No, I am just being realistic about what we can afford, besides it worked well with Brewster the first time. I'd love an experienced manager but other than Tommy Wright (I'd say Kilmarnock didn't work out for him but he did well at St J) who is there 🤔 In no way will Derek Adams come and tbh I wouldn't want him anyway. Jack Ross is also not coming here. Barry Robson might but then again, compo would be an issue so again this is unlikely.

I'd take a rookie looking to get into management, such as Scott Brown or Stevie Naismith (though it won't be either of these) with an experienced assistant such as Donald Park (is he still involved in the game?). I seen this tweet from 2 Instagram stories at the weekend (one from a fewzer Steven Donkey and our friend Caley Central)which made me curious as to the thinking of us posters on here. The question was, "if we fail to win against Morton should BD go, yes or no? Both polls came back at 60-40% in favour of he should go. So guys, what are we thinking on here :).

I still expect another one or two to come in before Mondays deadline so hopefully they are centre backs. With this guy signed today I'd expect Hector-Ingram to not be getting a contract but I've not seen anything about Daniel Fox (if he was even on trial) from the Instagram story so he could well have left also, without getting a contract.

So that's MacDonald, Gardyne, Jamieson and a couple of youngsters gone with only Pearson and Chalmers coming in on loan, so I'd presume we can expect more incomings, probably Jahmal Hector-Ingram 🤔 Hopefully we can then get another defender or 2 before Monday's deadline, especially now that Danny is out for a while :(.

I'm torn between desperately wanting to keep Deas and taking the money and letting the **** go and using the £150k to strengthen. We probably need a left back if he goes so use that money for getting one in asap. We also need a winger and preferably a striker (though thats not desperately, one be signed would be a bonus) so use Tony MacDonald, thug Gardyne wages for recruiting one or two other positions. This post could be irrelevant though if,as has been said above, the move is unlikely.

Well it's getting to that time of year so I thought I'd start this so we can discuss and give our own opinions on what we need in January :ictscarf: I think most on here probably read the Facebook comments on the full time scores that the club post after a match so you would have seen my comment last night about the sort of players I'd like us sign, and I put it in a very strong tone as I have been advocating it since the end of last season. For anyone that doesn't read these said posts or doesn't do social media, I basically stated that we should either give our youngsters more of a chance in the first team instead of continually sending them out on loan every year; the other point I made was that we need to target younger players instead of older players that don't produce the goods (I namechecked Duku due to his lack of goals and Gardyne because of his antics over the past month or so which is giving the club a bad name). What I didn't mention in the post was that I am not a fan of loan market but that's just my opinion, I respect anyone that disagrees with that as you are entitled to your own opinions ;). Anyway on to the positions we need to strengthen I'd say, preferably a striker to replace Gardyne, the I can't really think of any other positions that need strengthening.

One part of the club that is going very right is the youth because I see we beat County under 18s today so I thought I would praise them :ictscarf: Oh and to the article above, no way is BD giving up a manager job to go back to being a number 2 😛

Hi peeps, I thought I'd start this thread to find out where you guys think things are going wrong because it certainly isn't due to a lack of effort or commitment nor do I think it's a manager issue. I really look forward to the contribution from you guys and I know it will go better than my one from yesterday on pie and bovril lol but that one was planned ahaha, I really want banned altogether from there lol so I tried but it didn't work, its idiots that use that forum and tbh I only use it for the Tartan Army ramblings section. I prefer this forum anyway and will try not to get warnings etc hence why I don't post as much, in fact I'm trying to cut down my time on football forums.
