellent points from everyone there. Just a couple of points I'd bring up with Clacher. Our stands are not temporary. they are removable but the founds are six feet of concrete and the assembly, if maintained properly, will last a lot longer than a lot of other stands around the country. Falkirk and St Mirren have both been around for a hundred years or more and have both been in, and held there own in, the top flight of Scottish Football so they have a great deal more experience than us about progression. Before Falkirk were relegated last time they had a regular gate of 8,000 and 17,000 at old firm games. Big difference to our 3000 diehards. Love Street is a lucrative site, not too far from motorway but more or less in the centre of Paisley so it wasn't too difficult to find a buyer once they managed to get the land and necessary permissions for the new ground. Unfortunately our site is 1. Not owned by us but on a long lease. 2. Not permitted for retail under the local plan. What profits do we have to invest? ?150k last year. ?250k the year before. Probably a loss or at best a break even this year. Hardley enough to pay an architect let alone develop the stadium. No chairman of a company, unless he holds the majority shareholding, can operate against boardroom opposition so to say Savage failed is a bit unfair.
