  1. That save tonight was actually a good save especially when he didn't really have much to do before it, he is definitely one of our key players but pundits always seem to highlight outfield key players when in fact GKs are as important as outfield players. He's one autograph I want lol, one of many lol.
  2. I would say that we weren't at our best today, especially in terms of keeping the ball, but a win is a win The plus was that we kept a clean sheet and by the looks of things, no new injuries which is a positive. We'll need to play a bit better on Tuesday though so hopefully the players get refreshed then raring to go come kick off on Tuesday. I must agree that the singing section were immense tonight so keep it up guys :D.
  3. I will probably think the same if we get through Friday unscathed and then get past Arbroath
  4. Just saw a Tweet from journalist Andrew Henderson saying Tom Walsh left the stadium in crutches :( so that probably means Doran will replace him if fit otherwise we'll start with the midfield we finished the match with tonight. Hopefully Billy goes attack minded into Friday then sits back if we go a goal up but tbh, he's got it spot on for a while now so let's trust the man eh :P.
  5. Sometimes someone just needs to admit when their wrong and that day is today for my good self The run up until the Arbroath win was pretty worrying at the time but by god these lads have stepped up ever since and I for one am glad as I did doubt them after that tough loss at Firhill. Note for next season: Never doubt the players attitude or desire to play for this club and don't question managers positions too early See, I can have a laugh and joke at my own expense lol.
  6. I've been saying that for a while now
  7. You could add Deas too as he was part of the defence that kept Morton out today ;). oh and I post on FB after every game on the result post so feel free to have a look :). Good luck finding it mind you
  8. Well I suppose that the players deserve credit for getting back to winning ways so maybe Tuesday was just a bad day at the office but tbh my post was aimed at the inconsistency against the bottom half teams
  9. Didn't we say the same (bar the bit about them being well rested) last time yet we went out and pumped them 3-0 ?
  10. I'll take that . Anyway it doesn't matter what I think because I can't see many guys leaving anyway :). I do think that the summer transfer window is going to be crucial but I'd like us to have a good league cup campaign and then make another early statement in the league and this time keep up the momentum because I really can't see anyone that we should fear bar St J, even Dundee doesn't faze me. I still stand by this statement though lol: It's about time we got out this league once and for all! Oh and in addition to who you'd like us to look at @Eagle4Caley, I'll add Craig Sibbald as I see he's out of contract at the end of the season
  11. Well here goes . The players I'd sell would be Robbie Deas and Roddy MacGregor if we get reasonable offers for them (and it has to be reasonable otherwise the club are well within their rights to reject the offers). Then I'd look at offloading Wallace Duffy (Itrulybelievewe can attract better plus he's been criticised a lot), Aaron Doran and Kirk Broadfoot (these 2 because they aren't getting younger). Then there's the loanees going back to their parent clubs so that would leave plenty of wages available to get in replacements. That leaves us with a squad of:- GK: Mark Ridgers and Cameron Mackay LB: Cameron Harper, Aly Riddle and Lewis Nicolson. RB: Ryan Fyffe (can also play CB) CB: Daniel Devine and Harry Nicolson Attacking Midfielders: Tom Walsh, Robbie Thompson and Harry Hennem Defensive Midfielders: Scott Allardice, Sean Welsh and Lewis Hyde Central Midfielders: David Carson (can also play RB) and Reece McAlear (if he signs permanently) Strikers/Forwards: Billy McKay, Austin Samuels, Ethan Cairns and Shane Sutherland. Imho our first priority for next season would be to get Reece McAlear and possibly Logan Chalmers (though he's unlikely as I see him getting more games at Dundee Utd) signed up permanently. And yes I agree that DoofersDad makes a valid post but it doesn't make me feel any more welcome here, I can't help feeling that way. No wonder I don't post very often .
  12. I'll answer that later but only if you stop being so bloody critical of everything I say .
  13. I think certain people need to read properly before being critical!! where did I say I'd keep the players not classed as top players, if you READ paragraph one you'd see that clearly. I don't know why I bother posting sometimes because I clearly feel unwelcome and not allowed an opinion :(, sorry mods but that's my opinion, clearly one or two posters are waiting to pounce every post I make! Ps, good post Scotty, very valid points made and not once did you slam me in the post unlike the others :).
  14. I posted this on the Facebook page and felt it was relevant here too. I've come to the conclusion tonight that the issue isn't with the management (don't dare criticise me Rig or Highland Capital!!), its with a small number of players who just aren't good enough to play for us, it's time they had a hard look at themselves and started improving if they want to stay at the club. It's a well known phrase in football that no player is irreplaceable so I'd quite happily let these players go and either replace them with youngsters (I've said numerous times that some are capable of the step up to the first team) or with affordable players out of contract at other clubs. Imho we need to look at Dundee Utd who at the start of this season and especially in January started signing quality players rather than quantity and look at them now. Now I know that means selling our best players in order to get in the said quality players but imho we need to start rebuilding the squad anyway so it's about time Mr Gardiner started to back the manager in the transfer market because its now about time we got out this league, we've been in it far too long which is unacceptable in itself. Rant over .
  15. If we win on Tuesday then that means we can't end lower than 3rd but may still have a shot at 2nd so that poses the question, would it be wise to rest players for Morton and Accies games so they are fresher for the play offs in your opinion? I'm torn on this because I would like us to continue our good form but I'd also like us to have the players fresh for the play off games. I think having a smallish squad may make my question irrelevant though lol.
  16. Do you ever take a break from moaning because all you do is pick on me for my opinion !!? Not once did I say that I wasn't calling for change, I merely pointed out that others were agreeing with me in calling for change or at least questioning whether he could turn it around. Then I go on and state that its a good job that Mr Gardiner ignored these loud cries for change because it would have been easy to give us what we wanted. Now leave it at that because I don't want this thread to go off topic
  17. Pundits on Sportscene thought he was trying to head it back to Ridgers but got it all wrong, he really should have lumped it forward. I must say this though: I'm happy we aren't a club that sack managers quickly because it would have been easy to sack him after all the cries for change, hopefully he gets support from now on as it is mission number 1 accomplished and with 3 games left. Oh and did I see Tokely in the dugout :O, I'm about 95% certain it was him keeping Samuels watered before a corner lol.
  18. Can I ask why all the complaints regarding the words of the song, its only a minor error ?
  19. Well all I can say is, what a weekend :O. I was worried when we went 1-0 and 2-1 down but credit must go to all involved, and that includes the management, for turning it around :). Oh and to the poster on page 2, I'm glad I watched the Rugby because Italy deserved the win, it was like Wales just expected to turn up and win, sound familiar?
  20. Knowing us, this is the game we'll perform in and possibly win! Anyway, I'll be watching Rugby so will only get the result and before anyone moans (though that is likely to happen on P and B rather than here, the members are friendlier here than there), I have started watching a LOT more Rugby during lockdown and that would be the case if we were in immense form etc.
  21. And they will lose money if they DON'T ACT because, as I keep saying, the fans just won't bother turning up until he's gone, it's simple as that so they can't win! They should just sack him and hope for promotion so they don't lose money too much. Fans have had more than enough now so its about time Mr Morrison and Gardiner started LISTENING to us instead of hiding away from all the questions and criticism!!!
  22. (Quote) I would like to see Arbroath beat us : it might precipitate Dodds departure. Really hope the Red Lichties hold on and win the title (quote) Hopefully the chairman has the guts to act in the next day or two, especially if he wants fans to keep coming to the ground! How the hell he is still manager is beyond me, he should have went after Ayr!
  23. When is enough, enough you ask? A simple one word answer to that is, NOW! Any other club would have sacked the dud by now but ours are to patient, it's pathetic tbh, it's time they stopped hiding and answered us ffs as I'm getting very angry at their lack of leadership! Oh and it doesn't help when Charlie Bannerman is arguing with me on FB about demanding (and that's what I'm doing, DEMANDING) a change of manager! It's about time these pundits etc (such as Michael Stewart and Leanne Crichton)stopped backing or defending HIM due to being a former colleague, he rightly needs SLATING!!
