Do you want to see Marius in an ICT shirt next season?
Ballot should have an undecided button as well. I want to see players who can fit in with the team ethos at the club. Players who can fit in with the team. Players good enough to take us to the next level. But most of all players who wear that shirt with pride. If that is Marius then yes.

Whats Marius making of all this.
What is his standard? I've seen him on quite a few occassions and will admit he has little flashes of brilliance in ball control. What I dont see is someone running at defences, skinning players with his style, linking up with his team mates, scoring spectacular goals. I dont see a Ronaldho, nor even a Darcheville or Miller. And the latter two aren't of a brilliant standard. I see a player who was given another chance for his country but will he make it to Euro's? That remains to be seen. I see a player who didn't try to find a better team to resurrect his career. He chose one where he would shine against his team mates enough to keep his starting place in the hope of being noticed. Where the fans would be duped into giving him support over the stalwarts of the club. Niculae came to us from Mainze, a German second div club, where he only played six games all season. He did have 26 starts at Liege and scored 4 goals. As a teenager at Bucharest he made a big name for himself and continued that into the first season or two at Lisbon but since then he hasn't recovered his former talent. If he was as good now as he has been he wouldn't be at this club.

ONE LAST MARIUS DIG
That comment would only make sense if we were currently, and then finish, 11th. We are not and will not. Without the nine points gained against Gretna??

Todays P & J Why do I get the feeling the Sutherland Empire has no ambition nor thought for the paying public?

TWISTED OR WHAT
Dont think so. I'm sure I can transfer or sell my shares to whomsoever I please and dont need anyones approval. Shares not yet issued would need approval of board.

We have a Club Chaplian??
Reverend Watt would have his work cut out with a fair few on this site.

TWISTED OR WHAT
Why would Savage want to win our support? He is history and doesn't need support from anywhere. This is all a personal battle between Sutherland and Savage and as I have said previously, this is not the first battle Sutherland has fought and won (remember Doug McGillvray). Sutherland, by his own admission is very democratic but only if you agree with him. So long as Orion Group hold 12% of ICT then Savage is not history. Perhaps I'm just a very cynical person, it comes from years of seeing power struggles and takeovers in business. and the effect that has on people, but Orion have a 12% stake in the company. They could increase that with the right offer to the right people. Collectively there's between 10 and 15% of stock held in small amounts by a fairly large number of fans. I believe that around 43% is held in some form by the Sutherland empire, either in personal stock or held through various companies, so there is a majority holding possible.

TWISTED OR WHAT
What I would like to know is.........who is the liar in all this? Because the evidence shows that someone is blatently lying. Alan Savage provides a statement to this site before going public. WHY?? In the hope of winning support before he makes his statement official?? Kind of reverse psychology. We'll believe him cos he said it first?? I think I'll be trying to get to the AGM this year. Should be very interesting.

Statement - Orion Group
What was the catalyst that brought about the issuing of that statement to this website and not via the official site? Also note the Orion group logo features of the home page of Niculae's website. Have they paid via strange routes that cannot be directly linked to Niculae in person.

George Fraser is new chairman...
Rok plc, the UK provider of development, building and maintenance services, has acquired Tulloch Construction, Civils and services. The acquisition is in line with Rok's strategy of becoming known as the Nation's Local Builder? with plans to have a presence in most of the UK's major towns and cities through a combination of organic growth and acquisition. Some 875 people in Tulloch Construction's offices in Inverness, Thurso, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Tain, Elgin, Oban, Nairn and Fort William have transferred to Rok. George Fraser, head of Tulloch Construction, is now Rok's Managing Director in Scotland and David Sutherland, of Tulloch Homes, has join the Rok Board as a non executive director. Rok have been active in Central Scotland for some years from a successful base in Glasgow but gains considerable strength from acquiring Tulloch Construction. Rok's Chief Executive Garvis Snook said: "Tulloch Construction, with its strong presence in Scotland, is exactly the type of respected, community-minded builder that fits the Rok model. We're delighted to welcome Tulloch to the Rok family and in particular David Sutherland, with his wealth of experience and relationships in Scotland.? Fraser may not have money but ROK Group do.

Duncan Shearer
BUCKIE THISTLE PART WITH DUNCAN SHEARER Buckie Thistle have parted company with Manager Duncan Shearer. Club President Mark Duncan today said "we had a Board meeting on Sunday afternoon and after a lengthy discussion it was decided that the Management Team had taken us as far as they could and that a change was needed. The club would like to thank both Duncan Shearer and Graeme McBeath for their contribution to the club, they have both been first class to deal with. Graham has agreed to take charge of the team for Saturdays away match at Fraserburgh and again we would like to thank him for this. On a personal level I find it very disappointing as I have enjoyed working with Duncan, we had a great working relationship. But these things happen in football. Although there is no rush to appoint a new Manager a few names came up at our meeting and although we will be making inquiries of one or two it will be interesting to see who applies. The club has made massive progress in the last six years both on and off the pitch and there is no doubt that the Managers job at Buckie is one of the best in the Highland League." Duncan Shearer said (comments courtesy of http://www.highlandleague.net/) "I was as shocked to be given the news as the players were when I phoned to let them know. It all happened so quickly, obviously a meeting this morning was called and I have been told they want a different brand of football. These people pay the wages at the club and that is their prerogative. It is strange to think what we may be looking forward to if we won yesterday's game, and I wonder whether my future hinged on that single result. I cannot complain because I was backed to the hilt in this bid for success. Two trophies in the cabinet, a Scottish Cup run and half a chance of winning the League. I have to say it is by and by now. Without question I cannot but pay huge tribute to Mark Duncan, he is the one I had a great relationship with, we worked well together. He was sad to have to do this but that is football. I was through it all with Aberdeen in 2004 when it hurt really badly, but at Buckie, all I can say is I gave it my best shot. I pray they will achieve that elusive league success, there are very good people at that club, great supporters and I hope they do it. I wish them well." P W D L Buckie Thistle FC 27 17 6 4 2 Trophies and 2nd in league and thats how the guys are treated. Thats near as bad as RC sacking Campbell for not winning attractively

dead men walking as subs
If I was to give notice that I was leaving my employer I'd still be expected to work all the days I was being paid for. Barry and Dennis are getting the chance to show if they are good enough for another contract. I think its the same for Patti. If the attitude is right in training then they deserve to play as much as anyone else.

Where would we be had things been different
To be fair there wasn't really bad run under CC. We lost 3 games at start of season because he was forced to adapt to an alien system to accomodate a player he probably didn't want. Niculae's wage meant there wasn't money to provide the badly needed replacement for Dods. Of course a lot of people were blinkered by the super signing and couldn't see what was really going on.
-
Where would we be had things been different
Had David Sutherland stayed as Chairman, CC still in the saddle, no Niculae, where would we be now? Fighting relegation or top six? Personally I think we'd be in the top half. I think the biggest mistake this club made was bringing in Savage. All the problems started then. CC and Parky would have done a good job and the harmony of the dressing room would have been the envy of all other teams. Rightly niether of them were going to bow to interferance from the boardroom and things went to ratchit. Brew may, or may not, be here for long but I think the demise of Savage will see a return to the ethos that this club was founded on and Brew will reap the accolades.

I BELIEVE ..... in Brewster
Brew will be here next season................Lennon's not quite ready for the role yet :023:
