  1. Jake, are your views your own or are they the views that the military have brainwashed you with?

There has never been true peace in the middle east in over two thousand years and I dont suppose I'll ever see it in my lifetime. Israel, whether she's right or wrong, will always get western support simply because the Jewish people made America.

As for what is or isnt atrocities against innocent people, we the great british nation thought nothing of wiping out the innocent aboriginal peoples of the various countries we colonised around the world when it suited us so what right have we to critisise others.

  2. Your too late to stop this one Hamish. They even wake up the good folks of Fort Augustus with their noise.

As to what kaiser say's. Thats almost true, but if you live in the house for six months you can make even more profit cos you wont get hammered for VAT when you sell.

  3. May I assure that person that Gretna is wholly in Scotland and is in the region of Dumfries and Galloway on the north side of the Solway Firth.

Secondly, I have travelled extensively around the Western Isles, indeed my family originate from Scalpay, Harris, and I have never heard of the national team from those isles. Nor, indeed, have I heard of a national team of Orkney.

Kilveanlegend, your stats are interesting but get your geography right.

  4. At this moment in time the whole saga is mud slinging, rumour and press speculation. So until hard facts come to light I say lets forget Brew and his Arabs and concentrate on the league.

As for 'bigger team', what makes a bigger team? Seems to me the bigger the debt you have the bigger the team you are.

And my final thought on this subject is that if our players do leave for DU they will be playing Div 1 next season and waving to the Blues as they take their place.

  5. TJE makes fair comment, as usual, but is it not the case that ICT had permission to talk to Rankin and had tabled an offer before any press involvement. Also, I doubt very much whether CC or GB went to Dingwall every week for impromptu meetings with County players. Can the same be said of Brewster and his frequent visits to an Inverness restuarant/bar that some players and officials use from time to time.

  6. Only as recently as this weekend did further face to face discussions take place in a cordial attempt to break the impasse.

A social chat over a few beers after Rosscoe's testimonial perhaps ? methinks this is spin-spin-spin

Agree Scotty, Brew's nearly as much a regular in the Heathmount as Grazza is.

  7. Dargo actually looks gigantic next to Campbell. I think if he had turned out to be outstanding he would have got an offer but as it is we're already top heavy in midfield. We even turned down two loan offers from Sheffield. CC is looking for a striker but allowed the lad a trial to see what he could do.

  8. The twins of evil struck a deal whereby JJB Sports have exclusive selling rights to all the merchandise. Rangers have since closed all there shops around the country puting hundreds of staff on the dole.

So remember people, if you shop at JJB you are helping the Glasgow duo.

  9. I'd like to say a big thanks to everyone involved in organising this event. Just a shame there wasnt a few more people in attendance to make it a really good night. Admittedly we never stayed to the end but that was because the grandson was burnt out after his hectic day at the stadium.

And thanks to Tess for the lift back into town.

  10. Firstly, Darg's (contrary to stupid speculation) picked up an slight injury in training so CC took no chances on him aggravating it.

I would have made Morgan MoM but was disappointed to see him spit the dummy when he was pulled. He had a great game as did Barry, considering what he put in the previous night...played in testimonial and with the ledgends at half time... :003:

Proctor did quite well, made a few decent moves and won the ball on a few occassions. Unfortunately, at times, he doesn't lift his head to see who's where. Twice I seen Fox in space and shouting for the ball but Proc ended up boxed in and unable to make any pass.

Caff looked like he's getting back to his old self. Thought he had a very good game.

Fraser just needs to build confidence. He didnt have much to do but pulled of a cracking save.

Campbell I thought showed a great deal of promise and I'm certain DP will make somethign of him. Just a pity he doesn't have the size to go with his speed and skill.

All in all it was a decent performance by everyone. Just a pity the same couldn't be said for the opposition and their foul-mouthed manager.

  11. I dont think anyone should read anything into this game. It was a testimonial. It was all about a fun night for Ross and was certainly not a night for experimenting with players. CC fielded a good enough team in the first half and they did create one or two chances. After half an hour Sheffield upped a gear or two and showed that the top of the Championship is a totally different class to SPL. Even the top SPL teams would struggle to match them. The second half was about giving the guests a game and they all done ok at keeping the scoreline respectable.

The only disappointment for me was the turnout for a guy who has showed the fans of ICT such loyalty and commitment over the last ten years.

  12. Falkirk probably had a bigger budget than us when they were in Div 1. They have a much bigger fanbase (circa 6000) They are well established and so have a lot of sponsorship. We will be in a position to match them one day but we need a **** sight more fans on a regular basis than we've got at the moment.

  13. From what I've read here I wouldn't take too much out of this game considering the team was made up of players who were crocked for most of last season, young lads and triallists. The number of misses in the last couple of games is a bit disconcerting but at least we're creating plenty chances. the real tester will be saturday because Ross C will be up for it.

  14. Harry, slightly of topic. One of Caldwells mates works with me and he has told me a song they sing to Garry when there out on the town. It goes:

    Garry Caldwell

    f**ks dead dogs

    f**ks dead dogs

    f**ks dead dogs

    Gary Caldwell

    f**ks dead dogs

    He loves dog sp*nk

Apparantley the guy is also a closet hun so some good chants could come out of this.

  15. Cant be bothered waiting for RiG to start it so, who's going. Me and missus will be at both with grandson Kyle. Will likely be in social club pre match friday cos Kyle wont get into Innes. Saturday he is a mascot (posh seats for us) so need to be at stadium before two. Will likely pop into Innes for one before then.

  16. Fact: There is a very wide and varied collection of music out there.

Fact: You will always find people who think their musical taste is the best.

Fact: People will always argue about what is or isnt good.

Truth is there shouldnt be arguement because no two people have the same tastes. Even within their own preffered genre there will be likes and dislikes.

And, as for musical training, whats that got to do with anything? It certainly doesnt give anyone the right to criticise anothers taste in music.

Personally, I can listen to almost anything though my preference is for celtic and South American traditional folk music. Others may not like it but that does not make it sh!te.

And I can still put my hand on a 12 incher when the urge takes me.
